Hannes L Maybe that's why they're not high statistically then? It could be that it's on a per person basis, and if one person hogs the class for most of a round because then it only counts as one use, whereas with the flame trooper and sentry, they have to get up close and die quickly often, allowing as many people as possible to have a go or two even.
Rogue-9 the Villar perosa sentry kit is in almost every domination map where it replaces most kits(example: Amiens has the villar perosa instead of the flame kit) so yeah smaller modes have the Villar perosa the most with some exceptions like fao and Sinai(i believe)
Robuster Polonier I suspected that but what tipped me off is that I don't hear the classic german accent in his English. I come from Austria myself and I find it extremely hard to train this accent away.
I think the difference between the MG08 and the Viella Perosa (lawnmower) Sentry kits is that the MG08 is more for holding down a point (letting the enemies come to you) while the Viella Perosa is for storming a point and being a bullet sponge for your team
But objectively it's the weakest class since it can't kill a bayonet charging enemy quickly enough not to die in the process. It might kill them with the afterburn but it won't stop a death and a waste of a kit.
He was probably weakened already. From full health, or even above 75 hp, it is practically impossible to kill a bayonet charging enemy without dying, unless they do something stupid like running past one of your flame grenades.
Are you sure? I have my critical hit marker set to red and when i shoot elite classes in the head it shows up red instead of the normal white. Maybe it's registering as a headshot but not dealing the extra damage.
Well, it wouldn't fit, by want I remember from the Forgotten Weapons video, the Villar uses something like a 9mm bullet, and the Mg/08-15 might use a 7.62 bullet, maybe.
Super Gman Guy villar perosa rate of fire+ tankgewehr accuracy+ mg08/15 magazine+ tankgwehr damage+ trench raider speed+ sentry armor+ flame trooper immunities+ not limited field of view= a regular hacker with a mg15 n.a supression
Dammit Rouge, when will you do a pilot/tanker firearms guide and show everyone that the true god gun is in fact the Pieper M1893. Packs more punch than a torpedo bomber, 100 service stars. No but seriously I wish I had more access to it, dunno why but I just love to use it..
That guy at 9:20 sums up everything wrong with BF1. Nobody ever actually plays their class. It got to the stage where I was so frustrated that medics and assault, whoever has ammo bags, just wouldn't put their bags down so I ended up playing them to actually do that. Probably just my experience but people never use their class items when I'm in a game
Zeshi I actually found out (the hard way, sadly) that even though you're flame-resistant as a flametrooper, your own incendiary grenade will still set you on fire...
I think the Villar Perosa kit is the most used because it is really effective against infantry, so you could use it until the end of the round without dying, if you had a proper team, with good medics and support players.
i love tank hunter, i'm level 70 and i don't get even 5 kills with sawed-off shotgun because i don't have good moment to did this... this kit is rare and only on maps with vehicles :c i hope they will add a bit more places with this kit
On operations, tdm, war pigeons, domination and rush (mainly on domination) the villar perossa sentry kit is as common as the mg on conquest, actually only rush ,operations, argonnne forest domination and Sinai tdm have the mg
I believe the villa paroza gets a lot of its usage time from the smaller map modes, as it seems to be the most available elite class in modes like domination, war pigeons, and TDM. I can think of 3 maps off the top of my head that have the villa paroza as the elite unit, and it feels like the other elite classes get less exposure on those smaller modes.
The new update has made it so I can't quick check the scoreboard on ps4 as it doesn't stay on my last used menu option and it's so annoying for such a small thing...anyway in terms of Elite classes...the tank hunter is my favourite :)
Can't understand why they would change that...it's only a small thing but so inconvenient. Having a quick check of scores is now impossible especially considering the slight menu delay there seems to be already.
Laughing Fuzzball OMG it's SO FUCKING ANNOYING! It has happened to me all the times I stayed for the next round of operations and hate it even more when I'm ptfo and have to quit to Main menu
The fear factor of the wex is what makes it so good in my opinion. I have had enemies run away from me when they are completely out of my range just because I shot the damn thing in the air.
If you ask me the tank hunter is the best, it has a double barreled shotgun, and a giant anti take sniper rifle that can be refilled by a nice support player, what is not to love?
The Villa Perosa has a high usage because it is available often in operations. For example, in the Oil of Empires operation it is available twice to the Ottoman side when they are defending the last 2 sectors in the Suez Canal map. It is also available on other operations.
My favourite is the flame trooper, but the MG sentry is a close second, I don't really have much time with the tank hunter/trench raider but the little tank hunter gameplay I do have was kinda bland.
Sentry class is just the most common, except for maybe the flamethrower. Plus, I seem to find sentry kits most often out of all maps in Conquest Monte Grappa.
+Batman yeah, by accident I played a round of domination and found the villar perosa and nobody was able to kill me after that. It's totally OP, especially on smaller maps and game modes.
I really enjoy using the flametrooper if I have a good medic with me. If I get the flametrooper on Amiens I always try to act like a battering ram, and when it works, it's incredibly fun!
Great video, Rogue-9. One correction: the sentries only have partial immunity to frontal melee strikes. It's only as long as their health is high. At lower health (I believe lower than the melee weapon damage), the melee attacker will be able to initiate a takedown kill from the front that ignores the sentry's defense buff.
Thanks for sharing that, I didn't even think to test at low health but now that you mention it, I think I might have done it a couple of times in open game play
also i believe that they are not immuned to melee from sides. full charged medical syringe can also insta-kill any elite class from any angle according to mythbuster testings but i find it unreliable, possibly glitch or just internet problems. btw a gas mask elite class kill is always my biggest dream in this game
Villa Perosa: Great for aggressive players. MG/08: Great for point defense due to magazine size. Wex: Area Denial. Trench Raider: Very disruptive and causes panic. Tank Hunter: Keeps vehicles in check. I personally like the Villa due to the TTK and reload speed. easy to kill two, three people at a time with it .
I believe the reason behind the high usage time is be because on both maps of Devil's Anvil the Germans get all Elite classes except for the Tank Hunter. The classes keep respawning, and the sentry smg is a very easy class
A decent assumption of why the Villar Perosa has such a high usage time despite being only on Monte Grappa for Conquest is the fact that it typically camps the bunker of Butter. If it has a capable squad of Supports and Medics, it is almost unkillable in there.
I think the Sentries have a higher user time because of modes like TDM. The Villar Perosa and MG-05 elites are the most common on this gamemode (for non-DLC maps anyway). The Vex being slightly less common in the TDM versions of maps and the Tank Hunter not existing at all in TDM. If I had to guess, I think the Vex appears on 2 maps in non-DLC TDM. The Villar Perosa being on 4 maps. And the MG-05 has 3 maps.
I think the Villar-Perosa guy is very high because he's on a lot of domination maps, and because he's SOOOO powerful that he can be easily be active the entire game, while a lot of the other kits don't last as long.
The sentry can also be melee'd if he is at kill percent of the melee weapon you're using. If you ask me I feel its more of a bug than anything. Also the sentries seem to have a faster damage tick when hit by gas.
If you play him right and have tight enough buildings, areas and places to hide like on the desert map, the flame trooper class is in my opinion the most powerful, you can hit people hiding behind windows, around corners, he basically has unlimited ammo because I used him for a entire game just about. Plus just about any trooper you hit is almost guaranteed to die from the burn.
My by far favourite elite is the flamethrower... But there's one thing about the tank hunter: you actually run faster, if you equip the double-barrel sawed-off shotgun...
Wanna clear out a building? Villar Perosa. Wanna clear out a choke point? Wex. Wanna clear an objective out in the open? MG 08/15. Wanna troll infantry players and annoy tanks from across the map? Tankgewehr. Wanna do 1-3? Trench Raider Kit.
Hey Rogue I'd like to ask you a question which comes to my mind after I watched this video. The new medic specializations, which supposed to be Stimulant Syringe(After reviving an ally you both gain a 20% boost in sprint speed for 8 seconds) must outperform Trench Raider by almost 10 percent according to your data(111%) in terms of running. is it possible to test this out ? who is the flash of bf1 ? who is the fastest man alive lol ? cheers
one other thing i would have added is the balancing of the villar perosa. That fire rate drains the mags fast, and the double reload can make you scream when you get 2, and because of the horrible spawn mechanism in BF1, 3 more spawn on the dead bodies of the ones you just killed. no secondary is rough there.
Sentries are not invulnerable to melee strikes, you can perform a takedown from the front back and side, and the same applies to bayonet charging. I personally die as a sentry mainly from bayonet charging from the front. No elite class is invulnerable, all of them can be bayonet charged or melee killed from any side
One big reason the Villar Perosa kit has so much usage time is because of team deathmatch. The kit is extremely common in the vanilla maps, appearing as the pick-up in 5 out of 10. (The MG 08/15 appears 3 times, the flamethrower 2 times.) This is compounded by the fact that the VP sentry is grossly overpowered for small-map TDM. A smart player can grab it (the first kit always comes 3 mins into the match) and keep it the entire match, racking up a ridiculous kill differential with its extremely fast kill speed and occasionally dipping out of the action for half a minute to heal. Even if you get bayoneted or otherwise killed, you have the advantage on the next drop because it happens 3 mins after the kit-wearer dies and you're one of two who knows when that was. Frankly, who wins or loses the match can often depend on who picks up the kit. The other two kits don't make nearly the same impact, and many players just won't even go for the MG 08/15 or Wex because they think they think the defense buff isn't worth the weapon inferiority. The VP is definitely OP. Abuse it or lose to it.
One frustration with the Wex as well is that it's often very glitchy and unreliable. You can hose an enemy down sometimes and you just won't be doing damage for no clear reason. The range and wind-up time leaves flamethrowers oddly vulnerable to bayonet rushes that can easily push through the flames for the kill even if they die shortly after. Worst of all, perhaps, is the prone damage reduction. I think it was supposed to simulate a "stop, drop, and roll" countermeasure, but it works even if the player is STILL IN THE FIRE, be it an incendiary grenade or even a direct flamethrower attack. So a viable strategy if you're caught by a flamethrower is to go prone and unload into him, since your incoming damage will be heavily reduced for some reason even though the flamethrower is literally pouring fire right on top of you. It is broken and dumb.
I think the Vila useage time comes mostly from Operations. On Infantry only Operations and some others instead of Behemoths you gain Elite classes. And there is pretty much always a vila available. Also the vila is so strong that people wielding that kit survive much longer then most other kits.
How I play sentry: -see the text stating the sentry kit is in area (cause the announcer fucked off when he wouldn't shut up about my pigeon) - see the icon -see it dissappear -bayonet charge towards the kits location -impale the poor sentry before he even picked up the weapon properly. Works more often than you'd think
Tank hunter is super underrated. Might be because I mostly play scout but I kill SO MANY people with this gun. An insta kill anywhere on the map is pretty incredible if you have the accuracy for it.
Operation, that good sentry is very common there as somehow the auto join function of operation alway drop people into the italian-autrian operation and that map has this elite
+SouthSide Rizzy I had to turn down the gameplay volume during editing cs my character's constant shouting for ammo at this guy was interrupting my narration... how he didn't get it is beyond me...
The reason the Vilar Perosa is the 2nd most, is that the tracker goes by the time played. The Vilar Perosa is really good against players, so sentries last longer while using it.
Elite Classes are wildly OP, except for the Trench Raider and Flamethrower. Do you wanna pick from the Deus Vult Rambo, Double Automatico Knight, Insta-Kill Artillery Sniper, or the Walking-Speed Melee Guy with a BB gun or the Hairspray-Lighter Combo with a range of 2.75 Feet?
One question that gun that you were using in the beginning what map can it be found I never seen it and I didn't even know it was a weapon for the sentry I thought the sentry had only one gun
My favourite thing to do is find a squad with a sentry, especially the Villar Perosa and set up some dynamite and anti tank mines and blow them all up as they come down, most times one shooting the sentry and getting my much deserved justice
Would be interesting to see a server with only elite classes and all vehicles available always. Carnage. No ammo or medical, raiders would have to heal teammates 🤔. Could be fun though
On the villar perosa usage, I guess Life expectancy is the highest. 1 time 10 mins is better than 3 times 3 minutes. Also, what is the multiplier of the K-bullet on armored elites ? I know it does increased damage but not how much more
the Villar perosa has the second most used play time because it's really damn good in close ranges, therefore you're less likely to be bayonet charged. I'm kinda surprised the MG is most used, I know it's most frequently spawned but I largely see it gets ignored. I think the tankgewer should be more powerful against vehicles, 3 shots to kill heavy tanks, that'd make it more viable as an anti vehicle weapon, it's largely just used against infantry
yeah, you'd think so but when I got the sentry because my friend asked me to (we both have seen the video) i chucked it at my feet and took like 12 or 13 damage. Oh and I bet my best kill streak 50 kills as the trench raider on n.nights (you should mith bust the frag/stick grenade 1 shotting sentrys thing)
maybe doom's video was wrong then... I tested the trench raider (because he didn't) and found that frags do 30 max dmg. If I get a chance to go back test the other kits, I'll take a look
Watching the video now and just got to the sentry movement speeds. I have noticed, with standard troopers (or at least seems) that like the Trench Raider, if you arm your melee weapon, you run faster than of carrying a gun. I could be won't but like I said, it sure looks like you are running a lot faster. So perhaps every trooper runs at 111% faster with a melee weapon?
The sentry kits need a buff in my opinion only to resist grenades like the flame Trooper not gas grenades of course Go in to a trench and ignite the flamethrower and burn anyone in the way
trench raider is the way to go in close range. with self healing and smoke grenades you can get in close and the raider club is the gift that keeps on giving.
If any elite class slips below 55 they can be killed by a Saber/Sawtooth/Hatchet/Shovel all heavy weapons that do 55 and can be killed on any angle with these weapons. Same goes for knife and club but I don't know their damage.
Rogue-9 That's alright, I can wait, but my chances of getting in would be slim in Australia. But again, I'm glad you did the effectiveness number on the elites, because that's almost exactly what I asked for. Keep it up!
The sentries have higher user times simply because they, on average, have a higher survivability rate.
Captain Tiel and the Villar Perosa is wildly op too, lol.
Hannes L Maybe that's why they're not high statistically then? It could be that it's on a per person basis, and if one person hogs the class for most of a round because then it only counts as one use, whereas with the flame trooper and sentry, they have to get up close and die quickly often, allowing as many people as possible to have a go or two even.
but the trench raider has a bandage crate
Orange Larfleeze and its only available for people with premium
Oh sorry my bad but your right then
The tank hunter is the funniest elite class for sure. It's so cool to one shot everybody.
i guess it is pretty randomly asking but does anyone know of a good place to stream newly released series online ?
@Erick Manuel I watch on Flixzone. You can find it by googling :)
@Erick Manuel i would suggest flixzone. You can find it on google :)

Don't forget that the villar perosa is a 12 year olds high fire rate dream
That would explain it then!
why can you speak german so well? you pronounced 0achtfufzehn perfectly. :0
DarkInfernape65 the villar perosa is on fao fortress as well. When you play domination it spawns on the B flag.
your german pronunciation is on point!
Might be cause he's German
Robuster Polonier I suspected that but what tipped me off is that I don't hear the classic german accent in his English. I come from Austria myself and I find it extremely hard to train this accent away.
Tbh I didn't even know he was German his English is on point!
tbh I am still not sure if he is german
MZXD Its very good, really!!!
The reason why the villar perosa is higher on usage is because it is practically on every team deathmatch map
Skavenger 115 not that I'm complaining about it when/if I get it
I don,t think td is that popular nowdays mate.
I think the difference between the MG08 and the Viella Perosa (lawnmower) Sentry kits is that the MG08 is more for holding down a point (letting the enemies come to you) while the Viella Perosa is for storming a point and being a bullet sponge for your team
I like the flame trooper for the scare it gives players plus the fact that you can damage them through walls.
The scare aspect is so true though!
PlatinumPizza hearing the flame thrower go off is terrifying
But objectively it's the weakest class since it can't kill a bayonet charging enemy quickly enough not to die in the process. It might kill them with the afterburn but it won't stop a death and a waste of a kit.

He was probably weakened already. From full health, or even above 75 hp, it is practically impossible to kill a bayonet charging enemy without dying, unless they do something stupid like running past one of your flame grenades.
Elite classes also take more damage from K bullets, and do not have a headshot multiplier
Phillip Decker Few things as sweet as headshoting a sentry with a K Bullet :)
Are you sure? I have my critical hit marker set to red and when i shoot elite classes in the head it shows up red instead of the normal white. Maybe it's registering as a headshot but not dealing the extra damage.

The balance is fine. The only problem is that they have to remove them from TDM at least.
That advertisement was really dope and goes with the flow of the game. You just earned yourself a sub

RustedOpus I feel exactly the same and I would love if it was added as an infantry class weapon, perhaps as a medic weapon
RustedOpus I for one really wish I would be able to use the Sawed-Off Shotgun as Assault, I would play assault SO much more.

IIRC the Villar Perosa is available in death match and the other small modes like domination.

Alekseev Med well it set me on fire last time, so I assumed that is how it works...
I think the Villar Perosa kit is the most used because it is really effective against infantry, so you could use it until the end of the round without dying, if you had a proper team, with good medics and support players.

And your video make me forgot about it
Thanks
I think with the Double Italian Uzi Sentry you get more usage time because it's such a good weapon and the map layout gives it a lot of survivability.
I appreciate the comparison but please call it with it's name: it is the first sub-machinegun of the history, it deserves some respect ;)
Very nice Video my Friend...

(The MG 08/15 appears 3 times, the flamethrower 2 times.)
This is compounded by the fact that the VP sentry is grossly overpowered for small-map TDM.
8:58 the rate of fire is 1800 (900 for each "automatico")
How I play sentry:
-see the text stating the sentry kit is in area (cause the announcer fucked off when he wouldn't shut up about my pigeon)
- see the icon
-see it dissappear
-bayonet charge towards the kits location
-impale the poor sentry before he even picked up the weapon properly.
Works more often than you'd think
Tank hunter is super underrated. Might be because I mostly play scout but I kill SO MANY people with this gun. An insta kill anywhere on the map is pretty incredible if you have the accuracy for it.
I really like Villar Perosa. And I believe it's because of the reinforcements you get when you lose a platoon in Devils Anvil.
The villar parosa class is the most versatile and, as long as it's not alone and it has ammo, it's pure terrifying lead storm.
Operation, that good sentry is very common there as somehow the auto join function of operation alway drop people into the italian-autrian operation and that map has this elite
Dont you hate it when a Support class doesnt give ammo?
+SouthSide Rizzy I had to turn down the gameplay volume during editing cs my character's constant shouting for ammo at this guy was interrupting my narration... how he didn't get it is beyond me...
You sound very German the way you say German words actually very good.
The reason the Vilar Perosa is the 2nd most, is that the tracker goes by the time played. The Vilar Perosa is really good against players, so sentries last longer while using it.
Ny favourite is the anti tank kit because you can realy snipe infantry and destroy vehicles... but it has small ammo capacity
This is a super video!!! :)
Villa Perosa, from what I've played, is on Suez TDM
I think the reason why the villar perosa has so much time since its so good!
The Villar Perosa is more common because it's on a lot of Domination maps. Elite classes see a ton of use in Domination.
For me
1-trench raider
2-tank hunter
3-villar perosa
4-flame thrower
5-mg08/15
Villar perosa is used on Monte Grappa, Amiens and Empires Edge
I know it does increased damage but not how much more
I've used the villa pillorsa on other maps , I always get it on when I use the class on Giants shadow
The villar perosa spawns only on Mount Grappa in conquest, non including the dlc maps, but it's pratically in every team deathmatch map.
the Villar perosa has the second most used play time because it's really damn good in close ranges, therefore you're less likely to be bayonet charged.
I got a 29 killstreak as the Mg 15 (big machine gun sentry) like two days ago
Are you sure sentry get one shot by fag (frag) grenades? because I've tanked the for sure
Pretty sure. It's also shown in the Doom49 video I linked right at the end. I guess, if they aren't close enough you can still survive them
yeah, you'd think so but when I got the sentry because my friend asked me to (we both have seen the video) i chucked it at my feet and took like 12 or 13 damage.
If I get a chance to go back test the other kits, I'll take a look
cool thanks man
the villar perosa is very popular in tdm where mg0815 kits sometimes dont get picked up at all. that would be my explanation
Watching the video now and just got to the sentry movement speeds. I have noticed, with standard troopers (or at least seems) that like the Trench Raider, if you arm your melee weapon, you run faster than of carrying a gun. I could be won't but like I said, it sure looks like you are running a lot faster. So perhaps every trooper runs at 111% faster with a melee weapon?
hmmm, interesting idea. not sure if anyone ever tested that...
4:42 where is the FT light tank?
The sentry kits need a buff in my opinion only to resist grenades like the flame Trooper not gas grenades of course
Go in to a trench and ignite the flamethrower and burn anyone in the way
trench raider is the way to go in close range. with self healing and smoke grenades you can get in close and the raider club is the gift that keeps on giving.
the trench raider works the same as the sentries ,it cannot be melee killed from the front but can be stabbed from behind or bayonet charged
If any elite class slips below 55 they can be killed by a Saber/Sawtooth/Hatchet/Shovel all heavy weapons that do 55 and can be killed on any angle with these weapons. Same goes for knife and club but I don't know their damage.
You Finally did the video! Good work as well, but is the Rogue clan on PS4?
I also like the efficiency stat you did
Sadly not for now. At least there can't be a platoon that I'm part of, since I've not upgraded to the new console generation yet
Rogue-9 That's alright, I can wait, but my chances of getting in would be slim in Australia. But again, I'm glad you did the effectiveness number on the elites, because that's almost exactly what I asked for. Keep it up!
On monte grappa, I was camping in grass and I got a quad fead with the shotgun and on a 25 person kill streak i was so proud
Never bored of you and nevel will i
