    It was beautiful my going by tram in such a lovely day. After the old Treasury building museum, I was enjoying my walking in the Collins St, with its trees, during the summer and autumn days. Thank you for your nice video.

    Lived in Gilbert Road (between Cramer and Murray) for years and have no idea how many times I'd have caught this tram between 76 & 83 lol - the W class back then mainly. Always a great ride into town. A marked difference from moving from North Dandenong where there were just buses and of course the train into the city. Trams were a real novelty for me when we moved to West Preston in 1976.

      Just as a point of interest, I have bookmarked all of your tram videos - IMHO better than any official tourist video showcasing Melbourne. Just a quick question...I notice that most private dwellings along the tram routes seem to have fences or hedges fronting on the road. Is this the result of a city ordinance?

    Great video! I do like your channel, it's a nice opportunity to enjoy the views of Melbourne. It's very unusual to see how the rails end abruptly, I guess the driver just goes to the other end of the tram to drive it in the opposite direction? In Russia, at the end of the route there's a circular railway for trams to turn around.
    Greetings and many thanks from Siberia!

    • @Schony747
      @Schony747  5 лет назад +1

      Thank you 😀😀😀😀. Here in Melbourne there are no bubble loops at the end of the track. The driver just changes ends. All trams have a full drivers cab at each end for that purpose. Thanks for riding with me.

    I’ve noticed trams in Melbourne don’t have turnarounds and few have natural endings. The tram just ends with the road continuing with a tram line. Very odd, but still a great system.

    • @Schony747
      @Schony747  4 года назад

      No bubble loops in this system. There was one at Luna Park many years ago but that's long gone. All adjustments and terminus have crossovers or as drivers we just change ends. I think crossovers give so much more flexibility to adjust or change the tram service as required

    • @Schony747
      @Schony747  6 лет назад

      Yeah advertising has started appearing on the E class. It was only a matter of time. For years on St Georges Road there was a sewage upgrade inbetwen both tracks. Since then, there has been new landscaping and the whole area looks so much better now.

      It's not the safest especially with the amount of cars on the road these days. It's why platform stops which separate cars and trams.

      Schony747 because you’re driving around with your hazard lights on you moron and for no reason. Dragging the road a familiar term? You’re confusing people. You’re 250m from a stop flashing your lights. Are you turning? Is there an accident ahead? Who are you trying to warn and why? Do they need to be RE-tested for their drivers licenses, do they? You’re a threat to trans you idiot.

    Still employed because he's obviously been a good driver for many years, apart from his evil 'crime' of leaving his indicators on as you mentioned, and perhaps not editing out the long delays at intersections like trestelleg does, lol.
    But just out of curiosity, what are you doing on the computer anyway?? I didn't think that they allowed the inmates at the asylum access to the internet.

    • @Schony747

      I could probably edit it to make it shorter. E Class indicators stay on regardless when at stops and the sound can be a bit annoying for some. This was one of those trips where I was let loose from Southbank for a while

    Driving along with your emergency indicators on again. How are you still employed? Are you encouraging people onto the road when you’re not stationary so that they get run over and then state to the police after they’re in a wheelchair that ‘ the driver had their hazard lights on, so it was safe’?
