@@mxdmxd111that swing 5 pass was the nail in the coffin that decided for me that I was making the video. I was lost beyond all reason. And it’s tough for the mixed reviews. Joe also almost looked more nervous for the interview than playing the match.
35:14 the point u make about the play being punished is slightly wrong, on 7 don the BY can put 2don on leader pitch rocket put into life and play 2 drop = 4 don, potentially the BY could also play a sabo blocker and attach 1 don to swing for 12k. at the burgess if it went sideways.
@@Opinionated-By54nder he can’t do both, heal and punish via attack through rocket. It’s best 9 I believe, on swing Luffy and he had counter in hand. And both life just get removed again.
@@tcgdiscussions2413 maybe I am wrong but let me describe it, 2 Don on leader, plus 2 Don to summon rocket and ko the vasco, plus 2 for Sabo is the basic 6cost combo plus open Don. so on 7 Don he can be on 9k leader plus Sabo blocker, leader can swing 11k or 12k, and pump luffy can be on 8 or 9k to swing on the burgess. Correct me if I am wrong
@@Opinionated-By54nderso possibly. Michael would have to counter 3 cards and go another Negative 2 in hand. Playing the baby and discarding for a net -5 and all aggro goes at burgess from leader, Luffy swings at life. Michael would be at 7k with one life, 1 5c Luffy no blocker. Joes next turn would be easy. Shigan into burgess, discard pass. Michael has No board, is -5 and has no way to move the last life for another double heal while bb would have 2 life left going into Teach behind a 9k burgess. It’s still losing and it would be what I said, not really a good way to punish. But I’d concede that it’s a different line based on a closer look at the hand. AND puts Michael on the spot with correctly countering.

This is the first time I watched western tournament (im asian) and I just thought maybe the western side has a different take on the gameplay, but i guess i was wrong.
@tcgdiscussions2413 Definitely a throw on the side of BB. There's a lot of turn he could have just won but instead giving the opponent the opportunity to win.
@@justintarantino395 I misread this statement before responding. Edit. Cross did every pitch correct in game 1. The card he pitched was going to life. Additionally, I explain below the misplay he had with the final heal post the life trigger to KO a card.
Thoughts on Enel into Blackbeard? I personally think Enel is at least 50/50 into it because of cards like Raigo, plus the ability to just starve out BB until they run out resources.
Really hard right now if BB starves you and plays Burgess over and over. They play teach, you raigo (meaning you can’t heal) teacher turn off burgess, burgess swings, into leader effect. Enel will get cooked if there’s another teach :)
Idk why u think playing laboon in this matchup is any good... but it isnt at all, if he plays it on the 4don turn by luffy just kills it easily so u waste ur resorces on nothing, even if u managed to let it survive, he plays sabo every turn and u do nothing with it, the only play u can posibly do is using the 4cost black hole event to deal with sabo's effect... and even doing so isnt actually good because he can always reuse them no matter how many times u kill him, its just useless to play around killing the board against by luffy, he did the best choice against his opponent, he just flood the board with a lot of burguess characters that cannot be killed by anything the opponent have and its a threat that will make him play deffensive.
If you don't attack Luffy in the early game he would not have 2 lives or less. So his Luffy caracter can't kill laboon and if you activate your leader effect sabo is not a menace.
Leader pitch turns off Sabo and there is no punish to the play. If BB doesn’t attack, Sabo cannot use his draw or protection. The board is vulnerable and both die Ivankov and Sabo die. Additionally at 3 life, the laboon can’t be popped by Rocket Luffy meaning there is absolutely no way to punish the Laboon on turn 2. It’s because Joe attacked that the play no longer worked and there was a weakness. Liberation ivankov play doc q at 6 and you wipe the board and force BY to clear because the next 5 cost will die.

He had 2 12k blockers and a 10k Burgess but won't attack? What?
@@mxdmxd111that swing 5 pass was the nail in the coffin that decided for me that I was making the video. I was lost beyond all reason. And it’s tough for the mixed reviews. Joe also almost looked more nervous for the interview than playing the match.
I am pretty new to the game but even I thought (watching live) these games was sus…
Am I missing something or is the Vasco shot not able to block?
@tcgdiscussions2413 if it gets ko by rocket luffy, there's no block
I don’t mind the discussion but can we include mental wear down over the tournament as a variable? Since I feel we are looking at the game with fresh eyes and master knowledge And the question did the Bb player have the mental stamina sometimes I play like that cuz I’m mentally worn out and ADHD wins the war of attrition
As a enel player I felt those words 😂 @5:06
😂😂😂
This is the first time I watched western tournament (im asian) and I just thought maybe the western side has a different take on the gameplay, but i guess i was wrong.
@@franksinatra624 tell me your thoughts on the match?
@tcgdiscussions2413 Definitely a throw on the side of BB. There's a lot of turn he could have just won but instead giving the opponent the opportunity to win.
cross forgot to discard to you leader effect game one the first time he healed
@@justintarantino395 I misread this statement before responding. Edit. Cross did every pitch correct in game 1. The card he pitched was going to life. Additionally, I explain below the misplay he had with the final heal post the life trigger to KO a card.
@tcgdiscussions2413 you're both wrong about this.. the sabo he put in life on his first heal in game 1 was from hand, so that counts as a discard
@@yaboyvickk5635I miss read his above statement. Cross could have healed the Sabo after it gets Shigan hit out if life.
as a blackbeard player, this deftly a rigged game
Clearly gave to BY coz doffy was the next match up. Period Haha
@@CardSlingerHPH it was all Luccis. :) All along!
Post some dragon ball masters stuff
@@irvingutierrez2112 I retired from playing that game. :)
Maybe the dude is just bad
Video is over a hour long let me sum it up for you in 5 seconds *he wants to do tricks on it glazing hardcore*
Id say BS
Even that you state he didn’t throw you suggest that a lot through the video.
I disagree on you and I think this dude just got nervous to a point he wasn’t functioning properly.
But me commenting on what happened is as important as you talking about him on the video…
By the end of the day we are just 2 guys that never went top 16 Nats talking about someone who did. So maybe we should focus more on our game instead.🤷🏽♂️
@@vinisouza why can’t you do both?
