FYI if you have spectrum voip it will work just fine. Also 1198 will get you into voicemail. 11 replaces star command and the voicemail prompts respond to the dial action. Enjoy. One of the first uses for LED for the time. Low voltage replaced the plug in ac lights dial.

It seems to work on my FIOS system at home. Granted I don't get many calls, but this is really helpful info! Thank you so much!

It is an LED... I think they made the switch from incandescent to LED in the late 70's phones.

It blew my mind seeing one in a consumer device of that age. I knew they were around before that, but thought they were mostly used in more industrial environments.

Wow! My parents had one of these phones in the early 70s it was in avocado and I fell in love with it LOL I recently bought another one so that I can clean it up and use it. I found out the hard way though that you have to get a special device to make the rotary ones work on VoIP. It was interesting to look at the sticker that said Meridian Bank I live in eastern Pennsylvania and used to do business with them. LOL

Help…. I bought an old phone similar to this one. It has a dial tone and we can call out…. But when we call in it doesn’t ring. What can I do to fix it?

Make sure the ringer volume lever is moved to max. Its a mechanical damper. Also make sure the ringer is wired in. Sometimes they had to be tied into the red/green wires. You should be able to look up the model of the phone to see how the wiring should be. There is a small chance your phone system does not have the 80v ringer voltage needed. That depends on your particular system. you may have to talk to your home phone carrier to see if a mechanical ringer is still supported. I think it should be but I have heard of that being an issue for other people.
