Ahh, back when games had sweet missions that actually LOOK like the developer put thought and time into, i miss these games. The weather during the night time gave it such a cool effect, all the sounds in this game are amazing, one of the coolest missions
This game got me through some hard times when I was younger, I know there’s much more productive activities to do but this was it for me. I was a beast at knifing online by tricking and provoking people, highest streak being 13 haha. I truly feel to have played this game daily at its highest peak in popularity is a blessing, it just gave something no either game gave at the time, and while The upcoming battlefields weren’t bad, none matched what this game brought to me. Coming across this brings back memories of joy in a rough time, like a big fuzzy coat in the winter lol

I've had Helicopters fly overhead on a regular basis where I use to live. They would fly pretty low sometimes, and that shit shook all my windows violently lol. Some parts of the city exactly look and feel like Tehran! The 10/15 store buildings everywhere and the vegetation, the fances, guard rails and the street lamps looks so accurate

The Osprey going overhead has a nice "helicopter going overhead" sound but as soon as it passes the sound fades away and the sound that remains is pretty subpar and doesn't really reflects that there's a two engine aircraft hovering very close to you. It doesn't have to be deafenening as it would be irl, but that really doesn't do justice. This is actually a gripe i have with games sound design, lots of times on games you can only hear what is going on really close to you. I was playing the Modern Warfare remaster but i could not keep going because the combat just sounds so weak. On the first mission where you play with the Marine on the invasion, some jets fly like 10 meters above you sometimes and you almost can't hear them. It's almost the same problem here.

This campaign is underrated. Really makes you feel the loneliness and helplessness of the situation even though you'd think these countries would have known about the attacks.
They say this is underrated because there's no different characters you can play and only 4 specific characters you can only play. You can only play on not-so-many places. Even if it's 12 missions, there's not much.

They had the formula figured out. This game is 10 years old and still fun to play, the graphics are still great and the feel of this campaign is unlike any other shooter that I have played. I wish they'd go back to making them like this. I hope they go back to this formula, making a good game with excellent attention to detail, a good story and a realistic feel. We got our ww2 era games, time to make one like this again.
Battlefield 3 has such a unique feel about it. Something like claustrophobia and creeping anxiety combined. The frequent camera effects like glare and water droplets make it really difficult to see sometimes, and the soundtrack is mostly droning and synth. It also didn't have larger-than-life, boisterous characters, just guys swearing their way through very difficult jobs. There's still nothing quite like it.
I remember when I was doing the final co-op mission when I was like 14. Finally met another guy with a mic and he was talking about hes glad to finally have someone who can communicate. We get half way and my dad forces me to get off. Made me feel worse for letting the guy down
I don't understand why people complained about the seemingly blue tint (i can't notice it) but it's honestly the most real looking i've seen in the entire battlefield franchise now idk whether that's because of the region i'm in but it feels more real than a lot of parts in bf4, 1 and V

BF3 was just awesome. Singleplayer, Multiplayer and Co-op, all on point. The best battlefield all time. This game was way ahead for 2011. So much great memories.💯
Things were wrong with this game: - Main characters had Afghan accent - So many Arabic signs in the city - Tehran has different geological look and feel These were okay: - Overal look of city - Very nice game play - Cool (but unreal) story - Great graphic for its time
@83rdox Honestly BF1 was playable and felt like BF but wasn't the same to me as 3 or 4. Battlefront 2015 was the downfall as it introduced the new UI and vehicle spawns (not physically on the maps). Then V just gutted the rest of the features that made it BF, IMHO.
To think that this game was released in 2011... It was way ahead of its time in my opinion, perhaps the best battlefield game ever
