Unless you are modifying an existing system, you are supposed to lock all of the circuits before changing a circuit's pipe size ("fix all" function). If you don't do this, all of the other circuit pipe sizes can change to work around the pipe size you just fixed. Always click "fix-all" after running the system initially. When printing the file to PDF, I've experienced that certain details of the system can be missing if the system isn't fully "fixed" before printing. Also, on liquid lines, the software will certainly select pipe sizes with velocities above 1m/s - 200 ft/min (usually up to 1.5m/s - 300 ft/min), and so when using pulsed valves such as AKVs, you need to manually check all of the velocities and adjust the pipe sizes accordingly. Danfoss state 1m/s max for the local liquid velocity. This is really only necessary on terminal circuits where the expansion valves are. Main headers can go to 1.5m/s without issue.
Thank you for the presentation. I'm glad this old piece of software is going to get refreshed.
