NSYNC is and will ALWAYS be DOPE! Great voices, great dancers and the ability to do both simultaneously and sound good is not easy, but they did it effortlessly! I've loved them since the beginning, and to have MJ cosign and agree to perform with them speaks volumes! 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Also... LMAO....Your FACE....when Michael Jackson came out! Totally PRICELESS! Let's also not forget, MJ and his brothers, one of the innovators of the boy bands & dancing! I mean I know there were some others, but I think as far as directing a sound and dance towards younger people, they are right there as one of, if not, the first to actually do that in particular! IMO! I love this performance and MJ is always ICONIC, of course!👑
Backstory behind this performance is that MJ agreed to do this performance if NSYNC agreed to perform at his 30th Anniversary concert. MJ was actually about to back out of this performance because MTV told him he had to perform a song but MJ only agreed to dance not sing.
A thing that I really love about *NSYNC is that they did what they loved for them and for their fans and they did not care what others thought about it. They did not take themselves seriously and often joked about it ( on SNL for example). They even wore «Boys Band suck » T-Shirts!!!
MJ Entrance still gives me chills!!!! I stayed up to watch this on TV when it aired live... the WHOLE PERFORMANCE WAS ICONIC, but when MJ came out it BLEW MY ENTIRE FAMILY'S MINDS!!!
The thing that stands out to me the most about this fun and amazing performance was that this was in NYC just one week before Sept 11, 2001. To me, it was the end of a very carefree and innocent time. The world changed just a week later, and some innocence was lost for all of us. NSYNC ‘s performance at the 2000 MTV awards was also awesome and pretty iconic.
'99, 2000, 2001, and 2013, they NEVER had a bad VMA performance. That is really insane. I think this was how I discovered Michael Jackson, when I was a kid, too. It really is insane to think that this was 21 years ago.
I really appreciate your appreciation of Nysnc and boy bands in general, without a second thought! And also, your appreciation of what they brought to the music world! Yes! I'm here for it! Thanks 👍❤️
*NSYNC live performances never disappoint. The choreos, the vocals, the energy, almost always perfect , they always give their 100%. Gotta love and appreciate every performance, even the more goofy ones . Sorry for the long comment, can you tell I looooooooove them?!?! 😂
I think the biggest take away for me rewatching this 20 almost 21 years later is that had this been now with social media mj being part of the performance would be all over social media. this performance was epic but the suprise at the end with mj nobody saw that coming. Unreal
I have always been a big n sync fan and i em like you I listened to every kind of music growing up if I liked it I never cared what anyone else thought
This is so great! Completely forgot about this.!!!! Another point to note is that they literally trained so friggin hard to actually SING while they were dancing. Don't see that often anymore either.. everything is "too perfect" now when performed. Many artists aren't even singing when they dance. I watched a snippet recently of BSB gearing up for their upcoming World Tour and they were talking about how even today, they train really hard to be able to continue the dance performances while still singing. They're not ready to give that part up yet.. So much talent and dedication to the craft. 💙
That harmony, no more discussion on who's having the best harmony of them all, this was live fellas, while dancing at same time, nsync fan here since 99, can't imagine the fame they could have if there's social media at that time
I really want you to explore Westlife more, they didn't really get into a lot of dance breaks but they did have moves... They're big thing was harmonies and tightness within the vocals.
Hi Steven. Omg you have got to watch Harry and James on the late late show. It’s in the late late show Chanel. It’s absolutely hilarious. Have to see your reaction. Omg those girls have won at life. An absolute must watch.
New Kids on the Block was popular when I was 12 or so. I think they got a lot of crap from people because it was them or hair bands (Bon Jovi, Motley Crue, DefLeppard, etc.). I didn't get on the NKTOB train, I was too in love with Bon Jovi and Def Leppard. Later I made fun of NSYNC and BSB, lol.
I love the song's message, the push-back on the haters that can't stand anything that is popular. I'm old, so I've seen lots of trends, and lots of haters of trends. My friends frequently make fun of my taste in music, because I will periodically find bands I love that are super popular, despite my love of old-school rock, and industrial (weird, nobody ever made fun of me for liking Queen, The Who, Yes, etc.). N'Sync is legitimately very good. They might not write all their songs, but they are so good at singing and performing, that you have to just be a contrarian to say they don't have talent. (I realize this must make them SO uncool, coming from a woman almost six decades into her life, but trust me, I DO have good taste.)
To be fair, they wrote at least half or more of their last two studio albums. And Whitney didn't write her own music but that doesn't make her one of the greatest singers of all time. (This is no hate to you, just wanted to clarify)
Yes, yes, yes. Steven, you'll be so pleasantly surprised. Also, Harry's "Music For A Sushi Restaurant" sounds like it came straight off that album, so you'll feel right at home!
No I don't feel that the boy band stigma really hit until NSYNC and Backstreet Boys. Before that I feel everybody was either cool with them or just didn't bother with them. Basically Eminem got all the hip hop fans on the boy bands suck train. I mean don't get me wrong I'm sure plenty of '80s Rock fans thought boy bands sucked but I feel everyone just did their own thing and let everybody else do theirs.
I remember being teased about liking BSB before Eminem even came around (they released their first album in '96 here in Canada. US release was a year later, Em didn't come until 1999). There was definitely a stigma before NSync too. But I agree that as the radios became saturated with boy bands, people became more annoyed with them all. Em was a good relief for many 🤣🤣
After seeing so many of your *NSYNC videos, I feel like you’d really like TXT (AKA Tomorrow X Together). They just performed at Lollapalooza and are a wonderful combo of kPop boy group with an amazing emo pop punk vibe. I suggest Loser=Lover MV! Also seeing your face as MJ came out with *NSYNC is unforgettable 💖💖💖
If you want to see boy group choreo just watch any KPOP boy group (it’s weird calling them boy groups some of them are boys but the ones I grew up with now are men)
Nobody has mentioned that Michael Jackson danced with Nsync, that was epic, then and now.
NSYNC is and will ALWAYS be DOPE! Great voices, great dancers and the ability to do both simultaneously and sound good is not easy, but they did it effortlessly! I've loved them since the beginning, and to have MJ cosign and agree to perform with them speaks volumes! 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Exactamente

Even just recently, all they did was present an award to T-Swift, and people are still talking about it
You should do Justin's 2013 VMA performance when he won the Video Vanguard Award. It's a great medley of his hits.
Yes, Steven. Turn into a NSYNC stan years later like us 💖
I really appreciate your appreciation of Nysnc and boy bands in general, without a second thought! And also, your appreciation of what they brought to the music world! Yes! I'm here for it! Thanks 👍❤️
Right, I really enjoy watching his reactions because he appreciates all music.
Awesome throwback; great reaction. More live Nsync please lol. Send more request Tracy lol.

Oh I will! I’m already narrowing down for my request next month! 😉😁

This was MJ return to music after he faded away from the public eye for several years. Pretty sure EVERYONE was surprised by this.

My favorite of *NSYNC was the VMA's in 2000 with the TV's.
I have always been a big n sync fan and i em like you I listened to every kind of music growing up if I liked it I never cared what anyone else thought
This is one of those pop culture moments I very clearly remember watching as it aired~^.^
Seeing this tour live in the front row because my son wanted to go was amazing!!!!
This is so great! Completely forgot about this.!!!!

Hahaha I knew this song by heart back then…

The band were fire 🔥❤️
I watched this live. I was I believe 10 years old. At that time that was a big moment!
Iconic performance. Love NSYNC.
Youre the best!!!❤

Steven, you need to react to Schizophrenic, JC Chasez's solo album
Yes, yes, yes. Steven, you'll be so pleasantly surprised. Also, Harry's "Music For A Sushi Restaurant" sounds like it came straight off that album, so you'll feel right at home!
Omg YES PLEASE!

When award shows were fun and had good performers
I so want there to be an Insync pants store that I could shop ! They have the best pants in the business.
i literally just realized that second cartoon voice is britney lmao
My dream is to see your reacting to Michael Jackson live performances, like you did with Madonna, Billie Jean live in Munich will be a good start
Can you watch there bye bye bye and its gonna be me performance
If you want to see boy group choreo just watch any KPOP boy group (it’s weird calling them boy groups some of them are boys but the ones I grew up with now are men)

You should check out big time rush, they released some newer songs after buying the rights from nickelodeon.
