Saw him last night in Glór in Ennis with Damien Dempsey - unreal!! He is so talented. One of best concerts I have been at. Éamonn de Barra was also playing with them.
The do have names. Variations and ornamentation can be improvised but the tune itself certainly isn’t. First one is the fox hunters reel. Second one is the tune for a found harmonium.
