Watching as much content on MB as possible as I backed a full Ouroboros pledge on the Ragnarok KS! Going to learn to paint with Marvel United as Chibi seems easy to paint and then hopefully be pretty good at painting by the time Ragnarok arrives!
I don't know if you already painted it, but the guy with skulls in his belly, I'd airbrush with a bone color and then do a wash in there. Then paint the rest of the mini.
A yeah just using a wash is a good idea! I might be able to highlight the tops of the skulls as well to add a sort of glowing OSL effect (perhaps) :D I'll be painting him soon so we'll have to see.
@@TheKingofAverage Looking forward to your unboxing and review videos of MBP. I just got mine in the mail yesterday! I've been itching to finally paint something again and waiting to do these.
Thanks so much for the compliment! Glad you enjoy them - makes the processing of filming them worthwhile! Do you have this game? Can't decide what to paint first.
@@TheKingofAverage I bought the newest revision with a full pledge, but I don;t have anything yet as it hasn't shipped. What I want to do is get the Massive Darkness expansions. Would love to see those painted if they haven't been already. Enjoy the compliment, you deserve it. :)
I actually got my start on YT with Massive Darkness! Check my playlists but be kind, I was new at YT so they aren't as great :P Excited for 1.5 as well! I can't play this until it comes anyway lol
I don't know about MBP but their system for Conan (and in the future Batman Gotham City Chronicles) is amazing! It's currently my household favorite! The idea of having the gems be your action points as well as your health, and having no defined turn order for the heroes makes it a very strategic game when combined with the river system for the overlord.
Hah! love your description :D He's part of 1.5 which isn't out yet, this is just all of the 1.0 stuff they are still providing as part of 1.5. I imagine he's in a box like the Manticore.
Mechanically, this game is meh. There are better skirmish games than this one. That being said, the hype around it is for the minis, and deservedly so. They are beautiful.
@@TheKingofAverage Being a skirmish game i think the combat in the sense of attacks and movement could be more effective. There's unecessary fluff specially in regards to the dice/cards (meaning you could achieve the same results with a simpler system)...the objectives in the other hand are extremely simple and plain in my opinion, for a game of that size they could've definetly come up with something that makes the battles itself more meaninful and creative. If you take the perspective of how the game works mechanically, its very basic and there are other games that do the same thing in a more effective, faster and straightforward manner. For example, it can take an hour an a half to get the same feeling you get by playing, say, Shadespire in 30 minutes at most. And, if you do want a bigger war game, then just play Necromunda or Warhammer instead. The game itself could be much more than what it is, but i think they put more effort in the minis and the presentation (which are awesome and beautiful) than the system itself.
@@DihColorado Okay gotcha. Will be interesting to see how I feel about it. The only other skirmish game I've played was Fallout Wasteland Warfare and I really like that one. Will see what changes in Ragnarok as well!

My lovely, lovely game!
hehe, you like the game? I can't play it until I get the core box sadly :( Painting only for now :)
Is it sad I like all of your videos before even watching them, because I know they are going to be good?

What do you think on their games? The mechanics do have good points ?

What about that fat guy being carried by those little dudes? Was expecting him to be on the video. Can't wait to paint him.

My fantasy beasts collection could really benefit from having a manticore, oh well )
That Manticore is AMAZING and a great scale for it as well. If it hits KS again I cannot recommend it enough.

Do you know if 1.5 improved it much at all? The only thing I had heard is that the combat can be odd.
@@TheKingofAverage Its the same game with the same mechanics, but i heard they might change some things for the Ragnarok version.
Hmm, will certainly have to see! Anything in particular you think could improve? Is it just the combat like I've heard?
