When the magic of soaring meets the expertise of the cinema... Marvellous 🥰
Fantastic colours , filming and spectacular flying. I was so glad to find your channel via Captain Joe video. 🙂👍
ASMR. Genau so mag ich entspannende Videos. Ruhige Bilder, keine Sprache, Bildgewaltig.
Mach bitte immer wieder mal solche Videos ❤
DUDE. Stefan! Your video quality and editing is getting profoundly impressive. Your mind must be on fire with ideas for these videos. This is a beautiful example of soaring advertising (and of course the lenses haha!).
It also reminds me of the Lowe DG500 video sequence. I wish I could have redone it with my DG505 lol excellent excellent remix of that classic video, if that was some of the inspiration here. Thank you for sharing, once again!
That is a Cinematic Masterpiece!
Oh how the heart sings with vision like this.
Wow. Just, wow.
World class pilot becoming a world class ambassador for the sport!, keep the great work up!
pity he's not a working class disabled female from an ethnic minority though - just compounding the impression that only privileged male WASP's can be involved in the sport and do well......... unless the sport gets more inclusive it will die.....
Superb, the shot at 1:20 is brilliant
Einfach nur fantastisch !!!
This quality paired with some amazing shots is amazing, bravo
I'd watch 3 hours of this in the cinema.. amazing.
Absolute cinematic beauty.
Stefan, I can picture myself sitting in the cinema, watching this as a documentary of a life and career in gliding - on the big screen. This is marvellous!
That was a blast
Magnificent! Wow, you have proven how incredible your artistic ability is! Beautiful beyond words....... T.
Cinema feeling😊
Best short video yet.
pretty cool SteFly - remember though the audience is still pretty small, you'll never be a big star. But to the ordinary soaring enthusiast, your definitely quite a badass.
Wahnsinns Aufnahmen, Hammer! Mehr davon!
goosebumps @1:17 Awesome, this video can make soaring mainstream. Thanks Stefan!
Wow, a complete new level of advertising our great sport. Well done!
YOOOOOOOO thats beautiful!❤❤❤
Very nice Stefan. With such cinematic video you look like a top gun pilot. Keep up the good work! :)
Stefan, Top Gun oder James Bond, so fantastisch ist Dein Video !!!
The picture is just awesome
Fantastic!

Andrea
insane!!
EPIC!
amazing !
Was für schöne Aufnahmen.
Das ist ja insane. Kurz mal neue Maßstäbe für Segelflugvideos gesetzt.
This exactly this
Awsome
Very nice cinematic edit!
This is pure flexing. Great cinematics!
Mega nices Video
Sehr cooles Video. Mega Aufnahmen und echt schön geschnitten. Danke Stefan
Beautiful!
Amazing film, just need a longer version 🙂
Majestic 🤩
You make a Blockbuster out of gliding! What a great video, still having goosebumps! ;)
This is so sick! Absolutely love it
stunning!
First time commenting, but i had to. This video is mind blowing !
But Stefan, you are not in the alps, you are in Narromine.😂 I saw you 15 minutes ago.
Great video never the less
voila cinema
No such thing as Stefan flying too close to the sun! Go Stefan go!!!
Hervorragendes Video, sogar besser als die Werbung für Segelflugzeuge!
Reminds a bit to some Interstellar scenes when leaving with the the car and the camara is pointing backwards. Brilliant.
That was lovely :)
Maja aa gaya . Gajab cinematography .
Freaking epic!
Awesome Stefan! Thanks for sharing :)
1:00 "I never said it was water..."
Amazing video. Captures the essence of flying with a very emotional touch!
ufff soo geil geworden😲😍
Awesome !
Wow
Amazing
Wzór !!!
Absolutely cinematic! If this is an ads collaboration with the lens company, it does the job really well :D What about having another video showing how the filming was set up? like the size of the lens, chasing plane etc.

I'd love to know where it was shot in the Alps, exactly. Amazing footage.
This video is making me buy a anamorphic lens for my gopro 😂
sehr schöne Aufnahmen!!! leider etwas kurz *sniff* ;)
♥♥♥♥♥
Better footage than top gun
think u need to get one of those lens's
😢I want fly💔
Nice shot better than cinemascope.
But i did not know that sailplanes lay chemtrails. Lol.
H2O is chemical, isn't it? 😊🇫🇷
👍
Sec 23 Looks Like an Anime.
Could bei a Movie
Hey Stefan, I love watching your videos soaring in the Alps. BUT!! do you perhaps have a full uninterrupted video of your flight: Lowlevel Glider Chase | Westcoast New Zealand. Could you perhaps dump the entire uninterrupted video on RUclips (you may just capture more ad revenue). That video was/is simply unbelievable I feel like I could sit and watch the entire couple hours of flight that you flew from start to finish.
"promo sm"
Unfortunately your videos, while spectacular, give the impression that only spoilt playboy types able to be indulged in perpetual luxury are what gliding is about --that may be true for very wealthy Europeans globe trotting here and there to savour multi million dollar experiences and upload it to social media (social influencers are a recent phenomenon to promte the lifestyles of the rich --growing up in a semi desert with relatively primitive wood and fabric gliders, launching and driving old winch'bombs' as teenagers happy (and lucky) to get a five minute circuit or later spend hours sweating it out in the same low level aircraft and with frequent failed attempts (outlandings in hot dusty paddocks) before eventually achieving something that FELT like a real feat ( I flew my 500 km triangle diamond in the club Ka6 after having ridden my bicycle nine miles to the airfield , washed and prepared the glider, smoked a barograph and even laid out my own cable --nine hours later after several low scrapes I made it back --with a feeling of accomplishment now lacking in your 'routine' ho hum 1000 km sorties. I built those fibreglass superships in Germany (and flew them there ) and repaired many broken ones since but still feel that the ease and sense of entitlement they convey only portray a very elitist and untypical aspect of gliding . Some of the very rich overseas glider pilots we get here (Australia) come across as crass and self indulgent unfortunately --it is not all like that --viewers should note this.
Get professional help! I'm sure there's therapists in your city. You NEED IT ASAP
Funnily enough I WAS trying to get 'professional help, last night for a psychotic maniac who had kicked in the back door of the 'share house' where I reside and had the police here with back up from the CAT (mental health emergency )team till after 1.00am -- sort of a contrast to 'Why you must go gliding in South Africa" (doesnt everybody?) or "Soaring in the french Alps" etc My design work nowadays concerns aircraft for mass use in suburban areas and capable also of soaring with power off or at dribble level giving "Eta performance' but also doing something societaly useful but rooted in sailplane technology to a fair degree. The field is called "urban air mobility' or "advanced air mobility' and has the object of not just bringing the benefits of air 'travel' to everyday problems like traffic congestion but also reversing the dying trend worldwide in both general aviation and more especially gliding ; something widely recognized and 'lamented' without offering any solutions.
Traipsing off to New Zealand or South Africa ,USA etc to further enjoy and broadcast your good fortune ,literally, on social media with endless selfies and so on might 'inspire' some priveleged young son of a wealthy businessman or doctor, real estate salesman or something similar (I see these over indulged private school kids on public transport in the upmarket area that I can only, and barely ,rent a room in and know the attitude very well ) but gliding HAS become a sport of conspicuous consumption, flaunting the harsh economic climate and with a sort of 'if they cannot afford bread, let them eat cake' ethos. Several decades ago at parliamentary hearings into sport aviation (Melbourne Australia, HORSCOTS report ...) representatives of the gliding federation here painted a picture for the politicians of how wonderfully advanced gliders now were and how many glider pilots were professionals like airline pilots, surgeons and the like and that their aircraft cost as much as a small house. Very impressive stuff.
The first question asked by an MP was "if so why does gliding still need a subsidy from the public purse?" stunned silence . I was on soon after and used the opportunity to add a little perspective in passing mentioning my flying our family "Olympia' of 1938 design homebuilt in a back yard in 1948 and I paid for my flying by doing manual work in construction (but even so it cost me $25 in total to learn to fly @ 50 cents per launch and circuit -we had ten club members under 15 ,the min age for soloing . Then I made my presentation on vehicle design, potentials, regulatory barriers and outlined what has now emerged as a new approach to flight as a utility rather than amusement . I love the sensation of soaring for it's own sake ,won several championships etc but can also see that it is dying from the bottom up and had a number of those very wealthy owners as customers repairing or maintaining their hot ships.
50 years ago I concluded that there was no need for increasingly expensive and ever more sophisticated super sailplanes that had no 'output' other than personal indulgence (how can something that flies around for hours with the intention of delivering itself and it's well heeled pilot BACK to exactly where it started from (given that 'efficiency' is output/input by definition ) I observed the changing nature of gliding and the backwardness of lightaircraft design and began the path to creating a sort of 'everyman's airplane' long sought by the EAA . It would be wise to note the trend amongst the young particularly to condemn wastefulness in general and air travel specifically as unjustifiable excess (not Greta thunberg's influence ) -toning down the 'rich wunderkind' message would help ,not hinder the real interests of personal flight.@@wadfasfsdfdsfsf
