We've never eaten Pesto until we hosted an exchange student from Italy. I had to buy it for him weekly! Hubby and I decided to try it, and wow...we loved it!
I love basil season! I make big batches of pesto, freeze it in silicone ice cube molds, then once frozen, vacuum seal and pop back into freezer. I literally used the last frozen cube from last summer a week before I harvested this years basil. I use Ina Garten's recipe, which is basically just like yours - the only difference is quantity and she uses half walnuts and half pine nuts. I cannot wait to try the marinated mozzarella pearls! Have you tried pesto on a BLT sandwich? Sooooooo good!!! I made a ravioli dish last night and put pesto in the alfredo sauce. Pesto elevates everthing.
Can't wait to try those garlic mozzarella balls! And I have a bunch of basil growing out on my back porch so I'm definitely giving that pesto a try too! 😋 I love how your pronunciation of oil shifts from oil from a southerner to oil from a northerner. I'm a northerner (NE Indiana) so it's pronounced oy-yul up here. ❤😂

Hi I never knew there were Mozzarella Pearls! Looks like a yummy recipe. Those Mozza Pearls look more tasty than eating Mozzarells String Cheese Sticks which are dry. Seems like a good snack alternative. Thank you

Yay! Yes....there is a correct way. Hard to explain here....but count 3 leave stems up then cut. Don't trim from the very bottom. You can google and find a quick video that will show you exactly.
