The sensor size is the same, it’s comparing the regular iPhone 15 to the 15 Pro is slightly bigger*
Saying the camera hardware is upgraded between 14p and 15p is false since the regular 14 pro and 15 pro have the exact same camera.
I don’t know why but i feel that when each generation of iphone is coming, Apple make a update to low the Quality of the previous generation. Because i am sure at 100%, the HDR on the 14 pro was perfect. Even on the 13 Pro.

Unless you shoot in portrait mode, shooting at 3x in low light will actually crop into the main sensor rather than use the 3x telephoto camera
Honestly. The reason why i wanted to upgrade to iphone 15 is because of usb type c. It’s so much convenient for me to transfer data from camera to phone.

yeah, with the iphone 15 the only major improvement is the action button and the usb-c. the camera isn’t much different from the 14 pro, honestly. and i do pretty extensive mobile photography work on my iphones

A question: are the 1x images on both phones shot with the "HEIF Max" or "JPEG Max" mode or are the images from the 14 Pro default 12MP vs the new default 24MP on the 15 Pro?
This is exactly what I would like to know, I noticed greater sharpness with the 14 Pro Max compared to the 15 Pro Max with the 1x camera and zooming in at maximum, with 48Mp HEIF MAX setting in both.

Man, thank you for this HQ comparison!!! I'm sitting on the edge of my seat, thinking about cancelling my preodered iPhone 15 Pro after some reviews (battery) and drop tests and keep using my 14 Pro Max a year longer... but i hate the HDR and white balance on the 14 Pro and this looks sooo much better. The funny thing is... the 3x didn't get any hardware upgrade, but got the biggest upgrade in image quality over the main sensor. Better colours, the skin tones, more detail und the bokeh looks incredible.
Even the edge detection is greatly improved on all sensors - looking at your hair at 4:00.

i think by good color image editing skills you could reach the hdr of iphone 15 picture on iphone 14 the only things that i think its better in iphone 15 pro than 14 is the log video recording its amazing if you really can handle that in editing & ability to record on external drive while recording & the ability to shot portrait so choose & change focus point after taking the photo in the normal lense can now taking portrait photos making it has larger details. also the ability to zoom 2x in cinematic mode if you dont want this things then save your money while usbc & action button $ titanium not the things makes me upgrade.

I believe Apple missed the mark in this instance. While I recognize the challenge of introducing major innovations annually, they could have significantly enhanced the camera features to attract potential upgraders. It's unlikely that many will consider moving from the 14 Pro, that's certain.

Hdr on 11 pro was already exceptionally best. Apple deprived us of this quality and now is offering us on 15 pro the same or just a tad better quality than 11 pro. Because the highlights were never blown-out on 11 pro. The 13 and 14 pro series began again to blow out the highlights.
So it’s a shame for apple. I’m a photographer and videographer that wants to only rely on apple ecosystem for the ease of use; but made a decision on moving to a canon or sony ecosystem. So won’t buy any newer model of iPhone for a long time, it seems.

In my opinion, unfortunately I don't feel the photos taken with the ip15 look any different than the ip14 or it being any spectacular for that matter. What I feel it seems to do best is to show flaws of individuals very vividly. Now that's a good thing or not well, each his own.
I’ll wait for next gen got 512g 14max purple. The log prores external recording sold me but rule of thumb don’t buy first gen update model.
they use the same main sensor man, no improvement. IMX803 and the difference is purely software wise.

15pro supports proper log format in the blackmagic camera app and filmic pro which none of the previous supported. Those phones only supported pseudo log format.

Hello, did you notice the auto processing when taking selfie photos using front cam? Mine always gets darker and grainy even with enough light

@@ruialex314 i think the biggest upgrade is the action button and surprisingly the weight. The lighter phone lets me scroll on TikTok a bit longer before my wrist starts to hurt before I go to sleep lol

First look at the specs before you make a video… iPhone 15pro standard uses main camera at 24mp foto’s with the 48 mp camera. Size about 5mb. Also for portrait mode. Thats a difference. iPhone 14 Pro uses the 48mp camera into 12mp with pixel binning: After iOS 17 you can shoot 48mp jpeg with the main camera. But the size is about 10mb. Also you can shoot 48mp heif. 5mb but you cant use it in portrait mode. Camera is about the same but this software change would be worth waiting for me.
Also: Sie wirken VIEL natürlicher bei dem iPhone 15 Pro als bei dem 14 Pro. Erstaunlich. Hatte auch das 14 Pro Max, nun das 15 Pro Max. Definitiv ist es ein Upgrade wert, also jedenfalls für mich. Alleine wegen des Gewichts und allem. Beim Video gibt es übrigens weniger Rauschen; das ist deutlich erkennbar. Es mag am HDR 5 liegen oder dem neuen Prozessor.

Has anyone else noticed that the iPhone 11 Pro takes better photos of action shots of animals than the 14 Pro and 15 Pro? I like to take photos of kitty cats playing with a string and in the middle of a jump I get the best action shots on the 11 pro because the 14 on the 15 make one small parts very clear, and then the rest of it kind of blurry like you can’t see the blades of hair… But you might see the ultra shine of an eye, and then, in the action shot, it usually will save the still that has their mouth closed or the claws in, the cleaner shot, rather than the mouth open, which makes really funny, action shots. I’m told this can be changed but I’ve changed all the settings and I still can’t get as good of action shots on the 14 or 15.
There is no difference at all. If you look closely iPhone 14 pro pictures looks much better

The reason you didn’t notice a main camera difference between the two is because the sensor IS NOT bigger. It’s the exact same sensor between the two.
The image sensors are exactly same on 14pro 15pro
Seriously you need a magnifying glass to see any difference in the pictures.. Like really it’s like those puzzles, spot the letters..!! You have to really look for them.. The camera is no upgrade at all.. And the drop test on that other channel showed how the 15 pro shattered so bad compared to 14 pro, just seems like a downgrade..!

Guys I have watched thousands of videos… and still need help! I have an iPhone 11 (I will give it as part of payment and finance the rest), should I take advantage of the 14PRO that has dropped a little in price or the 15PRO? I see them very similar and the 15PRO would be more expensive for about 100€ difference... 🤔
Unless you’re really tight on budget, I would go for the 15 Pro to stay updated. The weight is lighter than the past few generations so it doesn’t feel heavy in the pants or purse. Action button to quickly do a command or open to a specific camera mode. USB C, I’m sure you have many other devices that uses the same cable. No need to carry two different types. Those are the things that stick out the most from the “everyday” experience.

I have 14 pro and Im going to keep it for 2 3 years! Iphone 15 pro is the same phone. Camera speed everything is the same. Maybe is loading 0.005 sec faster. And the camera is the same! Its all about focusing. But cmon people if you want a profesionall camera get camera not a phone. Apple make you look like clowns.

I upgraded on my iPhone 13 Pro to iOS 17, and felt the hit for 2 days. Today, it’s back to being cool.
