- Not the worst start for a trip after finishing college and into town for the evening and at least I had a DB250 to enjoy than a E400
You join me on 4753 on the 47 to Leicester from South Wigston, this section was filmed in the Wigston Magna area, it was a good thing I filmed this when I did as soon as I left passed Wigston Magna the bus got full the max full of school kids and university students where I was stuck in the corner at the back to the point I could barely breathe, I'm surprised I made it out alive, for once I could actually film something where my bus is not full or with noisy kids onboard
With some news now and First Leicester have confirmed they are getting 86 brand new electrics to phase out the whole of their diesel fleet which means goodbye to those Streetdecks and Streetlites but bringing in more Streetdecks (yay)
Arriva in High Wycombe have withdrawn 4748 following potential engine failure, now only 4749 remains in service there while Arriva in Leicester have brought 4761 back to life probably parts taken from 4768 and 4769
But anyways with all this electric stuff coming in the city and the DB250s leaving in November begs the question will I continue with my bus enthusiasm with Leicester, the chances are that from November and beyond I may go off from being a Leicester based bus enthusiast but that's a maybe, we'll see in due course to what these electrics will be like but the only sort of things I'll do with Leicester buses is events, only time will tell.
cool!
I don’t see myself continuing into this electric world.
Neither do I, I'll find it boring without any engine noise.
They can catch fire to heat easily too which is worrying for the future
@@LJ07EBP I fear that's what will happen when we get our Streetdeck Electroliners.
Will the 86 Electrics replace the 12 plate E400's too?
Yes everything that is diesel will be going.
First now have charging stations and have a wright GB kite electric bus it hink it's called
Yes they are known as GB Kites or StreetKites, either one of the two.
