One of my best friends was like that, I'd be so pissed because I swear I could feel the hairs of his skin with my fingertips but he just gets away every. single. fucking. time.
Well Cruz was barely 22 in the first fight, that might explain why he was taller the second time because he might’ve grown? I don’t have an explanation for the 3rd right😂
@@omgdookie3978 Cruz demolished DJ in a pretty much 1 sided fight, that alone above beating all of team alpha male is enough to be the 🐐 of the bantamweights
Omg Dookie he was unbeaten for 9 years, dominated the best in the division and you’re gonna say that Cody is gonna take that away for beating him, and also considering Dom was injured
He's a huge inspiration for fighters who want to develop a self-taught style. We'll always need fighters like this to break the mold and keep things interesting.
Dominick cruz is bar none the absolute best fighter the sport has ever seen with footwork and head movement IMO. by the time he slips a strike or a combo he has already created so much space and isn't in any real danger anymore. He is one of my favorite fighters in the sport and its a shame injury has slowed him down because I think he could still be dominating his weigh class. I absolutely love how hard it was for fighters to not only find someone to spar with that immolates his movement but how some of them just couldn't hit him. When he and tj fought it was hard for tj to land strikes and he is a great fighter with a lot of the same attributes. When it comes to footwork and head movement, few are worth mentioning in mma alongside this guy...there is of course lomachenko but he is a boxer .
Dominic is one of the greatest of all time. They all talk about the Goat, pound for pound, and include jones, dj, gsp. But Dominic should be in that conversation. That always confused me. I think the two best are gsp and Dom
I agree 100% man, he is miles ahead of almost every fighter on the planet except for a handful. The closest fighter to his footwork, head movement and counter striking is vasyl lomachenko
I fuck with everything about this video. The music, the clip selection, the flow of the action cued up with beat changes in the song, everything. I definitely recommend doing more compilation/highlight videos with other fighters too, nice work!
First time i watched this dude fight it went kind of like.. "This dude can't fight. He's all over the place... This dude is undisciplined. He's crazy... He's wild... He's INCREDIBLE!!!"
Maybe it's the fact I blazed before watching this for the first time but the editing is on point. I noticed I started giggling every time the clips of him schooling TJ synced up perfectly with "go woo on a bitch" lol. Also, Cruz dropping Jorgensen with that jab obviously goes sick with "I had to cap a nigga". This video is hot.
My god Dominick’s footwork is beautiful, I’m not gay but if I was I’d JO to just watching him dance around the octagon Edit: I don’t remember typing this but I regret it Edit 2: I forgot I typed this again and I still regret it holy shit this is awful
Mad props to the ref in that very last clip for not stopping the fight after just 2 punches and giving the guy a fighting chance to defend himself or escape regardless if he didn't and still got knocked out I can't stand when refs call a fight early and then the loser says he wasn't done yet because we've seen thousands of scenarios where the guy getting beat up the entire fight ends up winning in the end.
How? Cause he had one bad night against a guy who came up in the camp that Cruz has been singlehandedly fighting for years? He was still moving like "The Domin8er against Gardbrandt, but he didnt fight his usual fight. Hes 6-2 against Team Alpha Male lol.
A bad night? A fighter who TJ has now ko'd twice in the first round made him look like a complete amateur and that is just a "bad night"?. The fact that after seeing TJ's performance vs Garbrandt you actually doubt that he'd win a rematch is just plain stupid. TJ is a completely different and better fighter now after extensive training with Ludwig, and this time TJ would recognise the faults he made the first time around as well as study what Cody done to exploit Cruz. My money would 110% be on TJ for the Cruz rematch.
RobMarx23 RobMarx23 MMA math doesn't work. Styles are what make fights. Yes, anyone can have a bad night. The fact that Dom beat TJ, Cody beat Dom and TJ beat Cody only shows that the division is as dangerous as it's ever been and anyone can win on any given night. TJ vs Dom will always be 50/50 because that's simply the kind of fight those two bring with their styles. Just like both times TJ fought Cody, it was more action packed than any of their other fights. Again, because of their styles. I've always tried to approach these things logically and with factual arguments as to why one fight would go one way, and another fight could go another way. Seems to me like you base your statements off of the fact that you're maybe a TJ fan. One fight can't end your prime unless it's a fight with UnGodly punishment. Wanna see an example of that, watch Julio Cesar Chavez vs Meldrick Taylor. But unless it's something like that, I doubt Dom would be in the game if he didn't think he was capable.
Dom is too old and his legs so useless.. Dillashaw would kill him this time, a rematch against garbrandt would be a good match, a fight against lineker or caraway too
To do what he did to Mighty Mouse and make him look like just another dude is crazy. Ok MM wasn’t in his weight class at the time or I think even a full time fighter at the time but Jesus. Cruz is one of the greatest fighters ever to have graced the cage
This man should be goat cuz he has his own unique fighting style and his own footwork style which btw I've been studying for a while and I've been trying to learn it
My favorite fighter of all time. Garbrandt had excellent coaching in that fight but Bucholz has left and Garbrandt has been knocked out thrice since. The Cody that fought Dom would've been TJ. They just didn't have the coaching and didn't have the footage. They had hours of footage on Dom fight TAM fighters. I think it goes without saying Dom would beat Cody if he fought like he did in his last 3. If Cody fought like he did against Dom I think he'd still be champ. Dom talks about coming back but his body has just been through so much damage, he hasn't been finished since WEC. I'd hate to see him get knocked out or something. It's a DAMN shame he isn't even in the talks for goat status. He beat Mighty Mouse who Rogan said was the goat and has only lost what, twice? Garbrandt and Faber? Or did he have one more, I can't remember. Regardless he was unbelievable and is my favorite.
This guy can dodge strikes but anderson silva can land great counters while doing what he’s doing lol. Cruz mostly dodges the strikes but doesn’t land much countrr
