I tend to go by the Three Strike Rule and that first tantrum would've gotten her, her First and only warning. After that, I'd quietly keep track and when she hit Strike Three, I'd kick her to the curb, as she's now OUT!
OP was right & it wasn't too much. When the narcissist wakes up & reveals their pettiness & greed, it's time to get petty back & leave! Lily got what she deserved, a bridezilla's dream wedding but no groom!!
Personally I feel that OP wasn’t petty enough. Instead of a note it should have been a video message to be played in front of everyone. I wish OP and his family the best in life cause Lilly and her family are gold diggers who were looking for an ATM.
There is no such thing as petty enough. Being the "bigger person" is something that is said by people who would not put up with a FRACTION of what they demand you put up with.
Oh man that would have pounded the final nail. Lol could you imagine walking down the isle with daddy cakes and the video starts. Everybody would be looking around for a WTF? moment. Then glued to the screen. All the while daddy is contemplating who to sue! Lmao
LMAO when you put money and showing off for other people over the person you are supposed to love then yeah LILY got exactly what she deserved and so did her family. Even at the end the only thing she was concerned about was HER Image.
Always consider the family you are marrying into. Do not let love/s*x blind you to practical issues that effect the rest of your life. There ought to be a questionnaire couples complete to see where strengths & weaknesses are clear.
That's why premarital counseling after an engagement and before deep in wedding planning. Also, two types of this counseling are best if the couple is religious 1) Behavioural Counseling 2) Religious Counseling.
They got what they deserved. Sometimes, being petty is what's needed for revenge, especially when your being mocked and threatened with legal action, which could never happen in the first place. Wishing OP a good life.
Lilly didnt want a husband.... She just wanted a weddimg that came with a ATM. And no.... John didnt go too far. If anything, he made dure lilly had the big wedding she wanted.
in all almost yes, lilly and her family were a nightmare, that's been a glutton for karma for the longest time. I think what O.p did was a big reality check for both the Bridezilla and her family, unfortunately after hearing the bridezilla prospective it sounds like she still doesn't think she's in the wrong but maybe in time she'll realize that she better treat her next man right and avoid a fight because if she and her family are mean to him like the last, when she walks down that isle again his face will be unseen.
Thank you for the new story Mr. Reddito! You and everyone else involved in making these videos keep up the great work! I hope everyone is having a great day/afternoon/night! Peace ☮️, hugs 🤗 and love 😘!
This is possibly the BEST ending I have ever heard! Poor little Princess and her family got their just deserts. I loved that the fact that the final update from her.
No. Op deserve to get revenge and that was the most petty yet sweet revenge and his id!@t fiance deserves it. It's absolutely epic. All of bride's family them deserve it.
I've managed to avoid such entitled people in my 84 years except I faintly recall such a person from young years but it wasn't someone I knew well, just someone I knew about, not someone I'd talk with.
@@nickel2874 We all age at a slightly different rate. My former next door neighbor made it to 97 years old. I used to ask him if he was going to help me wash my motor home. He would just laugh at me.
My sister in law Janet was raised in a well to do family but she is not materialistic at all. She is an absolute sweetheart. I like her a lot. She was so good to my baby sister when she and my brother were dating. She let Lenny take her on dates. Pam was needing that. Lenny took on the father role for us and Pam needed it.
I agree with you Mr. Reddito. When you start threatening people to force them to spend way too much money, it is extortion and you should expect retaliation. Op lost all the money he had already invested in the wedding so it was only fair. Keep in mind he was being blackmailed to put up his life savings or risk legal problems. This is his life! After the wedding he would be tied to this woman who would continue to milk him dry with his family continuing to blackmail him for any little thing. He would have become a slave and lackey to them all. This was their plan for him. Great Escape, OP. I think she and her family got off lightly. Too bad there was not a bankruptcy or jail time in store for them.
Pressure reveals the real self. Or worse, lack of pressure, security does. She either couldn't keep her facade up or she just gave it up because she HAD him.
Dang, beginning of the story I thought OP was the biggest simp but then he pulls a boss move on his former bridezilla, she deserved it, so did her family ✌️
John did try to do the right thing, but lily's father just hearled empty baseless threats at John and his family so John was left with no other choice than to go the "petty" route to get away from lily and her family while keeping his own family safe from what he knew were empty threats that had actually scared his family. In my opinion John did the right thing and gave lily and her family exactly what they deserved, made them a laughing stock for at least a few weeks.
Believable story until the end, beginning with his going to their house to say the wedding was back on. Since the bride's family was so "uppity", they should have been the ones to put the big bucks.
I find it a bit strange that Lilly ended the story///so she was aware of OP's post? And she didn't get angry reading it (before the wedding) ?> And couldn't the post be used as proof that he set het up? (Let's hope not)
I'm sorry but it's hard for me to feel sorry for people like OP. She's shown multiple times that her and her family don't respect you, she's a spoiled brat,is insulting to everybody, insulted your family, etc. and he still tried to make it work with her
Hubby and I will celebrate our 40th anniversary this year. Our wedding was held in a tiny chapel that only held 50 people. The reception was at my parents house. Mom said she paid $2,500 for everything. Wedding, food, reception, photographer. I was given a photo album filled with beautiful photos of a special day. I pull out the album when I’m searching for something else. I haven’t looked at the photos for years. The wedding is just one day. It is the marriage that matters. So the past 40 years have been all about us. Raising a family, working, being there together. Sharing life’s Ups and downs. I did have a lovely wedding, and never looked back. I think it is silly to spend the amount equal to a down payment for a house for a wedding ceremony. All the bridezilla drama and unreasonable demands only serve to spend money and cause unnecessary stress.
John didn't go far enough. He should have waited until it was time to say I do and saying I don't and walked out . I'm glad Lily's dad had to spend money. Hope the wedding cake tasted yummy 😅
One thing is very strange. I personally have seen little girls like this. Trying to scam property out of potential suitors. Sounds like a rich family who uses other people's wealth to better themselves. Disgusting.
Good on original poster, his ex fiancé’s actions were disgusting and even in her follow-up post, it was all about her and she didn’t deny her and her family’s actions, good on OP
Honestly that's karma, they would have done that to someone else other then op if given the chance, so naw hopefully the entitled idiot fiance and her family actually, learn not to treat people poorly like this.
I had my Great-Grandmother's Grandmother and Mother's Wedding Ring 💍 mounted in a beautiful white-gold arrangement plus her birthstone and a larger diamond 💎 in the middle.. I took her on a vacation by the beach where my brother (concert violinist 🎻) would show up and play for us.. When he finished, I presented the ring 💍 and proposed. We had just finished a beautiful dinner and the sun was setting over the pacific. It was a STORYBOOK proposal. She said, "Why did you put all that on my wedding ring?" 💔 I said, "It's your birthstone and my mother and grandma and great-grandmother's diamonds. The big one in the middle is yours." The way she looked at it, I was afraid to put it on her finger because I thought she would throw it in the ocean.. My brother looked at her, looked at me, stopped recording and put his violin away. When he stood up to walk away, he said, "Now you know. I think you dodged a bullet.. (as he turned to walk away) You coming?" Putting the ring in my pocket, I said, "Yeah." If the story is true (per the disclaimer, it may not be true), then Lily and her family got what they so "richly" deserved (pun intended). I agree with you mr redditor Lily and her family were a nightmare. I'm just glad that John was able to make it far away from her. From her abusing the service workers to her turning her nose up and refusing the family necklace, she was beyond a bridezilla. She never wanted a loving partner she just wanted someone that she could take for everything she could get. Good luck to her in the future because she'll find that rich man that is barely able to tolerate her, and then he will have several women on the side that have a much better personality than she does and make less demands.
How a person treats others, especially those in customer facing roles, says a huge amount about that person. Oh,no...He was`nt going too far..Hell,he took it easy on them....HELL,he could`ve made them SUFFER WORSE!!! So,to the ones that persecuted OP...LET`S SEE What YOU would`ve done!
Lilly's father caused the extreme reaction by threatening OP's whole family. Otherwise it would simply be the wedding was called off. On the other hand, how can you grow up next door to someone and not see who they really are?
Young people always want big houses, while looking for my forever home I wanted more land than house. My house has 2.5 bathrooms and let me tell you, that is plenty. You have to buy tons of toilet paper and it takes forever to clean them all. I couldn't imagine spending so much money on a one hour wedding. I would rather go to the court house and have a big part afterwards. I would rather spend my money on side by side or an R.V. to drive to some cool vacation spots and take my dogs with me.
Lily got exactly what she wanted, and deserved, the wedding of her dreams. Great job OP.
When Lilly had her first tantrum. I would’ve told her it’s over. Because when they show who they are the FIRST time, BELIEVE them.
True .. but being in something is hard to get your of
Years of love are hard to destroy by ONE event!
I tend to go by the Three Strike Rule and that first tantrum would've gotten her, her First and only warning. After that, I'd quietly keep track and when she hit Strike Three, I'd kick her to the curb, as she's now OUT!
I agree
So Lily got exactly what she wanted. The dream wedding without the husband. When people become their real selves, RUN!!
Classic!!! Well said! 👏
Lillys last sentence says it all: "The bride that was left at the altar, in the peoples eyes" not "The woman who lost the man she loved...."
OP was right & it wasn't too much. When the narcissist wakes up & reveals their pettiness & greed, it's time to get petty back & leave! Lily got what she deserved, a bridezilla's dream wedding but no groom!!
I despised Lily!
No, Lily and her family got what she deserved. Th OP did NOT go to far.
OP’s level of pettiness… I’m impressed.
Personally I feel that OP wasn’t petty enough. Instead of a note it should have been a video message to be played in front of everyone. I wish OP and his family the best in life cause Lilly and her family are gold diggers who were looking for an ATM.

Sometimes petty is the way to go... entitled people better start growing thicker skin cuz petty is just git'in started.
Gold digger
And that is how Karma works. And no OP did not go too far.
You go John good for you .
He proposed to Lily at 18 then he proposed to her at 22? Which is it?
I reckon what was meant was that they became a couple on her 18th birthday and engaged on her 22nd.
I thought he said they got engaged at 18 and would marry her at 22.

Lol did you actually censor idiot?
For what Breach of Contract ? If you have any proof that she was unreasonable then you are golden !
😂😅🤣😭🙆🏽♀️🙆🏾 perfect 💯‼️❗based on the way that man talked down to them especially threatening his parents..... great job 👍🏽
thank you Mr. Reddito. I agree with you completely and I am so happy your contributed that thought!

LOVE LOVE LOVE ❤❤❤THAT ENDING❤❤❤

They all deserved what they got Lily and her family too. She lost a good thing by acting a fool.
John is an absolute legend.
He seems like such a charming guy! Wow, that’s so thoughtful to buy her a house as a gift. I’m shocked how disrespectful lily was smh.
I LOVED THE OP FOR LEAVING HER AT THE ALTAR AND LEFT DAD WITH THE BILL
WELL DESERVED, THAT SHOWS HOW EMPTY THREATS CAN BACKFIRE
JUSTICE!!
Dang, beginning of the story I thought OP was the biggest simp but then he pulls a boss move on his former bridezilla, she deserved it, so did her family ✌️
Shouldn't the father of the bride be paying for the wedding anyway? Better off not marrying her though, with her huge expectations.
I thought it was the bride's family's responsibility to pay for the wedding!
I always thought that it was the father of the bride who was to pay for the wedding. I feel that the OP had every right to do what he did.

You have a good family. Cherish them.
OP finally got a backbone and dumped that witch. He was slow, allowing her family to treat him and his family like trash.
John (OP) is my new hero. Put them screws to the witch of a person Lily
Love the ending. Lily nor her family cared to admit that she was out of control.
Thank you for all the wonderful work you do Mr.Reddito. I think OP did the perfect thing to do in this horrible situation. See you tomorrow.
OP needs to run far and fast!!! Sell the lake house and pay sister back.
One thing is very strange. I personally have seen little girls like this. Trying to scam property out of potential suitors. Sounds like a rich family who uses other people's wealth to better themselves. Disgusting.

I love the petty… I’m all for it! She crushed that man and spent so much of his money… they got what they deserve!
He should have cut his losses and dumped her once she started turning into a Bridezilla.
Only 1 minute in and this bridezilla got me rolling my eyes 😂
Her energy tells you when she eventually cheats on you she is going to have this energy why won't you accept her open relationship😂
Don't the parents of the bride pay for the wedding in most cultures? And one fight isn't going to put anyone behind bars.
I think that whole family got what they deserved
Im so done. Mark alone would have made me leave. That problem would have been on going 😮
Well played OP, Well played.
Perhaps Lily's humiliation will improve her disposition.
I agree with OP, and after all those threats they made, while trying to force him to buy her a mansion, and when he tried to call it off, they threaten him again, like they were going to force him into marrying her. YES they got exactly what they deserved. I only wish I could have been there to see her face when she read his DEAR JOHN letter. If anyone deserved that , she did.
A promise of love is not a contract.😂😂😂
I agree with you mr redditor Lily and her family were a nightmare. She got what she deserved because they did that to him and his family that's what you call straight up Revenge How can they laugh at him he worked so hard to get what he can afford, and they just straight up laugh at him. They never cared about him. The only cared about his money.
OP just get out before your fiancé’s family destroys yours!!!!!
If my love gave ME a lake front house/cabin/place, even of its small, I'd be beyond happy. And my love would get a LOT of attention😉
Parents of the bride pay for the f^^%ing wedding.
John is awesome lol
Perfect results for the bride 👰♀
smooth move op!! many men should do this!
I'd have dumped her after the cake incident, as I despise people who bully workers. Besides I wouldn't marry such a childish person.
Good for OP.
Lilly and her family finally got their KARMA
No he didn’t go to far😊
That witch got exactly what she deserved. And now the people of the town she lived in knew the true person she was

I think John was smart, if he hadn't done it that way they might have taken him to court
Should not have been so greedy
58👍's up MR RA thank you for sharing 😊
Talk about manipulative. Lily is a player. Also isn't the brides family supposed to pay for the wedding stuff?
