- SOOOOOOOOOOooooo. I wanted a black Christmas and here in England I just don't think black Christmas decor exist. of corse stores have had out all their Christmas stuff since halloween, but I have YET to find a good thick black Christmas treeeeee

Omg I only bought 3 cans for a 6.5 ft tree, guess who’s going back to the store tomorrow. I found a white tree at the Goodwill so I will start painting mine tonight. Thanks for the video.

Okay so I did my tree the same, and my only question is how do you get the smell of paint of of the tree im going on 2 weeks of smell 🙃

How tall is your tree? Sorry, I might have missed it in the video. I’m planning to buy the same brand of spray paint you used, but it’s quite expensive here in the Philippines-around $45 per can! Given how well they've held up, I suppose that's worth the price, right?
Im going Black Christmas this year in keeping with our country's situation thanks for your help ill save money having to buy one from Amazon or home depot .

Hey from Illinois. I really want a black xmas tree and the one I foung on Amazon is over $100 and the really nice ones are like $200-$300, which I do not have. My daughter said "mom, just buy a regular one and spray paint it". I'm thinking it wouldn't look right or I didn't want to run the risk of the black paint flaking off. This looks really good. Glad I came across your video!
I want to spray paint my white tree for halloween but I dont have a box or bag to sit it on. I think I would have to take a couple branches at a time and put them in a bag and go in the field and spray them and come back and get some more branches.

How did the paint hold up after storage? I wanna do this, just had my first baby girl, and want to do a black tree with pink lights and garland. Damn shame paint went from $5/can to $10/can during covid, and price never came back down.
Really well actual! I have stored it away in its box and used it every Christmas since this video and it’s been fine! No fading or flaking! Still looks as good as the first day!

I used 10 cans on this tree!!! Depends on how crazy you wanna get covering it all I could totally have used more!

How well does the paint hold up? Does it start to flake after a few weeks? Can you still use it now - 2+ years later??
The paint has held up perfectly. This will be year three with the tree and it still looks just as good! No flaking atall

Hi! My only question is how did you get smell of paint out of the tree? I spray painted mine and i can't get the smell out of it. I had it outside for 2 weeks already just brought it in and still smells 🙃
huh thats strange! it could be the brand possibly?? i dont see how there could be a smell since there are soooo many things we paint like furniture and stuff that goes into homes but yet loses that smell once its dry!!

Same here!! You should try it!!! You can totally buy black trees but I couldn’t find any around me plus they were overpriced If I found them online and super like thin you know? Like not very full!
What type of spray paint did you use? Was it matte or a shiny paint?

@@gabrielaramirez2560 not to long actually, maybe a day? I’ve also been painting and also painting cars for way too long where my sense of smell towards paint has kinda gotten normal for me and I don’t notice it as much as others 😂 but I kept it outside near the door for a day and then left doors and windows open when it was in the living room 2 days later had friends over and they didn’t smell any paint!
I want to spray paint my tree black & my man thinks I’m nuts… they sell black Christmas trees at Walmart & I think home depot but I don’t have 2-300$ for a new tree so lol I don’t think my tree is as big as yours tho so less cans of spray paint for me!
I wouldn't do it but to each their own. I want a pink tree but don't think it is very Christmassy, if that is a word. So I am sticking with green or white. Mostly white.

Yes it does it still looks super good this year! I plan on doing a update video with it! I kept it packed up in the original tree box and it didn’t fade or scratch or anything
