Watching these has sparked me to replay this gem of game. For a game that came out Bethesda-buggy, the devs deserve more than praise for not giving in to all the critics and working past the negativity to deliver one of the best RPG’s out there. I fell victim to modern hand-holding and current “follow the yellow marker” trope and nearly hated this game when I first played it. The combat was HARD and felt like a mess initially, but I came back to it months and patches later and found out I was (mostly) to blame because of the aforementioned mindset that current games trained me to get used to. Luckily, when I came back I had more patience and realized what a godsend this was to the genre and for gaming in general. I think this helped spark a new light into games that resonates to this day in how developers can use more freedom to make games worthy of feeling actually accomplished when successful, using our actual brains and emotions to do so and the appreciation that inevitably follows when things are done the way Warhorse Studios allowed us to do them. Your videos help showcase that love and passion, both on the developer’s and gamer’s side of that proverbial fence. Stick to this format, please, so the Tik Tok movement becomes the fad it should be instead of the standard norm it’s becoming. ❤️
What you talk about is precisely why I consider this game to be a classic. So few games actually have more than a straight forward fetch-type quests that what this game did, despite knowing that most people would never see much of it, needed to be highlighted. Unfortunately I do have to have a mix of types of video because of the way YT works but I'd love it if deeper looks like this got the same popularity as shorts and the like.

I first played on ps4 and gave it 7\10 on first release.so buggy. now replaying on pc with dlc and on hardcore and addicted 10\10. diving deeper into missions and options. love and knowlege of the history help; your channels the only hand holding i require. the role playing is the best touch. i wish i could more but takes super knowlege of the game. i only role play san andreas hahah

It might be a complicated one. Since there are options for dealing Hare. That is arrest him or clear his name or him dying. Unless there will be something like in Mass Effect to indicate your choices there might be a plot hole. Same with Ulrich. I'd say there either has to be some sort of a quiz to record your choices if you want these kind of characters to have a comeback or don't use these characters at all. I doubt Warhorse will copy ME, though I wish they did.

Yes, and it was just random, people rarely go to Huntsman for anything, if they do they go to Rattay, and you dont know even what you getting into since it looks just as some random help sidequest. I got into that quest because i wanted Huntsman for Prybislavic and he was listed as potentional candidate
I've been dressing henry with really good armors and clothes, now I want to try farmer henry when roaming around the world while doing side quest. What I love about this game is that you can start a quest which can open up to other quest lines. Base on how you investigate and do things in order you might get different outcomes.

I’ve finished the game twice, and played through half of it the 3rd time, I role played as both honourable Henry, and as the ‘killing people for their food is morally grey area’ Henry. It still baffles me with how much effort goes into these videos. And how much information you put into the description. And how much searching you do in game to do all this for one video and you still only hit about 55 views. I haven’t seen such quality content ina while. This is also my favorite quest in the game. Mainly because I just absolutely adore hanekin. Gives me Robin Hood vibes. Anyway a lovely video, and I learned sooo much I didn’t already know about this quest even though it was my favorite!

The views are low but not entirely unexpected because I'm addressing an older game, i.e. interest is relatively low, there's already a lot of competing material out there for it, and this is a new channel. RUclips is slowly recommending my videos so I get a person going through the entire playlist fairly regularly .. so I'm keeping a long-term perspective, views will slowly accumulate as time passes.
Apologies for the length on just the single side-quest. This is a pretty massive one and I tried to edit things so that the key points weren't lost. If I included all dialogue on full length it would have been hours long!

This was a cool quest and a good video, the length was fine, people can watch dialogue on 2x speed or skip it. My only one comment is that it misses what I'd call the good ending, where if you explore enough dialogue and side quests with the characters, you can learn Hare's story through the rumours first, and then in the end agree to believe his version of events, which fails that quest to arrest him and puts you on a new quest line where hare proves his innocence, the huntman flees for his cover up, and you're awarded the huntman position in Talmberg.
I absolutely love this game. I have finished it twice normally (stealing, murdering, money, but also moral decisions). Now I want to start a christian Henry - no robbing, no stealing, no unnecessary kills, no poaching, humble life. Then I want to try an asshole Henry: shooting people with poison on arrows, poison on blades, killing from the back, betraying, doing everything for money
Yeah, you have to get told that he goes dicing. I personally find that pretty dirty and I prefer to fist fight him fair and square if i go with that option.

@@wackyiowa724 Unfortunately YT's designed around daily type content, which is a mistake IMHO, so if you're not uploading something regularly that's related to the topic of the day then the reality is that you're going to find growth *really* bad. The only channels that can avoid that are the ones that have millions of subs already. If I'm being honest there's also the fact that when I watch my earlier videos I see so many things I could've done better, e.g. narration, pacing, etc. My latest Fallout 76 videos in my dedicated guides channel are picking up some steam, but even then you can see how YT's algorithm "plays" around with videos in order to categorize them .. same exact video in this channel gets a tenth of the views ..
Unfortunately buying one doesn't seem to work. It could be a bug but it's probably intended. I'm guessing that experienced hunters can tell when antlers are fresh and the game is simulating that.
I got this quest after becoming bailiff of Preby. So, I turned it down. I wasn't going to take the effort I put into building the town, just to throw it away .
There is a way to avoid arresting Hare and actually help him, I believe you need to explore all of the side quest branches first, trigger all of the characters to give you vital information about the whole story, one of them includes Nicholas's wife who eventually admits what was going on. You ask her to hang the wreath and it triggers the ability to go and meet Hare, but instead of arresting him, if you hear his story out and believe him in the final dialogue, you don't engage in combat. You fail the Hare side quest but it starts another to essentially prove his innocence and get Nicholas to confess his part in everything. I believe then hare is let free, he's reassigned a new position under a different master and you're offered the position as replacement huntsman for Talmberg which you can deny, but if you accept you get a new home/bed location, and you get a unique hunting perk which means no meat is ever marked as stolen again from hunting in the forests.

You remember the mission where you have the option to steal the wages of the men of the quarry for your friends Mathew and Fritz? I could never do it. In the end I killed them. Wish there was a way you could talk them out of it.
You can't talk them out of it, but in my video I showed a roleplaying way to make sure nobody gets robbed. Basically you steal the money at Talmberg, leave 3k gold (exactly the amount you're stealing), and pick pocket the 3k off Matthew and Fritz when they're sleeping. Nobody gets robbed, nobody dies, and (technically) the quarry workers get paid. But IMHO the quest is intended to make you choose between siding with the two rascals or letting them die. If you do nothing, i.e. play it neutral, they'll die anyway when they rush the quarry. They're determined to get rich or die trying.

Man I wish I found this video before I finished the quest... I thought I was so thorough with my quest playthrough but it seems like the better route would have been to infiltrate the camp and side with hare rather than just meeting him by the old birch tree
I prefer the dawn meeting because it avoids the fight. It's all good and well to have an issue with Nicholas, and I do!, but having the fight happen involves people (either the guards or the poachers) getting killed. Especially in the case of the guards, they're just doing their job and it's Nicholas manipulating the situation.

@@mob5613 There is that, I agree. Personally I use house rules where I can't loot armour for because you can't just take off someone's armour (weapons are allowed though) in an instant. It's more realistic that way IMHO.

Master Hunter of Talmburg, Tourneyment Champion of Rattay Bailiff of pribyslavitz Man at Arms in Sir Radzigs army baseborn of Skalitz (bastard of a noble and commoner) Bandit Hunter Cuman Killer. I normally roleplay as the 3 jobs, Bailiff of pribyslavitz, Master Hunstman of Talmburg and the Tourneyment Champion of rattay.
@@mustangunique3214 Yeah it works in the latest version as I did this to finish the quest, there's 2 people in Rattay that sell them, the alchemist shop where you normally buy herbs/reagents. And I believe the tanner in the same town. Makes it much easier because otherwise you need the huntsman perk where deer drop antlers which takes a lot of leveling up prior.
Is this quest available before you go and speak with sir Radzig about his lost sword? I want to roleplay as an honest Henry so I guess there's no chance of poaching, right?
There's an option where after you kidnap Margaret you can tell Hare that she's a bitch, I was wanting to click it but I didn't and my last save was a while before that, I wonder what happens when you say that? Lol
Cyberpunk has its own manner of choice, you choose how to resolve quests via stealth or combat or a mix of the two. I do wish that the city had more dynamic content than the combat focus it has.

I don't believe Hare's story. Because Marget going for Nicholas instead of Hare is unbelievable. Hare said himself, he's a noble and a master huntsman. Meanwhile, Nicholas is just a random dude. Hare even looks better than Nicholas (no offense). It doesn't Suprise me that they had a three way relationship, but Marget going with Nicholas's side is. You may say that Sir Divish trusting Hare is evidence for Hare's innocence, but I don't trust it. He doesn't know about the adultery Henry commits with Lady Stephene of Talmberg, he gets kidnapped by and lost his youth, and his wife ended up costing him his castle. He is a good guy, but besides the intro, he's shown to be incompetent in the game. It's very mean words, I wish I can say this in a better way, but, in comparison, Radzig only got kidnapped as a goof, Sir Hanush doesn't do anything bad in the main quest (I need to get through his side quests, but from what I seen he isn't shown to be dumb). Only Divish gets hoodwinked, multiple times. And finally, trusting a friend, even if he's a smart judge of character, vs the other evidence, is unlikely. I trust my own gut instincts, not another. Finally, the fact that he's willing to kill guards who were 100% innocent of this whole affair, had zero part in it, shows me that he's ruthless. I thought the game wasn't going to acknowledge it, but Black Lunish got sick and wanted no part of this anymore. What I believe what happened is that Hare asked Marget to cover for him after he killed him. I don't believe it was a purposeful death, they might have gotten into a fight and he accidently killed him. He then asked Marget to cover for him, but she refused because Nicholas cares about her and that she doesn't want to lie about that. Unless we found out that Hare has been cheating/sleeping with other girls and/or treated Marget badly, I see no reason that Marget would betray Nicholas. Nicholas is a slimy bastard, however, and so he took advantage of the chaos to got himself to promotion. Hell, he may have exaggerated what was a fight that ended in death, to cold blooded murder. I haven't played the game enough, sorry if my theory has holes, and sorry for disrespecting Sir Divish. He's a good guy, and I feel bad for stealing his stuff, cucking him and now killing his hunstman. I have peace of mind to know, at least, his huntsman was bad: Henry will do much better
By the way mate, you should lower your resolution and find the correct graphics setting so you have good fps, i think you can run this game higher on fps, and i have lower graphics than you, and mines does look better and run faster. Just for help
Yeah, I'm running on the highest graphics setings including HD textures. It looks great on cutscenes but if you look at the earliest videos I was playing on mostly low with some medium settings and it doesn't look that much worse.
@@SequentialGamer_KCD Yep thats it, by lowering resolution but still making fit your screen nicely, you boost fps so much, and shaders and shadows also take so much graphics and doesnt looks so much better. :D
You should keep an eye out on the map for the exclamation marks for quests or the stars to speak to the innkeeper. There'll be a point where you can speak to the innkeeper at Talmberg and that'll lead you to the Huntsmaster.
I'm so disappointed I did master hunts man so I would have a home for Theresa. I don't even have a real bed !! House is useless. Not even an alchemy bench !! Love the game but disappointed ☹️
There's many ways to finish it, so depending on which part bugged out you can still complete it. For example, you can always go to the poacher's camp manually.
Hare Hunt was broken for me and wouldn't start so I just had to complete Sheep in Wolves clothing. Would have rather liked to avoid the fight with the guards. Also missed out on all the sleuth work with the townsfolk, charcoal-burner
Hmm, that's unfortunate, sorry to hear that - this quest is one of the best ones so it's a shame that you couldn't do the investigation. One of the patches a while back broke the quest too when it spawned NPCs far up in the air and dropped them to their deaths. That was the only bug I'd consider "game breaking" across all the versions and they've since fixed it.
This quest was so complex I screwed. The game told me: "go meet hare in the morning", then while I was traveling to the meeting point I got a failure state. Anyway, now Nicholas amd Hare are nowhere to be found and there is always a guard around his house, even if I kill him, a new guard is spawned. The ending of the quest, as seen in this video, was pretty underwhelming, though. Johanka's and Sir Kuno's endings were really strong, I still think about them.
You should’ve shown getting Margaret to come with you willingly. If you pass a speech check she will confess that they made everything up because she didn’t want to marry Hare. I’m pretty sure this is the only evidence that Hare is not guilty of the murder.
In earlier patches you could get her to come willingly but that's was removed, I wish you could still do it but the speech option isn't there any more. You can get her to confess when you pass the speech check to get her to confess that she did see Hare recently.

Mini drama on it's own . Amazing ! Great game . I was so caught up in this one side quest , for hours , like mini tv drama .

LOL, both are viable and the game does play best when you play it with a theme in mind.
This is overall just a great quest. many ways to go about it, A nice sidestory and a good reward.

@@wackyiowa724 Unfortunately YT's designed around daily type content, which is a mistake IMHO, so if you're not uploading something regularly that's related to the topic of the day then the reality is that you're going to find growth *really* bad. The only channels that can avoid that are the ones that have millions of subs already.
If I'm being honest there's also the fact that when I watch my earlier videos I see so many things I could've done better, e.g. narration, pacing, etc. My latest Fallout 76 videos in my dedicated guides channel are picking up some steam, but even then you can see how YT's algorithm "plays" around with videos in order to categorize them .. same exact video in this channel gets a tenth of the views ..

Unfortunately buying one doesn't seem to work. It could be a bug but it's probably intended. I'm guessing that experienced hunters can tell when antlers are fresh and the game is simulating that.
I got this quest after becoming bailiff of Preby. So, I turned it down. I wasn't going to take the effort I put into building the town, just to throw it away .

There is a way to avoid arresting Hare and actually help him, I believe you need to explore all of the side quest branches first, trigger all of the characters to give you vital information about the whole story, one of them includes Nicholas's wife who eventually admits what was going on. You ask her to hang the wreath and it triggers the ability to go and meet Hare, but instead of arresting him, if you hear his story out and believe him in the final dialogue, you don't engage in combat. You fail the Hare side quest but it starts another to essentially prove his innocence and get Nicholas to confess his part in everything. I believe then hare is let free, he's reassigned a new position under a different master and you're offered the position as replacement huntsman for Talmberg which you can deny, but if you accept you get a new home/bed location, and you get a unique hunting perk which means no meat is ever marked as stolen again from hunting in the forests.

You remember the mission where you have the option to steal the wages of the men of the quarry for your friends Mathew and Fritz? I could never do it. In the end I killed them.
Wish there was a way you could talk them out of it.
You can't talk them out of it, but in my video I showed a roleplaying way to make sure nobody gets robbed. Basically you steal the money at Talmberg, leave 3k gold (exactly the amount you're stealing), and pick pocket the 3k off Matthew and Fritz when they're sleeping. Nobody gets robbed, nobody dies, and (technically) the quarry workers get paid.
But IMHO the quest is intended to make you choose between siding with the two rascals or letting them die. If you do nothing, i.e. play it neutral, they'll die anyway when they rush the quarry. They're determined to get rich or die trying.

Man I wish I found this video before I finished the quest... I thought I was so thorough with my quest playthrough but it seems like the better route would have been to infiltrate the camp and side with hare rather than just meeting him by the old birch tree
I prefer the dawn meeting because it avoids the fight. It's all good and well to have an issue with Nicholas, and I do!, but having the fight happen involves people (either the guards or the poachers) getting killed.
Especially in the case of the guards, they're just doing their job and it's Nicholas manipulating the situation.

@@mob5613 There is that, I agree. Personally I use house rules where I can't loot armour for because you can't just take off someone's armour (weapons are allowed though) in an instant. It's more realistic that way IMHO.

I've tried this in earlier versions and both buying and stealing existing antlers didn't work. Maybe it works now.

@@mustangunique3214 Yeah it works in the latest version as I did this to finish the quest, there's 2 people in Rattay that sell them, the alchemist shop where you normally buy herbs/reagents. And I believe the tanner in the same town. Makes it much easier because otherwise you need the huntsman perk where deer drop antlers which takes a lot of leveling up prior.

No, it's after. I did all the quests you could do before going to Radzig, new ones appear after you progress the main quest.
There's an option where after you kidnap Margaret you can tell Hare that she's a bitch, I was wanting to click it but I didn't and my last save was a while before that, I wonder what happens when you say that? Lol

I had to pass a speech check, but IIRC digging deeper around the village gives you clues that you can use to pressure her.

Cyberpunk has its own manner of choice, you choose how to resolve quests via stealth or combat or a mix of the two. I do wish that the city had more dynamic content than the combat focus it has.
@@SequentialGamer_KCD what are you talking about cyberpunk only has 1 mission that dynamic like kcd in the intro the rest of the game is all straight forward with different ending decided by your relationship with Johnny, and the side quest you choose to finish.

I don't believe Hare's story. Because Marget going for Nicholas instead of Hare is unbelievable. Hare said himself, he's a noble and a master huntsman. Meanwhile, Nicholas is just a random dude. Hare even looks better than Nicholas (no offense). It doesn't Suprise me that they had a three way relationship, but Marget going with Nicholas's side is. You may say that Sir Divish trusting Hare is evidence for Hare's innocence, but I don't trust it. He doesn't know about the adultery Henry commits with Lady Stephene of Talmberg, he gets kidnapped by and lost his youth, and his wife ended up costing him his castle. He is a good guy, but besides the intro, he's shown to be incompetent in the game. It's very mean words, I wish I can say this in a better way, but, in comparison, Radzig only got kidnapped as a goof, Sir Hanush doesn't do anything bad in the main quest (I need to get through his side quests, but from what I seen he isn't shown to be dumb). Only Divish gets hoodwinked, multiple times. And finally, trusting a friend, even if he's a smart judge of character, vs the other evidence, is unlikely. I trust my own gut instincts, not another. Finally, the fact that he's willing to kill guards who were 100% innocent of this whole affair, had zero part in it, shows me that he's ruthless. I thought the game wasn't going to acknowledge it, but Black Lunish got sick and wanted no part of this anymore.
What I believe what happened is that Hare asked Marget to cover for him after he killed him. I don't believe it was a purposeful death, they might have gotten into a fight and he accidently killed him. He then asked Marget to cover for him, but she refused because Nicholas cares about her and that she doesn't want to lie about that. Unless we found out that Hare has been cheating/sleeping with other girls and/or treated Marget badly, I see no reason that Marget would betray Nicholas. Nicholas is a slimy bastard, however, and so he took advantage of the chaos to got himself to promotion. Hell, he may have exaggerated what was a fight that ended in death, to cold blooded murder.
I haven't played the game enough, sorry if my theory has holes, and sorry for disrespecting Sir Divish. He's a good guy, and I feel bad for stealing his stuff, cucking him and now killing his hunstman. I have peace of mind to know, at least, his huntsman was bad: Henry will do much better

Maybe they've patched it since but it used to be the case that you had to get fresh ones from a hunt.
By the way mate, you should lower your resolution and find the correct graphics setting so you have good fps, i think you can run this game higher on fps, and i have lower graphics than you, and mines does look better and run faster. Just for help
Yeah, I'm running on the highest graphics setings including HD textures. It looks great on cutscenes but if you look at the earliest videos I was playing on mostly low with some medium settings and it doesn't look that much worse.
@@SequentialGamer_KCD Yep thats it, by lowering resolution but still making fit your screen nicely, you boost fps so much, and shaders and shadows also take so much graphics and doesnt looks so much better. :D

You should keep an eye out on the map for the exclamation marks for quests or the stars to speak to the innkeeper. There'll be a point where you can speak to the innkeeper at Talmberg and that'll lead you to the Huntsmaster.

I'm so disappointed I did master hunts man so I would have a home for Theresa. I don't even have a real bed !! House is useless. Not even an alchemy bench !! Love the game but disappointed ☹️
What does a huntsman need an alchemy table for?
This quest is bugged out for me.
There's many ways to finish it, so depending on which part bugged out you can still complete it. For example, you can always go to the poacher's camp manually.
This quest fucking sucks an is super buggy was the reason i put this game down an had to come back to it awhile later
Hare Hunt was broken for me and wouldn't start so I just had to complete Sheep in Wolves clothing. Would have rather liked to avoid the fight with the guards. Also missed out on all the sleuth work with the townsfolk, charcoal-burner
Hmm, that's unfortunate, sorry to hear that - this quest is one of the best ones so it's a shame that you couldn't do the investigation.
One of the patches a while back broke the quest too when it spawned NPCs far up in the air and dropped them to their deaths. That was the only bug I'd consider "game breaking" across all the versions and they've since fixed it.
This quest was so complex I screwed. The game told me: "go meet hare in the morning", then while I was traveling to the meeting point I got a failure state. Anyway, now Nicholas amd Hare are nowhere to be found and there is always a guard around his house, even if I kill him, a new guard is spawned. The ending of the quest, as seen in this video, was pretty underwhelming, though. Johanka's and Sir Kuno's endings were really strong, I still think about them.

You should’ve shown getting Margaret to come with you willingly. If you pass a speech check she will confess that they made everything up because she didn’t want to marry Hare. I’m pretty sure this is the only evidence that Hare is not guilty of the murder.
In earlier patches you could get her to come willingly but that's was removed, I wish you could still do it but the speech option isn't there any more.
You can get her to confess when you pass the speech check to get her to confess that she did see Hare recently.
