Yesterday, CoolTrainerRyan and Pokerev each released a video talking about a new Pokemon manufacturing and printing error in the newest Lunchboxes that were released. Apparently, each Silver Tempest booster pack in these lunchboxes are guaranteed to have an Ultra Rare in their pack. When I saw these videos, it absolutely blew my mind and I had to test it out for myself! So in today's video, we open up an entire case of the newest Pokemon Chests to see if this is actually true, and try to uncover answers to so many questions that this leads to!

Bought four of these to open with students, use the stickers as a reward and put the cards in the class shop. All 8 ST packs had hits, so the kids are saving to get them. Perfect motivation to start the school year! See you all at the charity stream!

This is craziness. I almost bought one of these off the shelf but thought, nah I'll hold off for now. Then I come home to see these videos... back to the store I go!
The god boxes are only regional. Meaning that it was only released to specific cities and towns around the world. Everything about them on the outside looks exactly identical to the regular ones.

@@maurice2014 First, Pokemon has done things like this before, I was 11 years old the first time they did it for the Ivy Pikachu in Jungle set (i.e. it has to be a 1st Edition from Jungle set, and second it has to have the specific words on the packaging in order to get the Ivy Pikachu); however, sometimes Pokemon keeps quite about it in hopes that things like our example in the video gets evenly distributed because if people find out about it, then only certain people will be able to get large quantities of it, and that's a bad thing. Second, PokeRev in his video lets everyone know that only certain distributors seem to have it and nothing but it, only at certain and very select locations across the states. Third, the person who discovered it has clearly stated that they have tried from more than one location and also two or more separate retailers, and found it's not everywhere but again in certain and very select locations; which means it was purposefully seeded. The evidence keeps stacking up that it was purposefully done the further you look into it and Pokemon simply kept quite about it for such reasons as listed above. And finally, if you can get your hands on a guaranteed god box don't open it no matter how tempting it is to do so, a god box would be worth more than any card you could pull from the set regardless of what the pull/pulls would be inside due to the fact it's a box with guaranteed hits and wouldn't matter what those hits are; and also, you wouldn't flood the market with specific hits, causing a crash otherwise because people go into a craze suddenly thinking "Oooo! I can get that one card hopefully" or again "Ooooo! I can have so many copies and sell a bunch of them" and again that's a bad thing. This is not something that's fun to open, for one reason or another, not excluding the thought of a quick buck. This is something that makes you cry at night once you realize you should have never opened it for many, and multiple reasons, including the fact it would be worth more sealed than any card you could pull from it (i.e. it would be your one chance to have something that's worth more than a Mint Charizard from Base Set 1st Edition, and I mean a lot more, and you would let that opportunity just slip away by opening it; people sometimes just don't use their head when an opportunity like this comes by, they usually instead go into a craze, and it must be pointed out that the card/s inside the box are not the pull you wanted but instead the god box itself unopened is the pull you always wanted because the price tag you could put on it years down the line would be astronomically higher than anything else the TCG has ever seen before).
This definitely makes me want to pay more attention to specific product pull rates.

It's crazy that only specific chests will have double hits in Silver Tempest. Makes one wonder how it got from production to the sealed product. Thanks for bringing this to light and informing the community.

Love the Alt Art Uknown. One of my favorite cards from Silver tempest. Insane find, nice seeing this information being shared so quickly and people giving away hits.
This video convinced me to go buy a couple of these chests from my LGS! Unfortunately in my area of the US the silver tempest packs I got were not loaded with hits but it’s cool that things like this can happen.

That's absolutely crazy.. I wonder if this will have an effect on Silver Tempest card prices in the future.
It won't effect anything if people actually know how to handle the situation and don't make the same mistake as they did in the past with this craze. The god boxes are only regional drops. Meaning they were only released to specific cities and towns around the world. Quite literally everything about them from the outside to the packaging on the inside looks identical to the regular ones. Pokemon has done this before in the early days. People then stumble upon it and it flies off the shelves to never be printed again. Making it one of the most valuable things you can get your hands on especially as a sealed product. And people often make the very common mistake with drops like this by opening them. The truth is, you don't want to open them for as tempting as it is to get that one card you're looking for (i.e. this is exactly the kind of product you want to keep out of the hands of PokeTubers because they will and are going to crack them open and we don't want them to open the god boxes), because this will be just like the Bubblegum sealed product of the past that has the special card in them from way before I was born when my mother was a child in the 1950's. Just like last time that Pokemon did this, which the closest place to me in the early days where someone stumbled upon something similar, was in NYC. It couldn't be found anywhere else in the world. People traveled across the world to NYC just to get their hands on it. But by the time they had arrived, it was all gone never printed again, and all of the product was opened by everyone that bought it to get their hands on it making it essentially worthless. Take it from someone who has lived through it once before, don't open the product no matter how tempting, and keep it sealed for eternity passing it from one generation to the next with the specific instructions when passed on to the next generation to never open it because if it is opened then it becomes worthless. It may be a god box and may have everything in it that you're looking for, but that god box is only worth more than you can shake a stick at, if it remains sealed because it's already a guaranteed god box.
P.S. Remember when or have you heard of those secret rare Pikachu cards you could pull in Jungle set? Yeah, it's not a lie and nor is it a fable. It actually happened and nor did it happen in Japan. It happened in NYC. This is what the Pokemon company does every so often to offset the fact that the English versions of sets usually cut specific cards to either turn them into promos or cut them from the set entirely or the English branch of the company makes it harder to pull specific cards than they would be in the Japanese version. It devalues the set so much when they cut a card or two from the set to either turn them into a promo or get cut entirely as compared to the Japanese versions of a set. They were god packs with a guaranteed rare Pikachu inside set to the original amount that should have actually been out in the wild at that time that was cut from the original 1st Edition Jungle English version of the set that actually said on the package "Get a secret rare Pikachu inside". That's how rare the card is. But everyone opened them that got their hands on them, or at least, most people opened them. It was limited to one pack per customer. There are people out there with those Pikachu cards. But none have surfaced yet due to the fact of how rare they are locked away in people's bank vaults and due to this not a single photo of them has ever been taken. Only the people who own them know what they look like. And it's very unlikely that anyone who actually owns one would ever admit to owning it. And it's even more unlikely they would ever sell the card making it even more valuable in shear net value over time. The only evidence of their existence at this point is that photo of the poster that was taken during that time. So, from here on out since that one time deal in NYC, stop hunting for the rare Pikachu in Jungle set because it will never be pulled from a regular pack nor from a booster box of the set no matter how many packs you crack. And therefore this means considering the sudden turn of events of the day we now live in, that if you do get your hands on even just one god box you never want to open it and I don't care how good the odds are of getting your hands on those few last cards you're looking for are, because once you open that god box the damage has already been done. A god box doesn't care about what the market value of the cards are that could possibly be pulled from it. The only thing that a god box is concerned with, is the fact that it's a god box and you are guaranteed to get some major hits from it regardless of what those hits are, and therefore makes a god box worth double or more than any set's entire collection combined value over time. Which means they are the most valuable boxes on the market as we speak and people honestly don't have a clue of what they have sitting in their hands and don't realize they should have never opened them. This is not something that's fun to open. This is something that makes you cry at night because you opened it wishing that you would have never opened it. Because it was your one chance to become a millionaire 25 to 30 years or more down the line, and you let that one opportunity slip away, out of thinking it was fun to open or the greed you had to get that one last card you needed to complete a set or the curiosity got the better of you or whatever the case may including but not limited to a quick buck because that quick buck could have been a lot more later down the road and all your worries would be over from that moment onward setting up your future descendants with fat bank accounts.
So crazy this being confirmed in multiple poketubers videos. Going to have to buy a collectors chest and test for myself. Thanks for the great content Danny!
I’ve seen a few videos with these only getting holo’s and regular rares so there def had to be some sort of batching error that got caught or something 🤷♂️.

My personal experience shows batching is entirely real. No guarantee whatsoever but that’s what I’ve seen
CTR pulling 3 Lugia V alt arts literally made my day, especially seeing how happy he was about it

This is so crazy. I live rural/high traffic area aka local card spots get stripped fast. I didn't bother checking for the boxes by the time I heard of this but this will be such an interesting long term investment. So hype!

I got 11 of these at my local Target on the same day with my wife. 5 of them had guaranteed ultras in the ST packs and 6 of them did not have guaranteed hits. I thought they would all have them since they were right next to each other after a fresh restock. Still an awesome find, we got an alt art regidrago!
