    I just wanted to thank you for this video. I'm pretty computer savvy (I'm a [retired] developer), but fredo6's Animator plugin had me bamboozled. You did an excellent job of narrowing down this video to the absolute minimum of essentials, without getting bogged down in all the options. Believe me, I know how hard that is to do, so I wanted you to know I appreciate the effort!
    Once I made a couple of animations of my own, a lot of the other options just seemed to come naturally. There's still plenty to learn, and I know you have other videos I'll want to peruse, but at least I got started.
    If I remember (and I probably won't), when I get the video out I'm working on that includes the animations, I'll let you know just so you can see what you helped with. Thanks again.

    I find it great to see my models being put to good use. Thank you so much for crediting me for my models (Paulwall account). You can use my work any time you want to. Great videos! A lot of these models are quite old and were built before I knew how to make components or groups so I admire the patience it took to make this nice animation with moving parts.

    Any tips for smoother playback, it's basically acts as stop motion as it plays back now?
    And even though I've hid the second floor and roof the playback is noting like yours in the video, same house model though.
    I have textures and transparency turned off.

    IS there a way to animate a single object with a fixed camera? like ... a car moving towards the camera, then past the camera , as the camera pans and follows it moving away?

    • @Thesketchupessentials
      @Thesketchupessentials  5 лет назад +1

      Sure - just animate the car and add different camera views where you want them. Animator should automatically animate the transition

    Hey justin, great video! Thanks for share this. I wanna ask, how if i want to make a isometric gif but with the arch. Components moved (like rotating doors, folded window, etc), please help 🙏

      Well I'd export a video showing what you want then use a GIF converter...

    How to apply this in enscape?

  • @purebeaux742
    @purebeaux742 5 лет назад

    I'm seeing some potential here for combining Animator with Enscape. Unfortunately, you can't just record a video natively within the Enscape window (you have to use their video editor) but with a little magic from OBS (recording the screen your Enscape window is on) and syncing your SketchUp view with Enscape it might work? I've always wanted to have animated doors in my rendered walk-throughs.
    You'd also have to do some stuff in post like removing the Enscape window border.
    Thoughts?

      I don't see how this would work - Enscape wouldn't animate the transitions, which is what would make this kind of animation work. If you were ok with your door just flashing closed then flashing open, it might work, but it wouldn't show your door moving...
