Selling your soul to the devil....is NOT literally. It means that I forfeited my integrity, my values to fit someone else's need, not my own. I did something not "right", in exchange for getting something more, something in the illusion that I would gain much more in return. That is the meaning of that saying. The devil is the greed, lust and desire. I then would be left with hollow. Now being aware of my actions will say this. It's done much too frequently to certain degrees. Staying with one's integrity is not always one's behavior....
