There will only be one Anne Rice. While she may be gone, her works and interviews like these will always keep her alive for us. Thank you Anne. We love and miss you!
I was hurt upon finding out last night that she had passed away. I read Interview with the Vampire at a time in my life when I thought I wasn’t going to excel in anything or even live to see a version of myself happy and in high spirits. We will miss you, Anne!
My all time Favorite Author ! I'm 70 now, rereading ALL Ann's books. I read them & fell absolutely IN LOVE with the lush writing ..... It's 2023, ive not heard this interview. So well done ! THANK YOU, THANK YOU !
Wonderful interview. I'm surprised at how many similar things in writing we have in common. The first line is the hardest part of a book for me as well, and the first beginning chapters, and I also watch movies for inspiration. Anne is a wonderful writer and person. I wish to meet her one day.
vampires in highschool may not glamorize vampires but it certainly glamorizes highschool which is probably why twilight books are so popular among highschoolers ^.^
I love Anne Rice, but am a little peeved that she states that she wanted to put a new perspective on being a werewolf and remembering everything as if it was a new concept when at the very least Laurell K Hamilton was doing that very thing at least 14 years earlier.

I agree. I even cried. :( And wish she had a chance to meet Matt Bomer too. (She loved that guy.)
I like her depiction on the transformation process on how its euphoric rather then what we see looks as painful in movies.

I miss you already Anne, I love you and may a flight of beautiful angels bring you to your rest....12/11/2021
Very nice interview! Enjoyed it alot. Especially the part where she kind of explains how she begins to write on something and the process of it all.

Vampires in Highschool, what a silly idea. How come no one ever talks about Toby O' Dare!?
