Trump's attorneys filed a motion to postpone the NYC Falsified Financial Records case based on the DC appeal to SCOTUS. Judge Merchan scolded Trump's team and denied the motion while proceeding to hear the case. Now the whole case must be reviewed and if evidence was used that is now subject to immunity the case would need be a mistrial or dismissed. All of the stormy Daniels story is great theater, but totally irrelevant and if the "other crime" the jury used was "covering up a sexual relationship" that is not a crime nor is paying an NDA. Were the payments to a lawyer (as recorded) or payments to Stormy Daniels? Cohen testified he paid Stormy and the payments were to Cohen who was Trump's attorney (as recorded). What is the other crime that was not identified in the indictment, was not prosecuted, no defense was allowed, and never convicted. You can't just make up another crime that the jury doesn't even need to agree upon.

You'd need to identify that crime, give Trump his due process, and have a conviction for the charges to approach reality in the case that relies on it. And then all the jurors would have to agree.
