Yes the data can be difficult to extract, excited to hear you are building an RE website. When it is close to completion, I’d be happy to feature it on the channel!
Hi! Is it possible to webscrape some data and use that information to make a nice dashboard, tailored only to some data we are interested in? Topic: real estate auctions
Hi Marco thanks for watching! Yes this would be a two step process. First, web scraping the data to get it into a structured format such as a CSV file. This data can be stored in a database of some sort, even Google sheets would work. Second, will be having a business intelligence tool point towards that database. This can be done with a tool like Tableau. The main metrics can then be projected onto the dashboard for review. I can share with you a trusted web scraper if you need one, email me at arielherrera@analyticsariel.com
@@axel9546 I believe starting at $400 USD for the web scraping piece. The web scraping developer can give a better estimate once he understands the use case better
Thanks Peter! Unfortunately PropStream does not offer an API, which is why I use Real Estate API instead for retrieving data programmatically. I have future content this Spring on using their API - www.realestateapi.com/
Hello Ariel , for scraping / parsing emails or listing service search notifications emails , do you know on any techniques that I can implement in order to have multiple listings in one email to to be caught by a specific item field name for the entire email or webpage ?
Hey Davion! You should be able to use a tool like Zapier to auto scrape emails based on certain criteria, here’s more info on it - zapier.com/blog/email-by-zapier-guide/
Thanks for watching Ben! You can scrape county data however it comes with complications especially trying to do it at scale. Here’s a relevant thread you may find useful - www.biggerpockets.com/forums/80/topics/516157-county-website-scraping
Hey Adrian! Are you looking for examples using programming languages like Python? If so I can point you towards specific videos I have created. The intent of this video is to provide an overview of web scraping for those who are non technical as well. Not clickbait, not lame 🙃 feel free to reach out to me directly on LinkedIn if you’d like more guidance
@@TechInRealEstate Yooo. Thanks for the response. Yeah, I get your point, but, the title is a little misleading. But, all good. I was looking for info on scraping for node.js, but found it.
I found the video very useful. However, of course, a more accurate title would be something like "Overview of Data Services and Web Scraping for Real Estate Websites in 2022". But it's in the current culture of RUclips and similar platforms to make titles that can attract as many viewers as possible rather than being the most accurate.

Thanks for watching! You can use the agent endpoints for this API to retrieve agency and contact info - rapidapi.com/apimaker/api/zillow-com1
Very cool Ariel! I’m starting to look at this for a new RE website I’m building…getting the correct and best data is definitely a challenge!
