As someone who has travelled extensively to cultures similar to Tibet - Sikkim, Bhutan, Arunachal, Some parts of Nepal, Dharmsala and has met tibetan people living in these places, the wild Kuan yin deck is a massive miss for me. I would have liked it if the goddess channeled was Tara, but it’s clear that the images are very much depicting the Tibetan way of life and has nothing to do with Goddess Kuan Yin. What’s worse is the attribution of a Chinese goddess to a Tibetan way of life and it’s very similar if we had assigned a Japanese deity to a Korean way of life.
I really like seeing you journal when it gets simpler because it shows that work can be effective and beautiful even if it takes less time, energy or (in my case) skill 💛
That will probably be the case for my journal for the next few months. :) I have so much on my plate creatively that I haven't had time to do much in the way of creative tarot journal. It might be plain jane for a while. :)
Wish you lots of fun at the symposium and a very nice anniversary. Very curious about your deck. These cards you were showing are gorgeous. It was so fun to see that you have loads of fun creating it.
This video hit all the good vibes. It was so great to see you so excited about everything coming up. Have a great time at the symposium! And happy anniversary!
such a fun video! Congrats on the big 25th anniversary! Thanks for sharing so many beautiful decks and your tarot journaling and witchy practice videos specifically are always really inspiring. I must say, I DO NOT feel like you phoned in your tarot journaling! reminder: Self care = self love, baby! Also, gotta say, I have grown the number of angel decks in my collection exponentially and no question, Dawn Michelle made me do it! See you at the meet up!
I love your Alien deck! I am looking forward to having it in my hands...LOL I loved the monthly medicine as usual and I look forward to Octobers Medicine. I hope you guys have an awesome time at the symposium also! 💖
I am so excited about the deck, can't wait to wrap it up and get that protype in my hand! I do hope you enjoy the October Medicine, I know I'm looking forward to this one too. :)
Hurrah, Sacred Rebels! That was one of my very first oracle decks and continues to be such a favorite. I love a meaty guidebook description, and Alana Fairchild's just resonate so beautifully. But anyway, happy 25th anniversary!!! Landlines are for lovers...☎😘❤ And have safe and fun travels for the symposium! I am so friggin' envious of everyone who will get to meet you, Lisa, and Peggy in person. Will be there in spirit. 😊✨
I missed watching your videos ❤ Oh my, that Sacred Rebels Oracle + Sacred Sisterhood Tarot combo looks amazing 😍 That tarot deck has gone under my radar somehow. Enjoy all of your projects and thank you ❤🙏
Omg I’ve been waiting for an alien tarot deck!!! There is nothing out there so I’m so excited for this! Thank you for sharing and creating this deck! 😃 Btw I want to thank you for inspiring me to start my own channel. I haven’t uploaded my first video yet but I will really soon ❤️
Love that you are creating an alien deck. I have a few in my collection after being inspired by the Mystic Martian Oracle. All of them feel otherworldly but when you showed a few cards from your deck it felt much more like alien’s sharing our world and being connected to them. I love the association of angels and aliens too. I’ve daydreamed about the spirit people cave paintings of my culture (Australian First Nations) and their conceptual connections to aliens as we have imagined them. Look forward to your deck ❤
Oh yeah, my deck is very much the aliens sharing our world with us. I'll go into more of the story behind the deck probably once I get the protype in hand. I am so glad you like it! :)
I've always been (and still am!) interested/fascinated by your journaling (style & that you stick with it lol) and throw a deck into the mix? I'm here for it! 💜🎉🥰 (and same here re Guided Hand lol! I have many collage decks as my fav genre (atm anyway), but is it different enough remains my question so it's still in the cart)
Hi there Dawn. You have great ideas for modifying decks. Could you please help me? There is a really nice Tarot deck called the Elemental Power deck. It has excellent Majors and good court cards but the Minors are a disaster. The Aces are acceptable but what idea could keep the suits and yet make them even vaguely more interesting? I really value your ideas.
I actually had this deck for a while and had the idea to draw or collage on the minors... but I didn't end up ever getting around to it. But I think that would be a fun mod project, because I agree the Majors and Courts are stunning but the numbers are lacking. I hope that helps! :)
@@DawnMichelleTarot Thanks so much for replying. I was looking at Illustrated playing cards but they are not very common here. An unusual Playing Card deck that was passed on to me is called The Key to the Kingdom by Tony Meeuwissen. It's subtitled Transformation cards and has a hard cover book in colour with well executed pictures playing cards accompanied with short little familiar English rhymes. Unfortunately it is rather limited as to where it would fit in. So I will continue to think about what else could be done with lazy suits in Tarot decks. Thanks always for your inspiration.
I had this conversation in the Boho Tarot group already, but the Haindl tarot gives me such protective, maternal energy. Very raw but comforting. 😄 I had no idea so many people see it as a stern or harsh deck. I 100% agree on it being a solid reader as well!
To be honest, The TNG kinda sucks lol. I got it cause it sits on my shelf as a collectors item but I would never read with it. The artwork is ok in the Majors, I don't agree with several of the choices for characters and the minor arcana has the wrong associations in my opinion... not to mention the famous lazy pips which I think are worse in this deck than any of the other Insight Edition decks I have... there's a reason I haven't shown it on my channel, cause I don't have much nice to say about it, other than it looks cool on my fan girl shelf lol. :)
@@DawnMichelleTarot I still mostly just play around with digital collages but I have 100+ videos saved for later on my Procreate list :D and I have really cool watercolor brushes so I'm very happy with those.
@@DawnMichelleTarot Ahh yeah, I was trying to remember if I'd seen it on your channel. I was hesitant because even though the art style is fitting for the series, it wasn't my thing but meh. Good thing I didn't just get it like I got the SPN (which is my official love to hate deck XD). I'm hoping Buffy is going to be made better because Buffy is Buffy!
I LOVE Sacred Sisterhood! Although I don't like the cardstock - it's difficult for me to shuffle - it speaks to my inner being so much! I also have Sacred Rebel deck, and love it, too. 😁❤️🃏🕯🔮🍁🍂🐈⬛
I'm honestly devastated that you didn't/couldn't connect with Tarot by Caro. I absolutely adore it, find it incredibly insightful, and I wouldn't classify myself as a beginner. I suppose that's the wonderful thing about cartomancy; one person's meh and another's ah-ha 😊
Oh totally, I have decks that I love that other people just don't get. It's so great we have so many to choose from! I'm sure it will find a good home. :)
Ok, yes a million times over, I want your alien tarot deck! LOL Have you read Keith Thompson’s book Angels and Aliens?! I could talk for days on this stuff! 😂
Thank you so much, I am having so much fun creating it! I saw that when I was scrolling through Amazon the other day. I'll have to take a closer look! :)
I love the medicine woman decks but I really disagree on the 2nd one just being an oracle - if you study it and listen to the videos she made about the deck I feel it does actually follow the tarot. I think if one just looks at the images you miss out a lot about that deck...
I'm sure it works beautifully as a Tarot as well, I just prefer to work with it as an oracle. That's how the energy showed up for me in my practice. It's great how we can all use the decks in ways that work for us.

I enjoyed this so much, and your hair looks amazing!! Happy 25th Anniversary.
Thank you so much! We have a nice anniversary at NWTS hehe. :)
I LOVE the guided hand tarot. One of my favorite decks in my collection
I absolutely love the cards you showed of your new deck!♡ thank you for sharing them
Thank you so much, I am really enjoying creating it and I hope to have more information to share about it soon. :)

This was a lovely wrap up. Loved the deck matches, especially your soul week ones. Have a lovely anniversary and also a blast at the tarot event :D

Hopefully soon I'll have even more to share! :)
I can't wait to see your finished Alien deck
Thank you! It's been such a wonderful process, I can't wait to share more. :)
Wow Kuan Yin and Haindl work really well together 💚 Your alien deck looks amazing 💚
Happy Anniversary 💚💚💚
Thank you so much, it's a little labor of love deck to be sure. :)

Just dropped in here to say your haircut is super cute & I love that Messages from Guardian Angels Tarot. I gotta get that!
Aw thank you so much! :)
Oh my gosh! I love that you're making a deck! I love that it's aliens!
It just came outta nowhere, but I'm having such a fantastic time creating it! :)
