You'll never know how appreciated you are by the Elvis community ... it's obvious you understand the real man and his talent ! Thank you and merry Christmas !
Well, You're not just listening to music; you're experiencing a legend. It's amazing how his voice transcends genres, from rock 'n' roll to gospel, touching the soul in ways i can't explain. Have you noticed how his gospel songs seem to come from a place of pure passion? It’s like he’s channeling something divine.
I believe gospel was his way of proselyting many times the stamps open prior to him coming onto the stage.Gospel songs touched a wide range of people that may have not ever been exposed to gosple...
Elvis was the realisation of the American dream. A person with nothing but talent and drive could make it if they were prepared to work hard enough. What set Elvis apart was his generosity, sincerely and humbleness and the fact that he could couple traits with his immense talent. Elvis fans of a certain age will have lived through the constant ridicule of the uninformed for just being an Elvis fan and so as a community we welcome anyone who is trying to understand the life, talent and sheer magnetism of Elvis. Well done Mike and a Merry Christmas to you and your family
Hi Mike, almost from the beginning of your Elvis journey you became my favourite “reactioneer”. I have thoroughly enjoyed your amazing Elvis insights and musical knowledge. I look forward to continuing to follow you over the next 12 months and getting the chance to contribute to your body of knowledge about Elvis. 🧡
I agree completely. Mike is the best "reactor" I have experienced, and I have watched a large variety. No one is so clear, appreciative and his musical knowledge is amazing, he doesn't miss a thing in the performance. I look forward to each new reaction as well!
Hi Mike! I always look forward to your reactions on Elvis. I have also been a fan since I can remember. I thought Elvis was a wonderful actor, too, and not just his early filmsBlue Hawaii is one of my favorites, you really see his comedic talent. Also, his “ dance”scene “The walls have Ears” in Girls, Girls, Girls, is amazing, and has a funny story behind it. Elvis had great comedic timing as well as an ability for dramatic acting-which, as you pointed out, he uses onstage to connect with his audience. When you went to see Elvis you got it ALL through him! Also, his connection with his band and the fact that he so enjoyed their musical gifts-that is why, though I appreciate Elvis tribute artists-there will never be one that can do him justice because of all those various elements he embodied-his Voice, his humor, his relationships with band and fans, his humility, his vulnerability, his ability to connect with the music and be, as you say, a conduit, his love (scarves, handshakes, meeting with ill children backstage and onstage, and kisses), his generosity, his perfectionism (his band members say he always said, my fans pay to come and see us, we need to give them our best-he would start songs over if he heard an errant note etc), his looks, his walk, his moves, his amazing like no other smile, his soul. God gave us a gift in Elvis that always causes me to think what a great God we have who would create such a beautiful creation-like a sunset. Elvis wasn’t perfect, but in his weaknesses, you see his trust in Jesus the one he called the true King. I wasn’t raised in a Christian home and I first heard the gospel of Jesus through Elvis-the song “If That Isn’t Love”. That would be a wonderful song to listen to as we celebrate Christmas. Happy Christmas, Mike and family! TCB!
I also want to add my many thanks & appreciation for your articulate & humble comments on Elvis. As an huge Elvis fan, today December 7th is when Pearl Harbor was attacked & it changed the world & what many people may not know that when the Pearl Harbor memorial was being built & they ran out of donations to complete, Elvis was asked to perform a concert & gladly he did. With the funds from the concert, the beautiful memorial to honor our service men was completed 💞 wishing you Mike & your family a Very Merry Christmas 🎄
Thank you for really getting Elvis. The implication that he wasn't a complete artist because he didn't write songs really p##### me off. The best actors don't write their own words. He was a master interpreter of songs. He took songs and made them his own. I was 15 when he died & was devastated that I never got a chance to see him live because he didn't come to the UK. Thanks, CTP! My dad's siblings were fans & I can't remember a time when I didn't love his music. In the 70s they released his Sun records on an LP & I got to appreciate the raw Elvis. Wow, that was amazing. I can't imagine a day when I don't have his music in my head. Having a different song as my alarm sound is a good way to start, of course. Sunday is "Do you know who I am". In his vast range of songs, I can always find ones that suit my mood. Thank you, Elvis! You had your doubts, but you will never be forgotten.
It’s been a pleasure to listen to all your amazing reaction. Time flies. It’s been already a year. Keep up your intelligent and down to earth reaction to the KING. More power to you 💕💕💕💕
I second the comments on this video, you have been a breath of fresh air in the vast world on RUclips reactions. You always bring great insights and analysis with sincere generosity. I believe your respect for the fantastic Elvis is very much appreciated by all of us (his fans). I always look forward to your next video, I hope to be here with you for another year. Thank you!
I suppose your publication should be presented to the media, these same media are still building the myth of the 70s. Even a category of fans break the Elvis of this period. You have a very thorough analysis and reflection and you have seen what there was to see and not what is « taught ». Elvis would be happy and proud to hear you, he who had the simple, but truly difficult and demanding ambition, to entertain and make people happy.
👏👏👏 Thank you, as always, a wonderful, thoughtful and intelligent analysis of the phenomenon of Elvis Presley. I'm looking forward to new videos and wonderful songs😊
An insightful and articulate unpacking of Elvis. Many fans - like myself - can forget what it was like on first hearing Elvis. I was 9 years old and of-course was unable to articulate why Elvis was so great. The highly complex description of what coffee tastes like is only possible to fully understand once you have actually tasted coffee and that’s exactly what you are doing with your reaction videos. A pleasure to watch - thankyou. You must watch Never Been To Spain from Elvis On Tour 1972 - you are missing out if you don’t.
Because you get into the real nitty gritty of each song and Elvis himself make your reviews fun and interesting, /thanks for the year and looking forward to another!!!
First time I’ve seen someone do a review of their reactions like this. It was very enjoyable, and refreshing to watch your self introspection. Many of the reactions of Elvis are so off point, and obviously insincere. I think some just know that they can get more, “clicks” with an Elvis reaction. Your initial myth analysis was spot on for many people who only had passing knowledge of him. As a young, “movie” Elvis fan, my appreciation for his talent grew , and evolved so much over the years. Look forward to following your reactions in the future! Thanks for sharing! TCB⚡️
Thank you for your heart felt thoughts on Elvis. He would have been so humble and thanked you from his heart. My reason for being an Elvis fan is because of his compassion on the needy. He visited the jail on Christmas Eve and took presents to the police working that day and thanked them for giving up being wirmth their families to be there to protect the people. He met with each prisoner and if they had families he took the family a Christmas tree and filled the tree with presents. If they were in possibility of being evicted he paid the rent until the man got out of jail. He bought food for them etc. until the man got out of jail. He believed the Bible when it says to visit those in jail. This was just a drop in the bucket of what Elvis did with his money he earned on those concerts. I am in awe of a man that does this. Most millionaires tell everyone else to give their money, but Elvis actually did it. When he died he was almost broke. They had to collect the money from his last concerts to pay the bill's. This man should be named a Saint. That is why this man is so loved by most if his fans. Thank you again. Elvis forever ❤❤❤
I love your reactions. You are honest and kind with your words and thoughts. You truly instinctively understand who Elvis is/was and express it in a way that makes this Elvis fan emotional, and thankful that I found your reactions 😊❤❤❤🎉🎉🩷🩷💜💜
Thank you so much for your sincere, intuitIve, understanding and brilliant commentaries on Elvis' performances. Elvis was like a friend in my youth and adult life since I discovered him 15 years young shortly after his passing in 1977. He is undescribable and a wonder. I am looking forward to many more of your reaction videos. THANK YOU!!!
i have 3 favorite elvis reactors, only 3 out of all them on here (and ive seen them all) & you are one of them mike!! im so happy i found your ch because of elvis thank you for sharing your incredible insight with us! i look forward to all incredible elvis still in store for you!! happy holidays to you & your family 🎀
I love your reactions to Elvis songs and videos - keep them coming - as he has done two Christmas albums can we have some more of these as the new year will be here soon and I love Christmastime 🎄☃❄🎁🎅
Love your channel Mike, congratulations on your first year with Elvis! It is super cool to listen to your comments on the man, like so many others, if I see your reaction on him I stop what I am doing and watch it straight away! I like how you represent Elvis with your spot on and knowledgeable comments, not only do we get to re live those performances but we get to witness your reaction for the first time which is almost a type of time travel. Followed by all the comments of those beautiful enlightened fans and then you realize Elvis never actually left the building. Thank you!!
This was so interesting and insightful and enjoyable as well. You are top dog, in my opinion, of all reactors. I am so excited to see where you will go in the next year. There are so many facets of Elvis to explore.❤❤❤
This was great!!! It's been a year already!?? Time flies! Its wonderful watching your reactions to Elvis because you get it! It's so much more than the music and you see him as an entertainer and a human being. Then there's the amazing band beside him. Thank you so much for your dedication. TCB ⚡👑🌹 You'd enjoy Elvis....King of Kindness and The National Archives sit down when Elvis met Nixon, which you may want to split into parts. Very funny and interesting. 😊
Pleased that you have enjoyed Elvis Mark,as you say much more to see and listen to.I am in my 81st year and yet to see any body else with such a voice range and charisma. Look forward to your next year ,and have a great Christmas.
I absolutely love your reactions. So smart and right on point. I loved Elvis. All things Elvis. I remember sitting in a movie theater watching Elvis on the big screen. Nothing but pure joy. I don't really care how inane the particular movie may be, Elvis' performance was always great. Tickle Me is pretty well panned by all the critics, and there are some cringe worthy moments. But Elvis' comedic timing is spot on. I loved Love Me Tender, Flaming Star, Wild in the Country, King Creole and Charro for the drama, but I also loved Blue Hawaii, G.I. Blues, Kid Galahad, Follow That Dream, etc. Every single one of them had nuggets of greatness. I've seen a ton of photo montages over the years and many of them showed Elvis behind the camera. Trying to learn that aspect of film-making, I'm sure. Who knows? Maybe he wanted to be a director. I just wish he had had the courage to fight his manager, to insist on doing what he wanted to do, to record good songs without the edict that the songwriter hand over his royalties, to make good movies that made him feel fulfilled even if they didn't make the money of the musicals. I guess I just wish..... Oh, and by the way, I did read somewhere along the way that later during the Vegas years and on, Elvis would practice with J. D. Sumner of The Stamps Quartet to tap into the lower notes of his voice. Definitely shows.
LIBBY SURE SAID WHAT I'VE ALWAYS FELT... SO THIS LADY THANKS YOU FOR PUTTING OUT THERE.. ELVIS STUDIED THE OTHER PERSONS LINES AND REMEMBERING HIS OWN..HE WAS A SEARCHER, STUDIED ALL HE COULD.. WISH HE WAS LEFT TO FLY..🕊🕊🕊
Thank you Mike. I have an been Elvis fan since I was 7 years old but if somebody asked me I would just say he just made me feel good. You have educated me to really understand why. Merry Christmas to you and your family. Please keep posting reactions ❤
No, thank YOU! It has been a pleasure going down this journey with you. You’re so open minded and so articulate and I appreciate both of those things about your reactions so much. Merry Christmas to you and yours!
I always jump and stop whatever I’m doing when I see one of your reactions. I thoroughly enjoyed this because I think that you really get the whole picture. I look forward to so many more reactions from you. There is a multitude of live performances on video that you haven’t even scratched the surfaceso you’ve got your job ahead of you lol thank you so much my friend for thoroughly making me happy God bless you happy holidays to you and your family. Oh and yes, long live the king. We loved him and still love him so
Your total analysis is So Good. Nice job of recapping your first year Great Work Nobody better than EP ever and to you as well your reaction and points are the best
I have thoroughly enjoyed following your journey. Your reactions are some of the most insightful and thoughtful anywhere on RUclips. I look forward to more.
I've said several times that you're easily the best Elvis reactor. You're also possibly the only one id want to have a pint with 😂. Now, please do I Just Can't Help Believin and Tomorrow Is a Long Time 😊
It's been a great year, I always come to your Elvis reactions first. you are a great reactor. One thing you need to close out the year, Elvis and his wonderful classic, "Danny Boy" audio only, but bring your hanky with you. It will touch your heart, it puts me away. Thanks Mike, I appreciate you. Be Blessed.
Merry Christmas to you Mike and your family, Thank you so much for being here with us to enjoy and honor Elvis legacy. Listening to your reactions has been such an ...educational...emotional...and exciting experience ( looks like all the e's are covered 😅). I am grateful that I found your channel ...and I have to say no other reactor has come close to the way you express or observe the depth of Elvis's skills ( natural or learned) with so much detail. Thank you Mike for keeping Elvis music alive....he wanted to be remembered...you have brought honor and respect to his memory .🌻
I think I might've said this before, but I love how you don't just react to the song, but you look deeper into the man himself. As you said, you have barely scratched the surface, but you truly 'get' him already and I wish others would do the same. I hope you continue on this journey as there is so much more to experience and learn. I have been an Elvis fan since I first heard him sing and saw him in some of his movies (Yes, I do like to watch him in those movies 😀) when I was a child. I have sometimes been ridiculed by those who have only heard of the myth and do not know the man and who are not prepared to look any further, but, hey, they're the ones who are missing out. Thank you for doing this and for being an ambassador for Elvis. I wish you and yours a happy and peaceful Christmas and I look forward to watching many more of your Elvis reaction videos 😊
Intuitive, interesting and very observant Mike. As an avid fan for years I have heard a lot of speculative rubbish and rumour, but once in a while someone smart and articulate comes along who knows his stuff and music - thanks.
You'll never know how appreciated you are by the Elvis community ... it's obvious you understand the real man and his talent ! Thank you and merry Christmas !
It's been a pleasure listening to your interesting and intelligent comments.Thank you, keep it up!
So nice of you!
I really love your reactions because you always appreciate E and his talent! Thank you for all you do!!!
My pleasure!! Thank you Donna.

And the Sad part of that was the plaque they had on the memorial was taken down! So sad!
Mimi-.. I totally agree with you on how sad & you would think after all these years it would've been replaced 😔
@mimi, only elvis' name was taken off, because they quoted he was a drug addict!!! So they removed his name.
@@vickyclausen4631 And that is disgusting!!!!!
Excellent comments, Susy.❤❤❤
So kind. Bless you Susy!

Thank you Jackie, have a great Christmas!
Intuitive, interesting and very observant Mike. As an avid fan for years I have heard a lot of speculative rubbish and rumour, but once in a while someone smart and articulate comes along who knows his stuff and music - thanks.
Wow, that's really kind, thank you!
Let's make sure we like...comment... subscribe and share Mikes channel 🌻
Hej Mike😊
Have a great Christmas Linnae!
