I was going to watch a little bit due to work, but couldn't tear myself away. What a wonderful visit you all experienced. Ruth's parents seem so young (and young at heart) and your children love them so much. After all the adventures it was difficult to watch Joshua cry his little heart out as he said goodbye to his vovos. I didn't realize Ruth was raised in Brazil. You all were so comfortable there, but once back in Japan the whole family will realize that the family is energized by this trip. Thanks for sharing this with us.

When I saw it was a one hour and 17 minutes long video, I thought I was going to have to watch it in 2 or 3 parts, but once I started watching it, I couldn´t stop. Joshua's crying when leaving is hard to watch. All the kids seem to love Brazil whole a lot than Japan so I wish they could move back there someday. 子供達は日本よりもブラジルの生活の方が好きそうに見えました。いつかブラジルに引っ越せたらいいですね。
それが海外生活の大きな特徴です。 私たちは日本を愛していますが、愛する人との別れは、どこに住んでいようとも、決して簡単なことではありません。

That was such a wonderful full feature episode! I had to sit and watch the entire episode on the television. I have to say that the cinematography, editing, content, and narration were top notch. Thank you for taking us halfway around the world and showing us some of the challenges you faced as well as all the exciting adventures your family experienced while on vacation. It was heartbreaking at the end. The kids had such a hard time saying goodbye to their grandparents, Big J looked like he took it real hard, they had such a good time and didn't want to leave. I'm sure they can't wait to return. As always, can't wait for the next episode.

Waited a few days to watch this and wow what an adventure that was! That boat ride was everything! Sleeping on the hammocks reminded me of the childhood naps I'd take while visiting my extended family in Central America. I learned BR Portuguese a few years ago with the hope of someday traveling to Brazil, and now I'm dreaming of visiting this beautiful part of the country I would've never thought of if it wasn't for the Reutter's :)
Growing up, traveling with my family all around our state was my favorite, and in a few years you will all remember this time with such fondness, especially when the kids are all grown up. I think y'all win the award for best summer vacation of 2022!

You captured your wonderful family holiday so beautifully… I was smiling all the time seeing everyone looking so happy all the time, until the very end when I teared up seeing Joshua so upset hugging his grandparents goodbye.

This one is really grabbing my heart and bringing back memories of trips our family took to the Mosquito Coast with a mission organization my dad and his friends started almost thirty years go (Alabama Honduras Medical and Educational Network: AHMEN). We worked with a local church group called Cruzadas Evangelicos. I have memories of going to remote villages with no electricity and where no doctor had ever gone before. So many precious moments. The churches you are going into remind me so much of the churches in Honduras and the homes remind me so much of the homes we visited in. You are living such a rich and rewarding life. Prayers that you and yours are able to live this life for many years.

My family lives in São José dos Campos, and I only get to see them every 4 to 5 years. I love that my culture and roots all trace back to Brasil. Even though I was born and raised in the USA, I feel like I've lived in Brasil my entire life. I'd give anything to see my family, especially since I'm graduating High School, later this year. The girls are beyond lucky to have grown up in such a remarkable place! *& btw, I sympathize with Joshua (in the last clip). When I left my family, I hated it. I never wanted to leave.
Such a wonderful hour I spent watching your fantastic extended family. I was crying right along with everyone when you were saying goodbye at the airport. God bless as your family takes Christ to the world. Always love every video.

What I thought when I saw your beautiful video was that the size of the Amazon River was far beyond my imagination and it was amazing. I remember watching your video a long time ago, there was a big event with a lot of Paz church members in a very big stadium, right? Yes, the scale of the Amazon River is tremendous and hard to truly convey in a video. I'm glad I got to take not only all my kids on this trip, but all of you as well :)

We live in Osaka n also just made the big trip with our 3 kiddos back to our home country after 3 years of not being able to travel so there were many moments we could identify with.
