We kust purchased a new hot tub. I can't use the lifter. It is too heavy. I open the first lid then get in the tub to open the second lid and it sits upright at the back in the lifter. What am i doing wrong? My husband has no problem.
@@bunnywoods2459 I wonder if you could email me a picture of it so I can see what you're doing? My teen daughters can open it no problem so I'd be surprised if you couldn't open it so there must be something about it that's not correct. admin@hottubownerhq.com
Hello Jeff, I love all your videos, I ordered the same lifter as you and was wondering how much clearance I need for the lifter to work properly thanks
I’d need a lift my top got wet while I was in the hot tub; what I did not realize was how heavy it was. it took me about two hours to get that cover back on top of hot up in pouring down rain. I have a six seater hot tub that cover falls to the front where my control panel is located. what would you suggest as far as a lift for my six seater?
Thank you for the video Jeff I am about to buy a hot tub after I build the deck and your video of support the tub on a deck gave me a great idea of what to do. Now my question is the tub is going to go against to brick walls so how far away from these walls should the tub be? I know there has to be room for maintenance but I don't know how much is good enough without taking up the whole deck. Thank you in advance.
Hi Daniele My hot tub (here when I bought my house) is open on 2 sides and is about 6" away from a wood fence on the other 2 sides. I would ideally like a little more clearance than that as when things fall over the side, it's pretty hard to get to them. My filters are also on one of those sides by the fence making it hard to remove them for cleaning if I'm not in the hot tub (but watching me crawl around the lip of the hot tub to get them can be pretty humorous). Brick is pretty resilient so I wouldn't be worried about it being too close due to the heat or anything like that. Just make sure the side going against the wall of the house isn't the side where your control pack/pump/blower are as I guarantee you'll need to get to those things from time to time. But to answer your question more specifically, I would think 6" of clearance would be plenty and you could probably get away with less. Hope that helps and thanks for being here! - Jeff
i'm going to just come out and say it like I see it. In a 12min 14sec video about cover lifts you actually start talking about them after 10min 08sec of redundant video. How many times do you have to repeat the same thing? about the chemicals, about baking soda, about how the cover gets damaged. It just goes on an on. How many times do you have to say your wife and daughter are just "unable" to remove the cover. I am 65 yrs old and sliding the cover off to one side of the spa is not difficult at all. I had really enjoyed and learned a few things with another of your videos but after watching this one, sorry, never again.

Can you leave a floater in your hot tub while the cover is on . And how long can you leave the cover on with the float in the hot tub.

Hi Jeff I noticed how you close the cover-do you have your top falling on top of the control panel?
Can I turn my cover to drop on sides instead of front control panel?
