I have a 6’6 epoxy with normal stringer. I ride it as a quad. Love it, paddles well and is very fast and responsive!

That’s interesting, I imagine it goes awesome as a quad in most surf! Probably an awesome barrel board with that set up!

Notice both of you prefer the more rake fin as an thruster is that from trial and error ?. Have any of y’all tried different fins like an more pivot fin

When riding as a 2+1 James rode it with the MF template which is a little more upright in the pivot family. It worked great and it was easier to fit more turns in a tighter area. The CI large is just a go to fin for him.

I own two one in 6’6 and a 6’2 but I’m 6’0 and 200lbs in Florida moved from California so I added volume. Futures using blackstix 2 + 1 cause Florida but if I go back to California I use neutral thruster

How do you like it with the neutral thruster? Have you tried to go to a rake thruster or the other way to a pivot?

Just bought the Futures HS1 and a Vapor Core Rake but haven't put them to use yet, got them over Christmas, if NSB, Sebastian, Palm Beach FL stay flat, I will take the HS1 to Puerto Rico in March. Florida has been garbage this past November & December and forecast into half of January looks bad too. The neutral is the Futures Pancho which I got after I gained 20lbs during the 2020-2021 lockdowns and it works well in California. @@SurfTechChannel
