- I went on a one night shopping binge to TJMaxx to find some perfumes to share with you! Instead of leaving with just a few, I ended up with 10! Eight of the ten were blind buys! My excitement didn't last long as I started to experience these fragrances! Want to know what happened, keep watching!

This was fun, I wore "Design" perfume from 1991 until 97 or 98. Then I switched to the original "Fifth Avenue" as my daily scent. I am 56 years old now, fragrance has changed so much during my lifetime! "Design" is quite floral compared to modern scents; however, my perception was skewed because prior to that I wore "White Shoulders," for heaven's sake. Lol. Now that is a floral. 😳
Yes good ole White Shoulders, I wore that one a lot too! I think a lot of girls wore that one. I will be 56 in October

I love these type of videos! I blind buy perfumes from tj, Marshalls and Burlington all the time for fun! I recently bought Versace Dylan turquoise at marshalls, which I love. Also Versace bright crystal absolu. There are 2 by Guess that are beautiful! Guess double dare and guess seductive noir. A $15 one I adore from Marshals is English Laundry Oxford bleu femme. Its my wear to bed, fresh cotton and fruity scent!

I love English laundry. I have high ends perfumes as well but no one ever compliments me when I wear those. To my surprise when I wore English Laundry my colleagues complimented me.
I found in marshall and tj max some arabs dupes of designers fragances like Armani, Givenchy, Valentino, Backara Rouge 540 etc and arabs fragamces are great they have a higher concentration of oil and last longer 😍
I completely agree,I loooove big,bold fragrances.
My best find was a few toccas, twirl, D&G l’imperatrice, mark jacobs the ones with the purse bottle. Etc
My sprayer on the Brittany spears perfume is fine

My best finds this year are Tommy Bahama St. Bart’s and Guess Seductive Noir.

Yes, I would absolutely return the bottles you’re not happy with, especially if they’re off. Life’s too short to keep a bad fragrance. If you like them maybe find a more recent bottle to give it a fair chance.

My best find was Guerlain Purple Fantasy at Marshall's. I couldn't believe it.
I am not familiar with that one! I am going to have to search that one up! Guerlain at Marshall's is definitely a great find.

Fendi perfumes have been discontinued for about seven years now I believe. It was acquired by LVMH in 2001 and they scrapped all the originals, then discontinued all around 2015 if I am not mistaken. It is criminal in my opinion. There is nothing in the world like the original Fendi. I have Furiosa too - it is very nice, but definitely doesn't compare to the premiere frag😥
I absolutely agree on returning the bottles,you spent your well earned money on them,you absolutely deserve to have things that are not expired. That's not what you paid for.
I have a 30ml bottle of Burberry London, i need to pick it up more its a tad bit floral for me but its nice and i also have
the same Euphoria, its good for winter our cold Canadian winters. I own 4 of the omnia perfumes but in the other colors
i love all of them the pink one the purple one and the turquoise one is gorgeous as well as the coral one. I would try and
return yours and try and check out the other ones. Even the one white is beautiful its fresh and perfect for the heat of
California. You should try and mix the Nirvana Rose with the White or Black it might help, i have it and its nice.
I will have to keep my eyes open for the other Omnia's! I do see them occasionally at TJMaxx!
I am wearing Burberry London today its great in the summer time. Its one of my all time favourite and performance is great 😎

Have you tried the Nemat Perfume Oils at Ulta? They're usually in the grab and go section but they are seriously amazing!! Theyre always selling out so you should def give them a try!
I soo love the amber one, its my favorite scent! And it's $15 right now for black Friday deals!
If you think something is off , I would first go smell a fresher batch in a store , so you can decide if it’s off and make the comparison. Then I would most certainly return it back if that’s the case of it being too old.

My dad free ones I love it's one of my favorite happy sense by Clinique it's very springy and summary and it smells amazing on me
I first did not like Aura EDT as it was too strong scent for me, but with spring/summer humidity it is perfect scent..
It's always hit or miss with tj Maxx or marshalls.imho though I have fragrances that our older than 7 years and feel like they still are great,actually I like when a fragrance sits alittle or ages,I feel it gets more potent.if you find a clinque cookie and kisses ever,pick it up its a winner!twirl I find is a great scent but doesn't last long ,although I do get a good 3-4 hours out of it and I like layering it with alot of my fragrances. One that's also a good one that you'll find at those stores is l impertrice 3,great fresh fruity spring summer.not sure if you have it.id return the fantasy cause the sprayer should work fine.good luck and great video!❤
I will keep my eyes open for Cookie and Kisses! I once bought the original L'Imperatrice from TJMaxx, it did not have a 3 on it, and it had really poor longevity on me! I will keep a lookout for the one with the 3! Thanks
I watched another video of yours before this talking about the Swiss Arabian fragrances, definitely might have to try that out! I saw the Giorgio Beverly Hills in the beginning and I blind bought it last year and I don’t like it at all, I sprayed it once but never again. I haven’t smelled to EDT of Aura but the EDP is definitely in my top 5 fragrances! I don’t have Nirvana Rose, but I do have Nirvana Grey, and Nirvana Black. I have a sample of Nirvana White which I think I like the best. Not super crazy about Grey but I enjoy Black. I was looking into that Kate Spade fragrance, glad I didn’t purchase it!
Maison D'Orient has some lovely fragrances that are affordable luxury! You may find some on there as well. Yes Aura is AMAZING! It smells so different and unique

Speaking of sprayer issues I have a bottle of Prada and it just stopped working. No matter how many times I push it down, nothing comes out. I'm going to try and find some videos to see if I can just take that off and pour the perfume in another bottle. It's really annoying because I love the sent and it wasn't cheap
Oh that is bad about your Prada sprayer! There are some pretty cool empty perfume bottles they sell on Amazon... Let me know if you figure out how to get it into another bottle! I might have to do that with the Fantasy perfume or return it and get another bottle LOL
@@sashascents Omg omg I fixed it! Check out the video by Scentual Obsessions, he shows how to fix the atomizer. It took me less than five minutes

@Sasha Scents I went today to TJ Maxx...very picked over...however I found the last bottle of Nirvana Rose... 16.99 (you can't go wrong for the price)...it is not what I expected...and you gave a fair warning... It has the medicinal thing like Vick's Vapor Rub...and I think it smells like my Grandpa's cigars...he smoked one occasionally or his pipe...he was born in 1911 and quit cigars at 88. It reminds me of him... :) I will definitely wear it occasionally...it's definitely different... 🍒🚬 Much love.

Give Nirvana Rose a few more tries. It's a bit goth and dark. It can actually grow on you. Try it in different climates. I was turned off at first and but now it's been growing on me. It's like a certain mood but maybe it will also grow on you. 🤷♀️
You should return the expired perfumes! If they were 7 years old but smelled fresh it would be okay but since they're off, I would get my money back!
Yes I agree! They smelled nice but something was definitely off... I don't have a newer one to compare them to, so will just return them!
Some of my best finds at TJ Maxx and Marshall’s have been: Versace Crystal Noir EDT, Burberry London, Burberry Rhythm, Vince Camuto Fiori, Michael by Michael Kors, Sophia and Love both by Sophia Vergara. It’s definitely hit or miss when you buy from these retailers and you can’t try before you buy.

It's really interesting that you bring up batch codes and old fragrances. It always amazes me when I see people horde fragrances for years and then never even touch them?!
like,why spend sooo much and not use your fragrances while they are still good ? It's just money down the drain for something that's going to expire!

I’m shocked that some perfumes I have are still smelling lovely! Clinique Simply is about 18 years old, and Yves Rocher Venice is even older and still one of the best.
@@katiejon17 well that's showing that you're taking good care of them. I try to myself. I pulled out one from my stash the other day, I've had it for well over 6 or 8 year's,and I couldn't believe it hadn't changed. Not even in color,smell or anything.

I have the Aura EDT version, and I prefer that one to the EDP. The EDP is gorgeous as well, and super unique, but on my skin it turned way too cloying and sickenly "damp" and sweet in a nauseating way 😐 But! the EDT, because it is lighter and a bit brighter, I can wear and enjoy at the same time ☺
They are definitely unique! I like fragrances strong LOL, and the EDP is strong! The EDT is really nice as well, just a lot softer

For the Nirvana Rose you basically described the vibe I want my dream apartment to give off, kooky wizards tower. I heard someone describe it as roses at a funeral too. Definitely not a people pleaser but it sounds right up my alley lmao. I don't want to make people run away from me screaming though so if it's really bad I'll pass. If you have any recs for something that gives off that mystical vibe but isn't stinky please tell me
It doesnt necessarily stink, it just has a very rosy medicinal, herbal type scent that is very different and I think that if you like a 'wizards tower" kind of vibe this might just work for you. If you are near a TJMaxx or Marshall's they have it for $16.99. There are many people that like it!
I would return the perfume, Im sure you might not use it so you should have the oportunity to purchase something you feel more happy with.
Haha! New age Nirvana Rose. I found that one too at a Marshalls for about 15 dollars and while I am not the biggest rose fan I do like it, but for me it's a fail because it lasts as bad as Twirl! Seriously 15 minutes on Nirvana Rose! I don't have time for bad performers with a big collection like I have. I would return any that you think are off. That is very odd too. I collect a ton of vintage and discontinued perfumes and partial bottles and have never had an off bottle, well maybe one, as it was very, very old. Normally it's the top notes that are damaged but they are still very wearable so maybe the modern aroma chemicals are not as stable?
Nirvana Rose definitely stands out and is different... It lasts a long time on my skin! Crazy that it fades after 15 minutes on you! Some perfumes that last forever on some people disappear in minutes on me, and some that last a short while on some people last an eternity on me. It really has a lot to do with our skins chemistry! Maybe Katie Spade doesn't last because the base notes aren't strong enough. Wow this is disappointing, because I was excited when you first started to describe it. 😊

I have returned several fragrances to Marshalls and they have never given me any problem. I wouldn't hesitate, especially if you explain that something smells off and that they were made several years ago.
Oh my TJMaxx is terrible with returns.. if it is open they make a huge deal out of it and call the manager over and everything...its quite humiliating LOL.
Try as I may, I cannot get anything Burberry to work with my skin...besides Burberry Black that is. Burberry Black is gorgeous.

My 2 favorite Marshalls finds were SJP Stash Unspoken & Hello by Lionel Richie and then my favorite Burlington Coat Factory find was Guess Seductive Noir (better than Mon Guerlain....don't crucify me! ;)

TJMaxx and Marshalls have been great for me to purchase designer perfumes at a more affordable price. Some of my favorite finds: Bond No. 9 Brooklyn and Scent of Peace, My Burberry Black, Lacoste White cologne, Viktor and Rolf Bonbon, Givenchy L’Interdit, YSL Black Opium, Gucci Guilty, J’adore Christian Dior, Bobbi Brown Beach
Fendi Furiosa was a bummer for me. I liked it a lot but my bottle was expired. I’m also not a fan of the Eau de Toilette. It’s too watered down for me.

My Encinitas TJ Maxx had nothing I didn’t already have! Yikes!
TJMaxx had amazing fragrances before COVID and then either they weren't getting shipments in or they were selling out fast. I think it is the latter because apparently I read that during COVID perfume sales sky rocketed! The best fragrances I have gotten from them is Ange Ou Demon, Shine by Dolce & Gabanna and Dylan Blue!

I am kicking myself for not getting it! They had it at TJMaxx for $59 but I didn't get it, then I went to Marshall's and they had it for $79 so I went back to TJ's to get it and it was gone! Then went back to Marshall's and it was gone! UGH. Did you get the fragrance I mailed off? I know they said it would be 2 weeks before you would get it. IT has been a little over 2 weeks. Let me know and I will check to see if I can find the tracking number on it

Nice haul! I would definitely return the expired perfume. 2 or 4 yrs is one thing, but 7? (Especially if it smells bad .) No way! That would be going back so quick. And i rarely return things like that. And i agree that perfume often doesnt keep as long as you might think. Ive got burned a few times ordering from Nordstrom rack and even Fragrancenet. Sometimes you just get unlucky wity overstock perfume. I actually have a perfume i blind bpught off Ebay thats been discontinued, and at first spray i thought Oh no! It has that off type smell when perfumes start to break down. I let it set anyway and was super fortunate that the dry down still smelled amazing. Thank goodness!!

Yes if something smells off to you just bring it back. They have taken returns of mine before with no issue.

Nirvana rose was just awful to my nose. Very medicinal rose. Menthol type quality. I think it’s the geranium.
