I always had a soft spot for the giant goomba maze since it was one of few where Mario didn’t manage to win. Sure he has plot armor, but that was a nice change, too.
The giant boot one is like that too. Luigi is evil.

Rewatching these videos again, I kinda notice that in the older videos Mario acts more clumsy, cocky, and overconfident leading to some unnecessary death, but in the newer videos, while he still retains some of those traits, he is more cautious, intelligent and takes the levels more seriously and patiently leading to him surviving these levels with more than one live for some of them, most likely due to his past experiences showing that he does learn from them.
and that, my friends, is called character development.

The Pokeball Maze video makes me want a Mario & (some other Nintendo franchise) crossover game where you use elements of both franchises to make a Mario Platformer.

I remember a criticism of the big boom maze was Mario spoke too much in that one. I kind of get it. It is cool to hear Mario speak, but at the same time, so much dialogue can feel like it changes his establishment as a semi-silent character.
And had custom voice rather than the voice used in the actual games.
We need a catalogue of all the unique enemies created by Level Up tbh, all the way from Bomb Plants to these Flies
Man, this series was growing with bigger and even more creative ideas for mario to survive these mazes...😅
