Family emergency abroad - 4 years later | Storytime

4 years ago today I received the worst phone call of my life. I'm finally ready to talk about it.
In this video I talk about a huge family emergency that I faced back in 2018. It was an incredibly difficult time to be living abroad away from my family. I hope talking about my experience can help others going through something similar ❤️

I'm not even your mom's relative... are you sure you want to keep this video as public? Probably everyone will think you should've stayed with you mom in the hospital.

And that is exactly why this video is public! For anyone else living abroad going through something similar. I did feel pressured into staying in the UK but she was in the best place and under the best care. I only returned to Iceland when the situation had started to improve and when I had a plan and funds to regularly visit.
Now that she is okay she tells me that I made the right decision to return to Iceland 😊
