When I saw Cannibal Corpse at summer slaughter a few years ago, someone threw a beer can on up on stage, so the first few minutes of the show was Corpsegrinder ranting about killing the guy who threw it and his family. Good times.
Oh man, whatever you do, DON'T throw shit at George!! The second time I saw them, some asshole accidentally threw a boot at him (for whatever reason it came off in the mosh and people were tossing it around to each other) and right in the middle of "Stripped, Raped and Strangled," he said "GRR GRR GRRR- i swear ima kill one of you sonsabitches tonight- GRR GRRR GRRRRR." Then he was trying to hand some kid a water bottle, and some guy next to him was trying to grab it, and he said "I WILL KNOCK YOUR HEAD OFF YOU SOULLESS MOTHERFUCKER!!" haha
@@KillbotAndGorGorAttack when my brother saw cannibal corpse someone rushed the stage trying to get a selfie and George straight up kicked him into the crowd
Oh George is great at banter. But I love how he continues pissing the Alliance fans off with that xD they're all like "oh you need to make him apologize" and he's like "I don't care!"
He's great at improvising too. When I saw them he said "this is our last song tonight" and someone shouted "I'm going to write an angry letter!" Corpsegrinder replied "An angry letter? To who? Send it to Barnes, maybe he'll care."
At that same concert people were shouting out the songs they wanted them to play and he was like "You keep shouting these song titles, but I'm looking at our setlist and I don't see any of them on here." *BOOOO* "Okay, maybe there's a few of them on here. What would you have us do? Play every single song from every single album?" *Crowd cheers* "Yeah, I think not."
Seeing Lamb of God for the first time was amazing since Randy Blythe was very interactive with the crowd and even told everyone what to expect if it was heir first Slayer show. As well as Ozzys ranting about a guy with a cell phone when I saw Black Sabbath.
I never thought about this before, but you're so right! Sometimes i remember the small bands and festivals more than the headliners because of little conversations with the audience!
You are so right, sometimes I see bands who just walk onto the stage, play their setlist and go away, not even a greeting nod to the audience. I mean, I could as well just have stayed home and listened to your albums and get the same experience, do you really think you are so great you can just act like there is nobody else in the club?
Single greatest DM frontman of all time was David Vincent between 1989-1996. He had a captivating aura that was solemn, sincere and more than a little scary. He didn't use the death growl in between songs to gargle unintelligible drek. Instead, he actually SPOKE to the audience. It came across so much more powerful. Sadly, he kind of became a parody of himself when he re-joined MA, but those classic early tours were something to behold.
Hahaha that ending, Bruce is the man. And the album shown before Live After Death... AC/DC at Donington. Possibly my all time fav live record. Great vid dude \m/
I don't agree with the drummer not being allowed to "open their trap". Its great seeing all the members of a band engaged in the conversation and getting along, makes them seem more human.
Def leppard are my faviourite band to see live. I love how Joe just holds the audience and everyone was so captivated by him. He was amazing. The music was amazing aswell
This is the problem I have with Tool. I love their music, but godammit they have absolutely no stage presence. Iron Maiden is the best live band I've ever seen, the only day I had more fun at a show is at Metallica, which Metallica has a lot of fun on stage as well. I love Exodus' live show as well as, GWAR, Ghoul, Slayer, Ghost, and U2.
I heard their 10,000 Days tour was disappointing too. On the other hand I heard that the tour for Aenima was great because they had people swinging on ropes and stuff. So maybe they lost something they once had?
Saw them in 2018 at Rock On The Range. For both Perfect Circle and Tool, they had pretty cool visualizers and laser lights going on. That, and like 10-15k+ people with massive crowd surfing and beach balls thrown made it a unique experience. Absolutely no banter other than them announcing they were playing a new song.
Thanks for fixing that mistake. It just made me uncomfortable when I heard you say Gary Souza the first time. XD gotta say though, I liked Rob Dukes better.
Now I just have to think of things to say. My band’s second show is coming up and we’re gonna be debuting at least three new songs, and plenty more covers
The part that really busted me up was the photo of Neil Giraldo. I literally have never read, heard or tried in any way to get information about his personality, but I noticed years ago that every Pat Benatar show, the advertisement or information always gave Neil Geraldo top billing along with Pat, even though nobody I know would ever go to see Neil play if he wasn't married to her. I kinda already figured out that Neil is a legend in his own mind...
I never seen Venom live I went to a brutal death metal concert and I got your meeting vocalist of mortician I got an autograph from the vocalist of mortician
"Never open with 'How you doing?'", Chuck Schuldiner always opened by playing one song, then asking everyone how theyre doing in that sweet innocent Florida accent.
Whats your opinion on the way Death Grips does live shows where they don't speak at all with the audience, they just do an extremely intense long show with no spaces in between the songs.
Although on that note, I will probably remember Epica's Cry For The Moon for the drum solo at the end in Retrospect and The Islander by Nightwish is always lead in with either Marco telling a funny story and/or the rest of the band just flat out leaving in the beginning. Plus in Vehicle of Spirit, they spoke to their Tampere audience entirely in Finnish, well I don't know about Floor Jansen, adding to the cultural and personal approach.
So heres a story about a shitty show my dad saw some things to note my dad loves the Mars volta well they were doing a show with a perfect circle tickets were like 30 bucks so my dad and some friends got tickets and drove 3 hours to see tmv and the set list was all of deloused in the comatorium they get their and after the first few songs somebody threw a bottle at them they said stop or were gonna leave so more people thew shit at them so they left an hour and a half later APC comes out and put on a a shitty show one of the things my dad remembers is in part of it was Maynard telling everyone to not be sheep and believe what they want then a bit later he starts going off everyone say Fuck bush so they spent the whole 3 hour trip picking crap shows that would have been better the a perfect circle
This is what happens when you work for a while on a video and then have no one to show it to before uploading. Actually I can't believe I missed that, I watched it a few times before finalizing.

R.I.P Malcolm Young 1953-2017
M 27 R.I.P. Malcolm
Music has definitely lost a legend today.
Yea R.I.P Malcom Young
I felt weird today. And then I found about Malcolm on this comment. George died recently as well.
sakblabbath65 The recent 3 years have been harsh for this band.
Steel panther are a perfect example of entertainment
Heard somewhere that Corpsegrider will usually yells "FUCK THE ALLIANCE" (which is a warcraft reference) between songs or something.
He's a big WoW fan. He has a Horde(the enemies of The Alliance) tattoo. FOR THE HORDE

I Still Love That you put Ghost in the Thumbnail.
i saw them live and i can confirm that they have mastered the art of stage banter
Ceagice Awesome When??
Best stage banter I've seen from a band I think
Seeing Lamb of God for the first time was amazing since Randy Blythe was very interactive with the crowd and even told everyone what to expect if it was heir first Slayer show. As well as Ozzys ranting about a guy with a cell phone when I saw Black Sabbath.
I never thought about this before, but you're so right! Sometimes i remember the small bands and festivals more than the headliners because of little conversations with the audience!
Mikael Akerfeldt is my favorite stange banterer. Always witty and no fucks given.
"This is not what to do when a bird shits on you" 😂
If that's not my favorite live album, it's up there!

I love this video! You make great points!
Vortex Of Metal hi bud
Ian Slade Hey! Just let you know I am live streaming tonight! Make sure that your there!
Don’t worry I will!!🤘🏻🤘🏻👌🏻
Ian Slade Awesome!
+Vortex Of Metal Hey

Thank you, that's generally something I'm partially doing here but I'd rather be a performer.
Killbot&GorGorAttack!! i dig that
Great video as always!
Love this video! So great as always. Amazing content in the video \m/
I was unhappy with the video being removed, as I forgot to like a video that most certainly deserved a like (or a thousand).
Ha! Well, now your chance is back >:D

Just saw Origin and Archspire last night and both killed it, they were very engaging with audience and did it masterfully.
Great bands absolutely
I don't agree with the drummer not being allowed to "open their trap". Its great seeing all the members of a band engaged in the conversation and getting along, makes them seem more human.
Def leppard are my faviourite band to see live. I love how Joe just holds the audience and everyone was so captivated by him. He was amazing. The music was amazing aswell
What. Dejavu I watched this video yesterday. Not kidding
Yup, made a stupid mistake that I wanted to correct before too much time passed

I saw them in June, all I saw of Maynard was a Silhouette, and it was overall boring. They are great musicians though.

Thanks to whoever it was that pointed it out! And yes, Rob was great.
Rob was the man!

Awesome dude, just be creative! You don't have to reinvent the wheel (or steel, if you're a Pantera fan).
The part that really busted me up was the photo of Neil Giraldo. Nice Bolt Thrower poster
Thank you much! I have a European tour poster too
Killbot&GorGorAttack!! Kinda sucks Bolt Thrower merch is rare in The Netherlands
Rare everywhere, I'm sure if you were to message one of them somehow maybe they have some extras.
HammerHeart Go! Go! Zeppeli
Stage presence you’re looking for? Avatar. Trust me.
I never seen Venom live I went to a brutal death metal concert and I got your meeting vocalist of mortician I got an autograph from the vocalist of mortician
1st love the channel man!!!🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
I love the number of the beast poster in the back round
I'm guessing the band where the singer was thinking everyone for the opportunity to play with them was Suffocation?
You should see Michael Angelo Batio live
Nicest dude ever! You won't regret it...he's freaking funny as hell
He drove so god damn fast
"Never open with 'How you doing?'", Chuck Schuldiner always opened by playing one song, then asking everyone how theyre doing in that sweet innocent Florida accent.
Blink 182 are the kings of strange banter
Whats your opinion on the way Death Grips does live shows where they don't speak at all with the audience, they just do an extremely intense long show with no spaces in between the songs.
Haven't seen them and don't listen to them, but it sound like a gruelling experience.
I saw Venom last year
Check out Opeth for stage banter. Part metal show part standup comedy
5:23 You mean Retrospect and Vehicle of Spirit right?
Although on that note, I will probably remember Epica's Cry For The Moon for the drum solo at the end in Retrospect and The Islander by Nightwish is always lead in with either Marco telling a funny story and/or the rest of the band just flat out leaving in the beginning. What do you think of the bands S.O.D and DRI
Good
Phil Anselmo is the KING of stage banter!
Tony, what about Andi Deris who tells the same dam'ned story
What's your opinion on Pantera?
Every time I see Obituary they never talk.
They often have little chats amongst theirselves during the light cutouts
Theatrical bands fucking rule \m/
Glad you mentioned Ghost! So nice you also enjoy them. Thanks alot!
Why the re-upload?
Shane Staszewski He states in the description.
take the time to slow down. You never know what you will miss when you go fast and over look things
This is what happens when you work for a while on a video and then have no one to show it to before uploading. Actually I can't believe I missed that, I watched it a few times before finalizing.
Killbot&GorGorAttack!! I'm just glad you made this video, very insightful!
Nah man, come on. The drummer just wanted to stay relevant!
