Here's what I like about the videos y'all share: they do not contain every personal detail of your lives. Some vloggers have to share every waking moment of their lives and I mean every moment. Y'all take us on fun adventures and share some good recipes. And y'all know when to stop filming when y'all are with family and friends. Other vloggers won't stop even when you tell them you don't want to be filmed
I watch all your vlogs, and so does my husband and my two girls, who are 11 and 9. We enjoy the travel ones, but the everyday life ones are just as brill.
I’ve watched you for 5 years now (what!! 😨) and to see how you/your vlogs have changed has been such a journey. Like you say you move, you evolve as people, priorities change etc. but I honestly think that the majority of regular viewers watch you both for you rather than what you’re doing - yeah they might prefer some vlogs to others but ultimately it’s your personalities that bring it all to life. I can 100% say that your community changed my life 10 fold - made friends for life and I’m so so grateful for that. I also think your community has remained personable enough for everyone to feel involved; you’ve both always remained down to earth and that’s why you’ve got so many people who’ve watched for a long time. I have I to let you know that in one of those person that LOVE to just watch your day to day life vlogs. I have been watching your videos for 5 years, since before covid and at this point your videos have become a part of my life. I don't find it boron repetitive to watch you make your tea, or Chan the lodge. I love watching you struggle to pack your bags lol, or shop for groceries. The travel Vlogs are fantastic and I love to see the new places that you go to and experience them with you, but I would really miss your regular day to day vlogs.
I get mine in Waitrose, but Tesco sell it too.😊. Got hooked when we did a road trip through France about 20 years ago 😂. It’s more expensive but so nice!😊

Found it a bit sad when you was talking about the cons, but totally appreciate it. Always love watching you do the mundane day to day life but can totally understand your point of view on it. I have thought for a while you may do less overall vlogs like 1 a week or something as the time you put towards it must be astronomical. Hi Leigh, I've just finished treatment for tennis elbow. 3 months of exercises, which did nothing. Then 6 sessions of shock wave therapy at Clifton Park Hospital in York, completely cured so highly recommend 👌 xx

I've just been off work for 3 months with tennis elbow. It became so painful & I couldn't use my arm at all. I was having physio twice weekly with band exercises & massage / acupuncture. I had to exercise my arm daily, I also have to wear a brace / grip when typing. It takes forever to heal but thankfully all good. You will need to exercise your arm.

You’ve still got a lot of interesting places to cover. I did make a mistake a couple of days ago for you to go to a place that I later realised wouldn’t be safe for you, but how about Japan for example? Ferry, train and city trips there for example. Plus it’s cheap right now due to low cost yen.

School puddings were the best in the world. Chocolate sponge and chocolate sauce was my absolute favourite, closely followed by dead fly pie (current slice) with custard and toenail pie (cornflakes and jam in a pastry case) with custard. Puddings were my favourite part of my school dinners, but I can’t have many of them now as I’m dairy intolerant.

Vlogging is not easy at all! I have a RUclips channel where I document my trips with my family, and it takes me so long to edit the videos, add music, and add effects…. I have “voice dysphoria” (I don’t like the way my voice sounds on video), so I imagine that creating content and talking informatively to the viewer must be extremely challenging.
So you said in this video when your not vlogging you are working? What are your jobs? You are constantly on holidays for long durations so when are you working?, You have an apartment, Lodge, Campervan and Car, so Seems like you guys have a great life and i enjoy your videos, but does the revenue from youtube and patreon pay for all that?
Gone are the days where RUclips pays $$$ for content creators RUclips is a hobby that pays a wage patreon covers some of the costs to make the videos, but we have other pots on the stove.

I think possibly one of the reasons we like watching your day-to-day life in the lodge is because you’re called The Lodge Guys! But I can understand how it might be less interesting for you because it is your daily life, and I certainly know that I think my daily life would be pretty boring to watch. I personally like the variety of having day-to-day life in the lodge and when you visit other places in the UK and when you take trips like the ones to Florida or the van trips. And if one of those things doesn’t appeal to a viewer of the channel, the other things very well might. So it’s a bit like the weather - you stick around long enough, and eventually it’s going to change to something else.

I had tennis elbow a few years ago from mouse work on PC at work. Switching to an ergonomic mouse really helped, not had it again since.
