The rock music is chosen by taste, because it sounds good and help sustaining attention for tutorials (which are attention intensive content). Using non energetic music has been done in some tutorials, though it is not considered a good choice most of the time.

However, it's not really reasonable for me to single handedly try and change the way you run your channel. We're most likely the minority. I still love your content and look forward to more in the future regardless of music :)
While we may have used rock music inappropriately in some videos, we thought GYARU style would get valorized by such a style. Gyaru is most of the time associated with Dubstep and electronic dance music (which was judged too powerful and was not fitting well Arisa's, so we chose rock because it was softer and not overwhelming in comparison). The video featuring black diamond to be released next week has Black Diamond's new single as the music, it is not rock, but it is far more overwhelming... ^^;;
Ah that does make sense. Sadly gyaru is a Japanese style I know little about, so I didn't realise it's associated with that kind of music! Thank you for clearing that up ^_^
