I love this commander deck so much, the combination of werid grouphug with a fun tribe that needs some love. A treasue package with Hellkite Tyrant, Old Gnawbone, and Dockside seems really good in this deck since you are already running the token doublers and people are more likely to have artifacts in play to benefit from.
Titania's song is crazy with this guy, "Each noncreature artifact loses all abilities and becomes an artifact creature with power and toughness each equal to its mana value." makes it so token artifacts die instantly, including the bananas, never giving your opponents an opportunity to tap them for mana.
Scoured the internet for deck techs of this guy the last month or so. Loved your idea of putting punishing fire in even though I was skeptical. Closed out a game by returning it to hand from the graveyard and hitting my last opponent in the face for two. It was glorious
Masked vandal does get counters for being an ape, but worth noting that it EXILES an artifact on etb, so the artifact does not go to the graveyard and does not trigger kibo
As to availability he is the launch day promo for jumpstart 2022 in alternate art foil. Check with your LGS. I plan to have a commander deck already in paper to play at the store after the event.
If I could find enough ways to make multiple bananas, I would put in the artifact pinging dudes from Baldur's and Kaladesh (or Æther Revolt?) along with Ghirapur Æther Grid. That, and there's an ogre from some Mirrodin set and a Dominaria (?) orc which can turn the bananas into deadly projectiles by throwing them really hard.
Another fun changeling that isn’t in your decklist is Realmwalker! Specially if you wanna lean more towards Ape or Monkey creature types. Gruul Monkey deck sounds fun! I specially like the idea of a monkey - fling themed deck lol
@@nickatwork Primal Vigor isn't necessarily Budget, but its half the price of Doubling Season. Ragavan doesn't really have a replacement unless you're just looking for the ability to exile cards and then play them.
another good card to add could be umbral mantle, if you pay three you get to y tap, AND get +2/+2 until end of turn, stack that with the bananas you save up, add stuff that generates extra bananas and you could prolly get infinite life and infinitely strong commander
im working on one myself because its so interesting to build around hurting yourself to get ahead. im going to make it a bit of a bully style deck called "Why are you hitting yourself" which works on a few levels where im hitting myself, but also stealing their creatures to hit them lol. im really excited to see what his take will be as he always comes up with really cool ideas i wouldnt have considered
Mycosinth Lattice would be awesome in this deck. And if you include Doubling season you have to include hardened scales ;D I think DS is a bit overrated, 5 mana cost in this deck just to get one more treasure doesnt sound like its worth it
Loving this, I really want to keep it apes and monkeys but so many of them are just soooo bad lmaoo...I'm imagining the monkeys and apes riding dragons and stuff now instead
No gorilla shaman? I mean I know he isn't the most effective artifact removal, but he can still do it more than once, adn without putting himself in danger.
Everyone seems to overlook Tuskguard Captain and the rest of the Outlast creatures when looking for ways to give creatures with counters on then extra abilities. Makes me sad.
definitely a nice alternative, but the ones he put are gives trample and fetches lands for the same mana cost and another that gives 2 counters and trample for less mana. but definitely a great consideration if you want to slot in one more
@@uhfrank duskmantle shell is cheaper, but if you arent blinking it, you lose some of the value. Tuskguard can keep growing on its own if you have an extra green mana laying around.

I keep seeing masked vandal in these decklist but it doesn't make sense to me since it EXILES opponents artifacts, they do not go into the GRAVEYARD. Am I missing something ?
minor mistake "Ich-Tekik" makes a phyrexian golem token not golem (he and the tokens got hit by the errata wave) other than that. Amazing deck tech on kibo
