I remember when I watched the pilot in 2005. Been watching every episode, buying the seasons on DVD as soon as they were released. It's hard to believe it's coming to an end. Sam & Dean have been a part of my life for almost 15 years.

Yeah, putting Dean and Castiel together would make no sense and would add one more plot hole to any number of the ones that are already there.
Supernatural by far has the most dedicated fanbase around. So all the people saying it should end, have fun with the backlash!! This show is and always will be amazing

Most likely. Stories have to be ready long before they start preping and filming and also, Jensen mentioned during Vegascon that ending the show has been discussed for a few years now. How 100% they were by SDCC, but pretty sure they knew. Production takes a long time to prepare.

Sooo I just kinda finished the whole 13 seasons in three weeks. (I'm sure some of you have seen it in less time, but that's not the point) I've seen Dean with the glowing Michael eyes, the screen goes black and now I'm just sitting here not knowing what to do next. So I thought hey since I'm so late to this show, there has to be a season 14 trailer. Yeah needless to say I'm disappointed. I need emotional support guys :'(

I was at the panel at San Diego Comic Con when they showed this...it was the first panel of the day in Hall H. The next panel was for Riverdale, so there were also a lot of Riverdale fans that were inside the auditorium, waiting for theirs to start (lots of teen girls wearing Riverdale cheerleader outfits with their parents). We all watched this trailer together. I always wonder what they thought about it, I thought it was such a good video as a small taste, in case no one had ever seen Supernatural before.

That doesn't work because the original timeline was defeated. And now Lucifer's also dead. And in the original timeline Dean never said yes.

@@jedielmuniz8227 That's true, but what I mean is that in the 2014 timeline, Dean died because he refused to consent. The timeline then changed so that Dean didn't have to die because Lucifer and Michael were sealed.
And as the show progressed beyond season 5, they change the timeline to the point where they introduce an alternate Michael who Dean does say yes to, but he still never consents to the original Michael who made the statement about Destiny. (As we know, "destiny" was actually the precise machinations of the angels more than anything as God was long gone by then. Though one can argue that Chuck's motives was to usurp the angels and give Sam and Dean etc as much free will as possible, in that sense maybe they weren't free, but they weren't subject to the will of the angels to consent no matter what.)
If you push that further, the angels in both worlds were much too depleted and disorganized to keep "destiny" going, and Chuck has zero interest in "destiny" any more. That leaves only Death's scene with Dean in season 13 to support the idea of destiny, but given how She spoke about the topic and given how we've seen the timeline change (Lucifer had a similar statement to Michael, for example that "it'll all come back to this"; however, he's dead now. So it can't all go back to that. Both he and Michael are debunked by Lucifer's death if not anything else) destiny if it exists isn't something that's actually concrete.
If, however, another alternate Lucifer pops up, this position would be much harder to support, but as of now, it's much more likely that destiny in the sense that Michael and Lucifer meant it isn't real.
RIP Lemmy... The song "God was never on your side" just suited like a "glove" to the show.

My girlfriend got me into Supernatural a little after we started dating in November of 2017. Slowly but surely, I've watched every season that's on Netflix, bought some merch including t-shirts and pop figures, just finished season 13 and it quickly became one of my all time favorite shows. I honestly thought season 14 started already but I guess it starts in October! I am very excited!

Remember S5, E4? The End. I had a thought, that what if the end of S15 was a callback to that. We know that (spoiler alert) Lucifer is alive in S14. So, what if, that's how it ends? In The End, it's the apocalypse, and it's these monsters all around. Well, at the end of S14, all the monsters come back. Lucifer is alive, and looking for a vessel. in The End, Lucifer says "no matter what changes you make, or what you alter, it will always end, right here" (this might not be the exact quote word for word, but pretty much). Not to mention, the show was originally going to end in S5. I just think it would be a good ending. I'm fine with any ending, but I just think it would wrap everything up so perfectly, and make a HUGE callback, making Lucifer right all along. I mean ik Jack is like the most powerful being, but I always felt like it would end with Lucifer, bc he's always been a huge deal. He's always either been one step ahead, or one step behind. So, if Michael is brought back, and we know Lucifer is back, what if they battle, like in S5. And Lucifer wins, the world is now his, and he was right all along.

I am a super big fan of the show. Only ONE season i wasn't too fond of, and that was the introduction of the brits. I like that Mary came back, etc... but the British Men of Letters, well, they could have stayed there (in Britain) . I am not insulting Catch, as he is turning out to be helpful to the team, but wish they would have introduced him in some other fashion. This show ROCKS. I have watched it from season 1 to whatever the latest is, around 5 times, and still love it EVERY TIME. I only write with good intentions, and do not mean to put down any one else in any negative way/shape/or form, sorry if my comment (opinions) offend any one. Cheers.
Yeah, season 12 was actually a chore to get through. BMOL, Lucy becoming the president, and the nephilim thing. Not only contradicting already established canon, but they contradicted their own story in the same season. ("Lily Sunder has some regrets", Why would the garrison think her kid was a nephilim if the mom's die in childbirth?) It was horribly written all around.
True fans know when things have gotten off track, and will hold the writers and producers accountable. Otherwise, they end up ruining the show. Like they did with Once Upon a Time. Great show for the first 3 seasons. After that, it got bad, ending in a literal abomination with the last season that played out more like crappy fan fiction.
No one is forcing y'all too watch the show so you must still find it interesting if y'all are watching!! If not turn the channel!! I for one am " A TRUE RIDE TILL I DIE HARDCORE FAN" BOOM!!!!!!
I am a bit surprised with how much these replies didn't like Season 12. I, personally, think it was amazing! Especially the nephilim part. I don't think any of the seasons of the show were bad; they were all amazing! And for those who thought the show should end after Season 5: if they had ended the show in Season 5, then a lot of the fans, including myself, would've probably never even hear of it, since they started after Season 5. I agree with the original comment, in that this show is amazing and just because Eric stopped after Season 5 doesn't decrease the show's quality; since they still had some amazing writers! Sure, it changed slightly, but that doesn't mean it's bad! I want this show to continue on and I dread the day that it ends. If you do not like the show after Season 5, that's fine, you can just watch Seasons 1-5 if you feel so strongly about it. No one's forcing you to watch anything after.
My only problem with the show is they have turned all the antagonists in the show into jokes. All the monsters, and villians past season five have been nerfed into useless props. The leviathans could have been better, but at least they didn't turn them into canon fodder before they were put off screen. With the exception of one episode "Red Meat" were the werewolves just about ended Sam, and Dean both. That episode had good writing.
Past season five, and especially the start of season nine all the monster of the week episodes have just been mediocre because they changed all the monsters into pushovers. Not to mention one or the other main character starting the end of the world scenario over, and over since season five. Love the show, but the dragon ball z style of villain progression, and endless world ending threats is unnecessary.
Show still going on. I wasn't even old enough to drink when season 1 started and now I'm 33. Imagine if buffy had lasted 14 seasons. I think the same writers who wrote buffy write supernatural

Justinhulk Season 4 definitely was the best, that was the show's highest peak, in terms of quality, but I don't think season 6 was the worst, though, season 9 was torture for me.

Took 3 months, but just finished rewatching it for the 6th time, now I have no clue what to do with my life while I wait for Season 14, maybe just rewatch 1 of my favorite episodes every day till its back on, only finished like 5 minutes ago already going through Supernatural withdrawals. You are entitled to your opinion, but I strongly disagree. I believe that SPN has been going down hill steadily since the end of season 5. And your assertion that it is better than any anime is objectively wrong, for the simple reason that you can no possible be the judge of all anime. You can not state that you have watched all anime, so you can not state that something is better than any anime. From your comment i can also guess that probably don't watch many anime, so i can promise you that there are plenty of amazing anime out there.
