thank you for watching again ph4n_t0m :) its something a little different than our usual content but being the summer lul and all seemed like a nice time to show something else we've been playing the past few weeks :)
Fortifications have Ai Controlled Gunners, this can range from Rifles ( Wooden Boxes ), Machine Guns ( Metal Bunkers ), Anti Tank Towers ( Metal Hexagons ). Ai Controlled Fortifications have colored flags, if its white / gray it means its not Ai Controlled. Machine gun fire will provide Suppression to those buildings to make it easier to plant bombs or throw grenades. Day gives full range, night gives reduced range ( Motors have Flares and can provide a day light buff in the Flare Range ) Basic Martials can be used to build or repair buildings and fix trucks, cars and tanks with the Hammer you spawn in with. ( Note it is heavy so 20 is a good number to carry and some items need supplies that are made from factories ) You did pretty good for your first time in the game.
I am about to hit 5000 hours in Foxhole. It is a choose your own adventure game for sure. Some players choose the micro battles and some play their part in the macro, multi-regimental operations. Seems like you are learning fast and you are open minded when it comes to the teams plans. Paying attention to communications and sharing intel by typing it out is some high level stuff. I wish all new players communicated like that. Just remember that a lot of communication is over local voice and not always typed. Particularly, tanks will not usually have time to stop and type anything. Front lines are fast paced and dynamic. Additionally, there are a lot of people that will give you miss-information about the best way to play Foxhole. Rank is a good indicator of experience but is not always a guarantee, as some people are rank boosted by running logi and have little experience on the front line. Some people will try to guide you in the wrong direction. So be careful who you listen to. Good luck and have fun!
i have to say we have been having fun when we hop in - the learning curve is steep and the game seems very complex but i like that you dont have to learn it all in one go :)
I LOVE watching new players join the game. After years things can get stale and repetitive (salty is a good way to describe it). Everytime I see new players having the time of their lives it brings me back to my first few wars and how much fun I had.
I think you already see it in your comments. The foxhole community is one of the most friendly you will ever experience in a game. Thats a big part why i love this game and spend way to many hours on it now. Love to see new people explore the game. I hope you will get the same experience and you probably will. :))
When you are shooting have your reticle directly *on* the enemy player: it'll be red. The game's firearms are hit-scan but does your vertical aiming for you so it goes where you aim it BUT only if you're right on it.
[Ech]man here, thanks for posting about the game! It has a great community and I highly suggest getting into a clan to do some of the team orientated game play the game has to offer.
Some pieces of advice! One- If you see an enemy making a mistake, don't correct it, Just take advantage! Two- Find a clan, Alot of clans in foxhole offer training and operations on a scale playing alone or in small groups cant manage so easilly. Maybe next war If you roll Warden, the 27th would be more than happy to train you in the game and showcase a plethora of skills and knowledge to you! Three, Pay attention to the white line of your gun when you aim. It shows not only what you're aiming at, But if it's red, it means something is between you & your target, And the white line is the effective range of your weapon. If your white line does not reach your aim, Then it's safe to say you're firing beyond that weapons effective range and as a result that weapon is not only less accurate at that range, but the damage falloff is more drastic the further the distance!
I recognize both of your names. Pretty sure I sent squad invites to both of you a few days ago when I was squading with a lot of new players. Id definitely suggest jumping into some open squads to see what the organized community is like as well regardless of who it is. Welcome to foxhole and I hope you guys have fun!
Pro tip: if you want to get into some more complex things ie- superheavies, battleships, and storm cannons. You will most likely have to join a regi, me personally I took a liking to logi so I picked FMAT. But if you like more frontline combat then 82dk may be for you, Fears is also another regi that does more “building” so to speak but they also do logi as well. TLDR: join Regis if you wanna get into the REALLY expensive and cool stuff.
13:25 That why you always have a sticky or two on you, especially if enemy vehicles are confirmed to be in area. As silly as it sounds, but sticky grenade is best AT out there, after proper AT guns.
Addition on 18:50 : Dont shoot bunkers, it will trigger them to shoot back even if they didnt see you before (also they see only 30-25m away at night).
You shouldn't have to worry too much Nicoo about TOS regarding this. This information is absolutely not live LoL. It would be different if it was a livestream and they didn't block their map info.
Lockheed might be the most infamous bridge in the entire game b/c it's such a pain to take. Half the time it's a pointless meatgrinder and the other half it's nearly empty with only a few players on both sides taking potshots at each other. It usually takes armor and a big, organized push to hold the other side. That's why colies often just flank around it when trying to take Marban Hollow.
Looks like you all had an amazballs first experiance of Foxhole.. I warn you now... it will suck you in, Im at 2,300hrs played and there are still parts of the map i have never seen. But there are loads of great people on there to play with, as we are on the same side ill keep my eyes peeled for you guys in game.
@@marcusravenheart I'd love to get him playing on the channel again and he has my old PC now from when i upgraded last year - we've not really played anything together since Elite Dangerous but i'll see if i can convince him to join us in SC or Foxhole :D we are both doing fine though thank you for asking :)
in SC he has appeared very rarely, he did the voice over for one of the Siege of Orison videos because my throat was particularly bad that week (I suffer form Laryngitis Sicca) he was in a lot of the Elite Dangerous videos though with me back at the start of the channel
one video wouldnt be enough. i suggest looking up freerk on youtube. he does many how to videos for foxhole and even updates the old ones when things change in the game.
Nice video ! If you want to learn logi there’s a lot of tutorials on RUclips for the new players or you can just ask in general chat, people will help you :)
If you are still Colonial by the time you read this and want to show more of the logistical side of things, I've got a few people that can show you guys around the facilities we help out with. It's a pretty different feeling from the combat side of the game. Let me know if you are interested! If not, then I will just say hello from [1703] and welcome to Foxhole!
Played PlanetSide 2 a ton. Wonderful game and so happy it's still chugging along like its predecessor. However I do recommend you try this game. It has alot of depth beyond what PlanetSide would offer. I think this would be right up your alley.
@@Citizen_Kate Yeah. I'm so sick and tired of salvage and mining, that I've dusted up my old PS4 (oh god, PS4 is old now!) and I'm replaying Uncharted series from first to last.
Like this game but i am horribly bad at it xD Also no other game gave me such a feeling of beeing absolute useless playing alone. Thats a real multiplayer game.
Also there is no point in trying to attack enemy defences by yourself or in small group, only singular watchtower and pillboxes, or structures with no AI (downed flag means that AI is inactive, also flag indicates wind strength and direction but it matters only for arty). Especially if it isnt some random T1 or T2 base with no AT, the best thing you can do alone or in small squad is QRF or partisan (stealing stuff and killing trucks in enemy backline, just dont get caught or get into fights with anyone but lone truck drivers).
@@Citizen_Kate fair enough I won't condemn you. I only play star citizen before that I used to play elite dangerous. It was you that got me into star citizen after the odyssey debacle.
ah you followed the same path as me :) yeah it was a shame what happened with Odyssey, but i don't think i would have ever tried SC if it had been good! Don't worry SC content is still the main focus here :)

I love foxhole so much I am so happy whenever I see new players!
thank you for watching! it's been a lot of fun so far and we've had a lot of really nice interactions with other colonial players too :)
I was gonna say almost the exact same thing
So crazy when a channel you watch for one game, randomly plays my main game. Good luck! I wish I could experience the game for the first time again
this is the first I've seen of this game and it's fantastic. Always appreciate your narrated adventures :)
