Anksčiau tai buvo smėlingas ir klampus kelias vadintas Tiškevičiaus alėja. Juo iki pat tilto buvo nutiestas geležinkelis, kuriuo kursavo arklių traukiamas vagonėlis, vadinamas konke. Jono Basanavičiaus vardu gatvė pervadinta 1923 m., kai jis gydėsi Palangos Karo sanatorijoje.

Palanga is a resort town on Lithuania’s Baltic coast. Palangos Pliažas is a long beach, backed by dunes. Palangos Tiltas, - an L-shaped pier, was constructed in the late 1800s. It joins the lively, pedestrianized Basanavičiaus Street, lined with bars and restaurants. The neo-Renaissance Tiskevičiai Palace houses the Palanga Amber Museum, which has a large display of amber.

Referring to google map, I noticed that Palanga is located on Baltic coast, adjacent just below the board with Latvia. Is this pedestrianized Basanaviciaus Sreet? It looks like that cars, pedestrians and bicycle riders are using the street all together 😁
It seems very clean, peaceful and quiet place. Walking on the street would be great healing itself. Fully walked with you to the end 👍27~ 11:31
