I'd rank Dave Smith up there with him, although I guess you could argue Dave's content is more commentary than journalism. The distinction is very blurry - Jimmy does focus more on exposing news stories most people aren't aware of, but he does so by bringing on the journalists who are reporting on it, so you could argue he's more platforming those journalists than doing "journalism" himself... But I don't think how you define it really matters either way, what matters is that they're exposing people to the truth they wouldn't otherwise know about.

When I watched a bit of the trial it made me cry. Kyle was a child - they persecuted a CHILD! A mature well composed one, but only 16. As a mom I just kept thinking "that poor baby" and crying.
I have ocean front property and our county council has increased our set backs which makes it impossible to build back. The entire ocean front will be displaced. Our local government is corrupt and their friends are milking the system. We had so many prior fires to learns from and a big one back in 2018 that almost took Lahaina. They did nothing to prepare and why no emergency roads were opened and no emergency sirens were used. All the people who died lived in a neighborhood full of families with older people. Been watching Dore for about 3 years. Most consistent streamer bar none. One doesn't have to agree with everything he says, but his coherence, his consistency is top drawer. Ironically he is more self critical and honest than the vanilla news commentaries.

His views simply evolved as things happened in the world, as did mine. A huge turning point was the 2016 election and the aftermath with Russia-gate. He did not become a Trump supporter or stop being liberal, but his recent audience doesn't understand that.
I appreciate that he has evolved publicly, and in my opinion, organically. This has happened to lots of people who were willing to accept that the narrative as given does not accurately account for the bizarre reality we find ourselves living in. Cheers!

I have ocean front property and our county council has increased our set backs which makes it impossible to build back. The entire ocean front will be displaced. Our local government is corrupt and their friends are milking the system. We had so many prior fires to learns from and a big one back in 2018 that almost took Lahaina. They did nothing to prepare and why no emergency roads were opened and no emergency sirens were used. All the people who died lived in a neighborhood full of families with older people. His views simply evolved as things happened in the world, as did mine. A huge turning point was the 2016 election and the aftermath with Russia-gate. He did not become a Trump supporter or stop being liberal, but his recent audience doesn't understand that.
I appreciate that he has evolved publicly, and in my opinion, organically. This has happened to lots of people who were willing to accept that the narrative as given does not accurately account for the bizarre reality we find ourselves living in. Cheers!
