Aah, this is enlightening. I was starting to think I had more off-axis torque than my noobie friend, as we both throw the Trail but his goes dead straight and mine turns and burns.
Great video. I was hyped to try the Trail, but I really like lower weight discs. I bought a 165g Pink Trail and for my older arm, it was TOO stable. I bought another White version and it flips up to flat and glides nicely. Had one of my longer throws with it. Hope they iron out the quality and give us a Fission version soon. Thanks for the video!
I picked up a 169g bright green Trail and it's a meat hook. Completely unusable at my elevation and left my bag after a few days. Is a fairly common experience with MVP discs for me. The only one I have of theirs that is *less* overstable than expected is the 157g Wynn Dragon Dimension. Awesome disc.
I have three trails. The first two (max weight) are meat hooks. The third is a 157 g, and it's a bomber. Slight turn and reliable fade. But now that you pointed out the parting line situation , I'm going to revisit the max weight discs and compare . Almost forgot the 157g disc is fission .
My form is a mess right now, so I thought that might be the issue with my Trail. I haven't been impressed with it at all. I have improved recently, so maybe I need to give it another try.
Thank you. I thought it was entirely a problem of my noodle arm. I'm sure I still am somewhat under the power these are ideally meant for, but I don't have these kinds of problems with other 10-speeds like the Gorgon and the Vulture - the (10 | 5 | 0 | 2) Vulture flies pretty true to that, and my Trail actually flies slightly beefier than the Vulture. Might yet roll the dice on another, but absent any brick and mortar options in my area, I'm kind of reluctant to buy online without comparing it in hand. Especially when I've already got a pretty good range of different stabilities of 10 | 5's with the beefy Trail, the Vulture, and Gorgons in glow / star / Gstar.
My orange blank 173 is a PD. I thought I was nuts because the internet was flipping out about how good they are. Then I bought a blue 173 stock stamp and it’s what I wanted the trail to be.
I have the neon yellow neutron in what appears to be a softer kind of neutron plastic and it’s a roller. Got it to replace my turquoise one and I’m so sad since I lost my turquoise one I want a refund lol.
The early runs were a bit flatter a beefy. The most recent runs have been more domey and US. At elevation they are all a bit more beefy than the numbers though.

Glad to know I’m not crazy then, lol. Mine is a bit more OS than I expected. Somewhat resolved by bouncing it off a road at full power. :) Good work.
Glad to see this video, my trail was very beefy, even a friend of mine with faster arm speed thought it was very stable.

i was wishing for a more flippy trail but i have a very overstabile one,
I’ll trade you lol

I honestly believe it's just an MVP thing, sucks when you need to replace a favorite disc...

Wow! I am so glad someone did this! Brook thank you so much! They will receive this feedback well I truly believe!

Just going to buy a premium s blend pd and know what I’m getting I feel it’s similar slot if they are going to be flippy

Mine's a white 168g, I'd say it's a 10, 5.5, -2.5/3, 1
I have been so confused because my trail is insanely understable. Like almost -3 understable. So crazy
My turquoise one was true to numbers but my neon yellow one is no good like stupid flippy which sucks I wanted the control slot.
Weird......I hope MVP is looking into this.

Dang that stinks I lost my first run trail I want a stable one if anyone wants to trade for a neon yellow under table one!
What about weights on the discs are they all comparable
All the discs are 170-173
