Nice to see you've got some love for the new Electribe too. I've enjoyed mine quite a bit and they do actually sound a lot better than people give them credit for. Sadly a lot of people only use the presets but the synth engine on it is actually pretty good if you give it some work.
+Matt Greer I hear you Matt :) I love the Electribes ! Especially the ESX and E2S (I am a sampler man) they give me that 'want to turn it on and jam' feeling and they have a sound/character of their own.. This is the box I will miss the most after selling it and to be able to afford a Rytm ;)
ugh, that's a filthy good bass sound. i'm subbinng right now, because i want to hear more of your awesome electribe music! keep it up! i feel you on the polyphony issue; it's tough, but every box has its quirks, and i'm trying to find creative solutions when making my own music on the e2.
+111213forlife Thanks for listening, subscribing and your comment :) Really appreciated. Yeah, the polyphony issue is tough and you really have to do some clever tricks to not make it choke main parts..the insert fx seems to really like eating up voices ;)
That Rephazer sound! Awesome, you remixed Minimal Movement. I love that piece! The polyphony issue can be disappointing sometimes, I know. Looking forward to the next set!
+AA Battery Thanks a lot mate! Yeah I remixed 'Minimal Movement' to end the set, but it's nowhere the quality as the original though it fits the rest of the tracks I think. I am having a hard time with the polyphony.. what really annoys me is that it seems very unpredictable.. Korg should have added some sort of dsp meter so you can keep track and work with it.. Anyway.. I'll practice some more with it.
+Rephazer One thing is to set the parts that don't need to be polyphonic to mono1 or mono2 (most parts are poly as standard). That should free up some memory. Also deactivate filters and FX that aren't used.
+AA Battery Yeah I tried all of that.. I even set the parts that I didn't use to audio_in mono so there won't be an oscilator selected.. The only thing I can think of is my use of some stereo samples which probably eat up 6 to 8 voices each ;) I'll convert every sample to mono next time.
+Rephazer Hmm, I don't have the sampler but aren't all samples mono anyways? I thought I saw that to use stereo samples, you need two parts(L&R)? Is that what you are doing or am I wrong on that?
+AA Battery That's correct.. It uses 2 parts per stereo sample.. It didn't mind me that much since you would hit that polyphony wall before reaching part 10 anyway ;) But I'll see if it will be better with mono samples only.
Yeah! the polyphony wall is a set back and a bummer. Setting priority status to the key parts of the track help... a little. The best and least cost efficient solution, buy 4!! (2 of each version.) Keep jammin!
Rephazer One of the best House Sets with the electribe. Wich melodich is it at the beginning, i mean wich how do you build the melodic part at 1:10-2:20? Do you tweak a synthie sound?
I accidentally hidden a comment from Paul Bliven which I somehow can't unhide. Anyway his comment was: 'How did you get such a good sound out of this?! Ether videos I've heard on this machine make it sound like a cheap toy. But you've actually gotten it to have some nice warmth and some space.' To be honest Paul, I have no idea what could be different with my 'demo' compared to others, but perhaps it's because I use my own samples and try not to compress/maximise everything to the max and loose much dynamics.. My tracks generally have less volume compared to others 😉
Dude you need to make a tutorial on how to make this Minimal/Techno vibe! It would be great for people who wants to learn this box! Also, you got a new sub..
Thanks, I am not very good at making tutorials in general and I don't have the E2 anymore to make one in the first place, but people should be good to go when they have a good idea and vibe I suppose ;)
Hello, thank you for your mix. I have a question what is the best groovebox circuit or the Novation Korg sampler electribe? I do not know which one to buy and thank you again for this music that feels good!
+gaurel patrice Hi there, thanks for the sub and your comment ! Glad you like it :) It's a hard choice.. Circuit or E2.. I think it all depends if your a beginner or already used working with grooveboxes.. ? The Circuit is a very easy groovebox to get you going fast with 2 very nice sounding synth engines, nice quality delay & reverb and a great and easy to understand sequencer... The drum samples are a bit limited and are getting old fast imho, but if your just starting out this is the one you should get. The E2 gives you more soundsettings and with the Sampler version an endless way of changing sounds. I don't like the effects much and they eat up a lot of resources, but I like the freedom of working on the E2 and it's also a great sounding groovebox (much better than esx/emx imho) so if I had to choose between the two it would be the E2 (sampler) because of it's endless possibilties. I hope this helps, but really.. Try them both out at a music store ;) Good luck!
+goldbullet50 Thanks a lot! As far as I know you can only hack the grey electribe if it's on a firmware 1.10 or lower, but check out the electribe forum for more information on it.. and as you can hear it's perfectly stable.. at least it was for me when I used it ;)
Really good demo. Have you exported the audio for post processing (I know you've used your own samples here) as it really does sound better than most Electribe 2 demos.
this is the best E2 set i've heard on youtube along Mistabishi's Dog - God set. too bad he's a racist garbage person, so we can't appreciate his music anymore. Which makes you the youtube King of awesome groovebox videos!!!
Lol, well thank you, but I’m not and do not feel like a ‘King of grooveboxes’ especially not compared to someone like Mistabishi. I am not aware of any racist stuff which is not cool ofcourse, but he really does amazing stuff with the Tribes musically though.
It was a hacked Electribe with a sampler firmware loaded.. Anyway I sold the Electribe not long after recording this set so I have no idea if I still have the sample somewhere.. If I can find it someday I'll let you know.. Though I think it was just a preset of the SH-101 plug-out which you can tryout for a month I think so maybe you can sample it yourself? Cheers

Nice. I can listen to this while working an not get distracted.

Thanks a lot for listening and your comment!
I think you decribed it very well. Easy listening minimal techno ;)
nice jam , great sound , greetings :-)

i enjoyed this. a rare and decent performance on the new ones at last. ive yet to release anything ive done with the red
Thanks, Glad you like it!

Thanks ! Yeah, that probably would look cool.. But I guess your better of using an Octatrack instead ;)
+Rephazer lol true!
limitations can be a good thing.
This is great.
Thanks a lot!
Good work!
Thanks a lot!

Thanks a lot ! Yeah these are two synth samples sequenced and with some parameter tweaking ;)
awesoming stuff mate
Thanks a lot man!

+Rephazer Oh, ok thanks. So these are your drum samples? Makes sense because I thought the kick and snares sounded nicely processed.
+Paul Bliven
That's correct! Every sound you hear in this demo is a sample ;)
+Rephazer But this is not the sampler version ?! This is the synth version ? Can u put samples in the synth version ?!
+MinimalWave1982 This is a hacked synth version.. Search 'Electribe 2 Hack' on RUclips for more info ;)
Gar nicht übel 😊
Thanks

Thanks !
I love that machine =)
It's a very nice machine though I prefer the ESX-1 ;)
héhé I have it at home ( electribe 2 ) how do you record your music ? I mean without ableton just play & record ?
It's recorded on a Zoom H4n. Just play & record ;)
really ? the quality is ok !! you have to put the mic in front of your speaker or your using a jack for this ?
Jack obviously ;) This quality you won't get from a mic.
Bravo!
😊

Thanks!!

+Rephazer Thank you for the answer, and continue like this, it is only the pleasures.
Your welcome :) Cheers!
Nice job! Subbed.
Thanks!
hello cool live super thx
Hi, great comment thanks! ;)
Well done broo =)
Thanks!
This is bloody great. I can't wait to get my hands on this thing. How easy is the sampler hack and how well does it perform? Does it glitch much?
+goldbullet50

Rephazer I've read it's possible to downgrade the device.
That could well be and if so..that''s great :)
Since I sold the E2 I don't keep up with the latest 'hacks'
Really good demo. Have you exported the audio for post processing (I know you've used your own samples here) as it really does sound better than most Electribe 2 demos.
+BluffMunkey
Thanks, It's recorded using a Zoom h4n recorder and mixed the recorded audio with the video afterwards.. Not much more ;)

Hello.
How did the synth bass sqr at 10:10?
Thanks...
😊
Hi, not sure what you mean, but the square bass sound is just a sample taken from the SH-101 plug out from Roland as far as I recall.
It is a Electribe Sampler?
If you do not ask too much, I can have that low sample?
Thank you 😊

nice! is it hard to program a whole track?
+Adam Vnenk Thanks, not really. I mostly un/mute tracks here ;)
