L'Oreal excellence is what I have been using also in the light brown shade. I have had almost all my hair fall out from stress. I was helping my father care for my mother and having my mother in law living with my husband and I with dementia. ( I would care for them all over again) just to have them still with us. Anyway it's been 10 years and I get my hair to grow about 2 inches then it falls out again in spots. I have been wearing wigs for 10 years now. Thank God they are so beautiful now and you can get human hair also. I do get compliments all the time that my hair is so beautiful. I have now been able to share that this is a wig and the look on there face is enough to tell me they had no idea. So that then can can turn into a long conversation. I do like to help other's dealing with hair loss. It's part of are self confidence. Thanks so much for all the great tips! I have noticed a marked increase in my hair thinning and falling out - exhibit A our bathroom floor - LOL! I have a short bob so maybe a little trickier for me when it comes to applying the OGX oil to my ends. But I love their hair mask. I will definitely need to try that shampoo/conditioner combo. And thank you for the hair color numbers - we have the same color hair and I am always going to dark. I want to keep it lighter now. Great video!

I have a very fine curly hair, I love the og coconut oil put on the night before my wash day and I do use about 1ml of it and that’s a lot but it really protects my hair ends during my wash ! I love it! 😊 if I didn’t do it, or forgot to do it I would certainly notice a measurable difference in my hair after the washing x

It’s light weight I have long course dry wavy hair and I can easily see it working well for finer oilier hair types. A little goes a long way and leaves no frizz like other volumizing products tend to do. Recommend.

I had no idea about the dry shampoo contributing to hair shedding. I was told by my hairdresser to try to go 3 or more days without shampooing and so I’ve now switched to once a week but use the dry shampoo. I thought the hair shedding was just stress related. I’m going to try laying off the dry shampoo. Thank you!
I also only use very natural, fragrance free or natural fragrance products so I probably am unable to use most of the products linked. However, your tips about how you care for your hair were great! Thank you. I do use a leave-in conditioning spray on my hair which is the first product not to weigh it down - Honest Conditioning Detangler. I have very straight fine long hair. My husband has very curly hair and it works on his hair as well.

Thanks for sharing. I've been using black castor oil & ordinary's hair serum on the nights before I wash my hair & it's helped tremendously in getting regrowth & thickening. I also alternate & use a rice water shampoo bar every couple of weeks. Very simple & inexpensive.

I use Biotin liquid I put in water and drink it. Doesn’t create acne for me. Only do that and stopped the falling out and more growing in now :). Yay

I can't use Biotin either, because of the acne, and most people I had mentioned it they are surprised, finally I found someone who shared the same reaction like me
Yes, lots of people don't know why they are suddenly getting acne and often it is from their supplements (biotin) or even whey protein powder can cause it too. I mean, if someone MUST take Biotin, then taking Pantothenic Acid "may" be able to prevent the acne BUT I'm NOT willing to test that out Haha! But it supposedly can help prevent the acne from what I've read.

Yes it is. I LOVE the fragrance BUT some people who are sensitive to fragrance may not like it. But I think most of their products are fragranced. I don't like fragrance in my facial skincare but I love it in my haircare. 💜

Fast forward the video and I show the exact color/brand I'm using in this video. I also linked it down below so you don't have to watch the whole video since it's pretty long. But yes my hair is more light/medium. BUT box color in light brown blends the best. Because as I color every few weeks, it will naturally just look more light/medium from the layers of color (even though I only apply it to the new growth, it still blends into the rest a bit). If I use medium brown box color, it looks too dark and then I have to go and have my hair lightened with highlights or balyage. I just had to do that so I stick with a lighter box color. Probably depends on your porosity as to how much color your hair soaks up and if it turns too dark. But I would try a lighter shade 1st and if too light then next time go darker because you can always deepen up a hair color but if you start out going too dark, you have to have it bleached to lighten it. Hope that helps 🩷

Regarding how often I wash my hair...it depends on what I've used on my scalp. So if I use dry shampoo or the brown root concealer then I wash that night or the next night but if my scalp stays pretty free of product build up then every 2 - 3 nights. I've pushed it to 4 nights before but my scalp wasn't happy. I used castor oil on my lashes many many years ago and I didn't get any growth from it...just softness. 🤗

Thank you for the super tips! I just ordered the Kerastase shampoo and conditioner! Do you have any tips and tricks for what you do to maintain your hairstyle overnight? I sleep with a silk pillowcase but most of my curl falls out and my fine hair gets flattened down and limp. I've tried sleeping with it in a bun and using a silk bonnet and they make my hair even more flat. Le sigh!
I sometimes lightly wrap in a loose bun and I know it's more protective for the hair to do a loose braid or bun BUT I like to just let my hair flow while I sleep. My curls only last when I use that exact curling iron and that exact heat protection spray. If I use something else, they fall flat but my hair does stay quite sooth while I sleep when I use the Magic Night Serum and a silk pillowcase. 💜

Hi, Sheri. I've been losing strands of hair for years. I took quality supplements, used Hair Saviour oil, and for the past year - Rogaine. Labs are normal. It just depends on if I use dry shampoo or if I have sprayed the brown root concealer. If I don't use those then maybe every 3 days. If I have sprayed those on my scalp then maybe every night OR every other night to keep my scalp clean. But I try not to get in the habit of using dry shampoo and heavy stuff on my scalp daily since that can contribute to hair shedding.

I copied the link for KAMINOMOTO. Thank you so much for that tip. I make my own rice water rinse which also thickens hair, and is super easy to make. I've also made a flax seed rinse which gives crazy volume and shine. I had my husband purchase a shower water filter because I can smell the chemicals in the water, and I think it's been bothering my scalp.

1/2 cup of uncooked rice
2-3 cups of water
Strainer
2 bowls
1 container with a lid
A spray bottle
There are two popular ways to make water-soaking and boiling:
Method 1: Soaking the rice infuses the water with starch, vitamins, and minerals and helps the rice to ferment, which will restore the pH balance of your hair.
Method 2: Boiling the water releases all the vitamins and minerals into the water to add nourishment to your hair.
Pick the method that works best for you and your hair needs.
Soaking Directions:
- Pour ½ cup of uncooked rice into a strainer
- Swish the rice with your hands and thoroughly rinse the grains
- Add the rice to a bowl with 2 cups of water
- Soak the rice up to 24 hours at room temperature
- Strain the rice water into a clean bowl
- Pour the rice water into a spray bottle and save it in the refrigerator until you're ready to use it
Boiling Directions:
- Pour ½ cup of uncooked rice in a strainer
- Thoroughly rinse the grains of rice
- Boil 2 cups of water
- Pour rice into boiling water and boil until the water is cloudy
- Let the water cool
- Strain the rice
- Pour the water into a spray bottle
When you’re ready to reap the benefits of rice water, simply:
Wash your hair with your favorite shampoo
Towel dry your hair
Spray the rice water onto your hair and scalp
Massage into hair and scalp
Cover with a plastic shower cap or a plastic bag
Leave on for up to 20 minutes
Rinse thoroughly with cool water and style your hair as normal

Hi there, no I don't use it anymore but it's a great product. I still used on dry hair when I had it. Or I'd spray the area 1st with my Avene Spring water. I think they say that so the "hair" doesn't absorb the product before your scalp can. But I only used literally 2-3 tiny drops on each thin area. But also thinning hair "can" be from not washing the scalp enough. Sometimes washing once a week isn't good when dealing with hair thinning and hair shedding. Getting the scalp clean helps the hair to grow thicker and healthier. So even now when I wash my hair...it's not my hair I'm washing...I just wash my scalp and the rest of the hair gets clean enough when I'm rinsing. My hair seems to grow much faster and thicker when my scalp is super healthy vs having build up on it for a week. Also try Nizoral shampoo that has ketoconazole. Makes my hair feel very dry so I only use on my scalp and let sit like 10 minutes before rinsing. Then I use a nice rich hair mask on the ends. But it's a great shampoo i use maybe once every few weeks and it has been known to really make a difference in hair growth. Lots of Drs recommend it too. Hope that helps. 🌸

No because it's an oil. I use it just a couple hours before I wash my hair. 🤗

It will make your hair greasy if you don't wash it out. I just apply it a couple hours before I wash my hair but I always wash them out. 💗

@hbelle3997 I mean I do hear Dermatologists recommend Nioxin so perhaps it's not "bad" just not something I'm interested in trying. Plus once you use it they say you have to continue forever or it can cause the hair to thin. So I'll skip it. 💜

It depends on if I use dry shampoo or if I've sprayed the brown root concealer on my roots.... but usually every couple days. At the most, I will wash every 3rd day. But I never leave stuff on my scalp for days....that can cause hair loss if left on too many days. But if I don't have dry shampoo on or root concealer then I can wait 3 days.
Nizoral also blocks DHT with the Ketoconazole.

The Magic Hair Night Serum is not a treatment serum for your scalp like the their density serum is, correct? I did not hear you talk about the difference between the two since they both are called a night serum it can be confusing to some if the difference is not specified. It does sound great as an add on product once you have used your scalp serum...thus this is just for the ends....like an oil would be. Will give it a try! Thanks so much! :)
No it's not a scalp treatment, it's mainly for the hair itself. I've never tried their scalp serum. But I hear it's really good. 💜

Honestly I would talk to your Dr to know for sure what's best for you. Everyone is different and I honestly had to try different things. Also it could be what you are eating, supplements, may need blood work etc. So there isn't just 1 thing that will fix it in my experience. Definitely not leaving dry shampoos and sprays on the scalp for multiple days in a row do help make a difference. 💜

I'm not sure. I'm also not sure which hair products would have prostaglandins in them. I only know of lash serums that do but never thought of it being in hair products. 💗
How often do you use the Nizoral per week?
I suppose it could be used once a week if you wash often. I now use it about once a month or maybe once every 3 weeks now. BUT if someone has dandruff or a dry itchy scalp then I would follow the instructions or see what their Dr recommends. I'm thinking it can be used with every wash if dandruff is what is causing the hair loss.

Trying to get some good hair information but you’ve talked about traveling out of the country three times and changing your shampoo often, at least twice. I’m not a patient person. I don’t have a lot of time to listen to someone say the same thing over and over. I’m not gonna stick around any longer.
