A'Ho Sisters &Brothers From The Algonquin Nation ,Great To See That The 500 Nations of Indigenous people Have Their Place In Hollywood Once Again Congratulations!!!!
I enjoy this series very much. thank goodness the producers see the Dene" as people, the characters are fantastic. I have read Hillerman's books about 20 years ago. loved them. Angela
I just finished watching the first two episodes and loved them! Thanks to everyone concerned for making this show! I have read all the Hillerman books and seen every filmed version, and while I have loved all of it, you guys are creating a wonderful world from all the previous iterations. Yay!!!
I just bought 1 episode on Amazon but this series is so good I ended up buying the whole season and binged watched it--the ending was so cool! I am used to seeing Adam Beach and Wes Studi in these roles so wasn't sure of this series, but I do hope there are many more years to come! Thanks for the great performances guys! I have seen each of you in many other native shows and no one disappoints in any of them!
I read and read ALL books related to the native culture and the Hillerman books show and tell a great history, native culture, and the journey in the creative stories he tells. This new series is adaptive to the Hillerman books and the actors are true to his characters. I love this great opportunity for the watchers of the show to learn and love the culture.
I've watched the whole season. It's amazing. I watch each episode again imediately to catch, understand and digest everything. There is so much depth to this show. As of writing this I'm so happy that season two has been announced. Thanks everyone and congratulations.
I'm so happy to watch these . I moved away a few years ago and I miss that country everyday . Thank you so much . And I so miss being around the energy and magic of the Santa Fe Film scene , so interesting and fun to constantly bump into your favorite actors all over town . I used to pull into Kaune's market at the same time as Gene Hackman and he and his beat up truck were always covered in adobe , Fun !!!!
You had me at Zahn🤩. When I finished my Longmire binge, I’d lost heart. Looking for more, I found Dark Winds. Such amazing craftwork all around. Well done and thank you for your service and bravery in sharing this beautiful culture with the world. Can’t wait for the seasons to come. ❤
Excellent presentation, truly wonderful cast! I just watched through episode 4 and am thrilled to hear there's a season 2 coming! I hope it's longer than 6 episodes! Now to order some of the Hillerman books....!
I never thought that this would be an indian western series when I started watching it. But after seeing the story told through Joe Leaphorn I immediately thought of the iconic characters of the westerns I love. Zahn has always interested me with his character acting in past films/series. I'm so glad he did this and played this role. He was perfect - the whole cast was perfect.
This Is One of The Best Series In The Last 20 Years... A Thousand Times Better Than "Yellowstone",... On Bar With "Longmire"... Great Acting,,, So Easy To Follow The "Story Line",,, Believable,,,
10:01 I was wondering about that set in 1970s ok.because when che mentioned a space age shirt In season two episode one, I was like nobody says that nowadays. But it sounds like something they said. Back in the early 80s on 70s.
The series was fantastic, especially thanks to the lead actor Zahn McClarnon, and I would be happy to see a third episode or any films produced by Native Americans. - In the second season, however, a crucial mistake was made: the moon landing mentioned here took place in summer (30th July 1971; Apollo 15). The associated action, however, takes place with snow and in the winter; there was a moon landing then too (Apollo 14), but neither with Scott nor with the lunar rover.
LOVE these actors but I ALSO read the books and loved them - so glad it was made into the series. Tony Hillerman wrote many books about Leaphorn and Chee and those were the genesis of the series.
Credit needs to be given to Buffy Sainte Marie who stood up to the Hollywood brass to insist that Native people be cast in all Native roles. And this happened during that fertile period which is portrayed by this series.
OK, 15 minutes into the finale, FBI agent Whitover whips out a semi-automatic that may not have existed yet. The FBI didn't issue semi-automatics until around 1980. I always watch weapons in TV and movies.
Why did you not use real Dine(Navajo's) I NAVAJO I didn't understand your language....only one person that I understood was Our cheii' John P.Commanche from Nageezi New Mexico.
i really hope the show's story/focus stays true to the original material Based on the "Leaphorn & Chee" series by Tony Hillerman. nothing worse than disappointing and ultimately forgettable basic cable shows.
The show is fun but holds small resemblance to characters and story. Just like Game of Thrones the title remains the same but the story not so much. In the books Chee is a traditional Navajo, Leaphorn is non-traditional and Frank Nakai is not a sniper-far from it he is an elder medicine man. Disappointed and intrigued.
From what I hope, this life you depict is actually the life you want... Some of that Hippie Spirit! This generation, now, can (?) understand that any religion or none. The natural world surrounds us all with what we need. But, seeking comfort today at the cost of a Dark Future for children is (?) unacceptable. Well is it? All you people 18 - 30 choosing a path, 30-50 commuting, 50-70 lost, 70-... hopeless.
I used to love to listen to him, but the first time I heard him use the term "Wokeness" I knew that he has a right wing point of view that I don't subscribe to,
No Nativ - uses internch! Hence; AMC claims - relates(Re = Nativ again?) You got caught, by your lies(LYsz). Unlsz kidnapped - AMz'! There's no wayfare, they, is in - any foreign studio(STT'- situated u' this observation).
Some are just glad that there is indigenous representation. Now you're upset because everyone wasn't Navajo? They were cast based on their ability to portray a character not by their tribal connection.
I am eagerly awaiting a 3 rd season, hopefully with more than 6 episodes. Thank to all involve for this exceptional production of storytelling🎉
The show had me hooked in a minute or less. Such an awesome show.
A'Ho Sisters &Brothers From The Algonquin Nation ,Great To See That The 500 Nations of Indigenous people Have Their Place In Hollywood Once Again Congratulations!!!!
About damn time! Native Americans are finally front and centered!
Finally got another great series for our entertainment!!!
I enjoy this series very much. thank goodness the producers see the Dene" as people, the characters are fantastic. I have read Hillerman's books about 20 years ago. loved them. Angela
I've read all of Tony Hillerman's books, have been waiting for this for a long time. Looks like an excellent show, for a change.
Thank you all.

Nice. Thanks. Love the show. I read the books years ago.
I fell in love with this show before the end of the first episode I just wish there was more than six episodes of a season

Maximum points. Story, setting and acting. Can't wait to see the rest of Season One and will definitely tune into Season Two.

Great show, beautiful, dramatic. Can’t wait for Season 2 in US.
The show perfectly captures an atmosphere never before seen
Awesome series, love it. Im hooked

Totally agree. Longmire was my favorite show I've ever watched and now I have Dark Winds.
Cop actor (Leap Horn) was spot on .
So was the premier . 👍
Mr. Zahn McClarnon

Beautiful and Talented Cast! Much Respect💛
Can't wait for season 2

Best thing they ever made - there needs to be more episodes per season.
Excellent cast! I look forward to watching "Dark Winds". Thank you 👏😃
Love this show. Can’t wait to see more.
I love this show you guys are awesome!
Zahn is incredible and amazing
So well done. Brilliant acting.
Wonderful show. Feels real.

Love this series

Yes. More!
I love this show you feel for the character
Awesome show
Season two let’s go
Love this production! Every episode, and I have read every Tony Hillerman I could get my hands on. Only missing a few of his publications.
Love this series ;)
Credit needs to be given to Buffy Sainte Marie who stood up to the Hollywood brass to insist that Native people be cast in all Native roles. And this happened during that fertile period which is portrayed by this series.
Very good!
The two female actors are so beautiful.

This show is amazing but that thumnail threw me for a loop thinking theyre already on season 2
Much Power 2The Ppl
Need to do a story about lucy juicy and her empire on the rez in the early days
Yes please
It's awesome, beautiful show
I wish somebody had taught the captioning app the name "Leaphorn." Regardless, I'm very psyched for this show!
Lee Porn??? Really?
The Camel Rock Studio is on a pueblo north of Santa Fe.
They need a better cameraman. I want to see the stats not a long view of the stage.
Would have been nice to also have a native host.
That's a ridiculous assertion.
But isn't Joe Leaphorn supposed to be working out of the Window Rock station?
All are great as is series and books. The moderator is lousy though
Why did you not use real Dine(Navajo's) I NAVAJO I didn't understand your language....only one person that I understood was Our cheii' John P.Commanche from Nageezi New Mexico.

Good good turn out then???

Do not cancel this show ever and make more espiodes per season this 6 espiode per season crap doesn't work well for fans

Awesome show, but terrible interview.
Indian humor

hearing more from the creative writer and director would be nice! these actors are wankers....
The cast weren't even Navajo people so why do we except this so wrong
And Tom Cruise is not in the Navy neither!
@@Kenji-ds9rf Except Tom Cruise can actually fly a jet while these actors can’t even speak the language right at all
Some are just glad that there is indigenous representation. Now you're upset because everyone wasn't Navajo? They were cast based on their ability to portray a character not by their tribal connection.
@@rd7726 The characters are based on NAVAJO characters that involves NAVAJO culture so tribal connection be VERY important
@razhinderbitsoi6690 They are actors doing their jobs and they did very well representing navajo culture. Chill.
What a rip off it's a boring monotonous show. It really sucks
