@@Shadow-hw3kn Most likely we won't have a real winter. La Nina won't make a difference because of how fast temperatures are warming up and how late it took for the first snow. They never say, "However this winter certainly won't be as cold as it used to be."

No snow for coastal Connecticut because the water is still too hot. Despite 2 days of strong winds from the NW, the water only dropped from 55 degrees to 54.3 degrees and the cold air from the North was heated all the way to 52 degrees despite cloudy and rainy conditions.

I think the cold is here in Ohio to stay, but unfortunately, if you're not in the lake snowbelts, the local forecasters aren't calling for anything more than flurries. Our last three winters in NW Ohio have been way, way below normal snow fall.

Today, Friday, I was very worried about driving back home in this big storm. The weather was fine until we got back to Conn. It now looks like the storm will be here this evening.
This was another elevation snow event. I'm in that snow area of NY and got grated cheese like snow on the grass. It's not the lines bending that cause the storms to head out to see, it's the trough axis that is to far east. When it shifts west, the storms have a better chances of heading up the coast.
Philadelphia hear. We haven't had more then 1-2 inches in the last 5 years. I'm 43. I remember the blizzard of 93 and of 99. 2010 Philadelphia had 76in total. That year was insane. I was running a plow truck for Penn Dot then. Worked over 35hrs straight in many of those 2010 storms
