Thank you so much! 🥰🥰🥰
You have been a blessing to me as I have been quarantine for two weeks with Covid. Your energy enthusiasm has really lifted my spirits. Thank you for sharing your joy and your skill!
I'm so glad you have been hanging out with me! So sorry you have covid. Hopefully you will be feeling better soon!! 🤗
Hope you’re feeling better soon! I’ve just been diagnosed with my SECOND kind of cancer, and Denise’s videos are a great distraction when I can’t work on my own art.
Oh no!!! I hope you both are better very soon!!!
NO Denise …. all the colors MUST BE HAD 😂
Haha!! Right? 😁
Denise, a side from you being such an amazing artist and I love love love all your videos. I have been learning so so much from you. I bought my first set Color Box 1 and I just love it, now I wish I had boughten the two boxes because they are so wonderful and you get a better price when you buy the two sets. I'm so dumb, just was being carful, should have just jumped right into it. Oh well now I will have to treat myself to set 2. Thanks again so much for all your inspiration and I'm crafting with you all the time. I love the way you teach me, you are the best, just love your style. You are so full of talent.
Thank you! 🥰
1. I love your laugh!
2. I’ve never been a pink person but as I’m in my late 50s, I find I use it more and even wear it!
3. Absolutely love your videos.
4. I appreciate you! 😊
You’re the best!! Thank you! 🥰
You did darn good! Love these 💕💕💕
Thank you!! 😊
I enjoy a lot your art process, thanks for sharing⭐️💖⭐️⭐️💖💖⭐️⭐️

Love, love, love Denise Love 💕
Thank you!! 🥰
Loved this one. Of course now I need some of that paper. Lol turned out great as usual. Two projects with no gold, now you’re just being mean. 😂
Hahaha!! I just did a video today... and didn't use gold either...🤣 Trying to mix it up some...
I hope you know I’m just kidding with you. I love gold as much as the next one, but love the mixing it up too.
@@pattitolleyparrish Oh yes... I know you are kidding!! 😁
@@2lilowlsstudio Its ok, I'll just paint some gold on my computer screen so it looks like you added it! LOL
@@pattitolleyparrish 🤣🤣🤣
This video right here is why I started the adventure!! Denise, you're awesome, genuine and friendly.❤❤. I'm really looking forward to binging all of them!!

As I have been getting older that pink is becoming my favorite too…I realized it a week or two ago, and I am dreaming of a light pink velvet sofa someday … love your channel, and your spirit
A light pink sofa!! I love that! Thank you! 🥰

I love this palette. I love how you chat as you create on the videos you make. Very inspiring as I am creating to listen and watch you in the background. Thank you for the color challenges. Love it. I bought the color cube bundle. Great to have to kickstart from a block in creativity.
Thank you so much! Hope you love the cubes. I have been having a great time playing in them! 🥰
It is beautiful as a whole Denise
Thank you! ☺️
I really enjoy your art but I LOVE how you get so excited about what’s unfolding on your paper 😍 I can so relate and it’s gorgeous ❤
So glad you enjoyed it!! Thank you! 🥰
Oh my goodness I love this video!!😮 When you started to cut up the piece I was like no no don't do it. But afterwards they are just as beautiful. Gives me courage to cut mine up. ❤
I love to cut things up! 😁 Thank you! 🥰
That yellow ochre looks golden. I’m not a yellow fan but I love this one.
Thank you! 🥰
Such inspiration - your videos always brighten up my day!
Thank you! 🥰
I was thinking maybe you might try some squares or rectangles
in some of your pieces. I do love what you do and I really like how you explain what your doing. Thank you so much for sharing your gorgeous art.💖
I have some squares coming up! Thank you! 🥰🥰🥰
I have been working on an abstract piece and all through the day I have heard you saying..."Be brave"😀
I love that!! 🎨🎨🎨 Thank you! 🥰
I always enjoy your videos so much! I’m totally addicted to them.
It would be sooo great to see more collage videos! Please please please ☺️☺️☺️
I have several collage classes on skillshare - I just haven’t been inspired to make collage recently. 😊
@@2lilowlsstudio i’ve seen some of them, but i’ll make sure i’ve watched them all. Your classes and videos are always inspiring.
That was a great color pallet and I love what you got out of the large one. So thinking of getting the cube
I’ve been really enjoying the color cube! Thank you! 🥰
Hi Denise, I live in Australia and every morning whilst having my first cuppa of the day I watch your latest video.
I find you and your work totally inspirational. I just can't get my head around how creative you are every single day. You make me smile. It's a great way to start my day. Thankyou.
Thank you so much! 🥰🥰🥰
Had a great time with this, Denise, pulling out products that I don't use much (like gelatos) so I could match the colors exactly! It was quick and easy and with all that pink it had to be pretty! TFS!
Awesome!! Thank you! ☺️
I enjoy your videos so much. I look everyday for new ones and rewatch older ones. I learn so much!
Awesome! Thank you! 🥰🥰🥰
Very nice. I like that. Thanks🧡
Thank you! 😊
I’m in love with Love …. You are such a breath of fresh paint …. a true artist who knows what art is all about …. freedom and FUN !
You’re the best. That made my day! Thank you! 🥰
I’ve been painting big with you and I’m excited for a collage video!
Yay! Thank you! 💛
Just a tip😊 for everyone storing their paint tubes vertically: every couple months you should reverse the direction or the pigment and gum arabic can separate. So, if they’re caps up, like in Denise’s video, go thru and switch to caps down for a couple months. They’ll kind of mix themselves again.
Great tip! Thank you! 🥰
Love it !
Wonderful to see this first thing in the 🌄.
Thank you! ☺️
I just signed up on skillshare to participate in your collage classes.... any class, really! Love your energy and tidbits of wisdom.
Awesome! Thank you! 🥰🥰🥰
I just can't believe all those lines, textures and designs could possibly make such a fun piece of art...loving it❣️🤗
Crazy how we get there through the mess!! Thank you!! 🥰🥰🥰
I just love watching you work! I wanted to tell you that a lot of people use a large jump ring to store their Tim Holtz stencils. They write the name of the stencil in permanent marker at the bottom and it’s much easier to flip through that way instead of keeping them in the package. Of course, Tim Holtz sells a jump ring just for that purpose and no, I don’t work for him or anything like that lol. Thank you so much for the inspiration today!
Oh wow!! Fantastic tip! I really appreciate that. I have had tons of stencils for years and really didn’t use them til I started making RUclips videos in April and got them out. I’ve become obsessed with using them on these fun challenges. 😁
@@2lilowlsstudio the product is called ‘cable binder rings’ if you’re interested. I’ve been a papercrafter for years, and I absolutely love stencils too😀
Wow...they came out gorgous. I had my doubt for awhile, but you always come through. Great job. 🌿💕🌿
Thanks so much 🥰🥰🥰
Thank you so much Denis, I really really love ❤️ all of this piece and you’ve created amazing and stunningly beautiful pieces from it. I’m going to add my name to the art club you’ve got. I really really enjoyed watching you creating too. Please stay safe and well too xxx Mags ❤❤❤
Thank you!! 🥰
Glad to see that you are painting larger🎉 Great colors ❤
Thank you! 😊
So inspiring using a limited palette! Thank-you for sharing your expertise. . I'm off to paint!

Love little doggies and kitties too….I have 2 puggies❤️
I have a Yorkie and a Morkie (yorkie/Maltese mix) 🐶🐶
Denise, love your videos…I love working on 300lb CP Kilimanjaro from Cheap Joes. Ships great!
I’ve not tried that paper! I’ll check it out! Thank you! ☺️
Love your ideas for leftover art. Maybe you could do a suggestion video for all the different ideas that you could do???😊 If you don't already have one, that is.
I have several skillshare classes on using the left over pieces of art! 😊
@@2lilowlsstudio ok. Thank you
Love this one, I will have a go at a larger piece 😊
Have fun! 😊
Thank you for this tutorial. You got some beautiful pics out this 😊
Thanks so much 😊
I just realized Denise, you usually wear a top in the color palette you’re painting! How awesome…Always so much fun thank you again
Lol! Not on purpose! 😁
I love how much fun you’re having. You’ve totally inspired me to get my colour cubes out and try this out myself ☺️🫶🏾
You should! Thank you 🥰🥰🥰
These are great...love the colours❤
Thanks so much 😊
I absolutely love my color cubes. I think every artists needs one. It makes life so easy. Love watching you work. Beautiful pieces today.😊
I agree. They are fantastic!! Thank you! ☺️
I recently ordered some large sheets of paper from Opus in Vancouver. They put a few sheets on a piece of cardboard and then wrapped in brown paper. There were two of those bundles inside a cardboard box with scrunched up Kraft paper holding them so the bundles wouldn’t move inside the box. This was the first time I ordered large papers online and I was extremely happy with how they arrived. Maybe if you only ordered a couple of sheets maybe they would roll them in a tube, I don’t know but will definitely order paper sheets from Opus again.
Great info!! Thank you! 🥰
The colors are luscious and the marks…oh the marks! The graphite circles bottle. Imma gonna need to get some of that! 😂 Beautiful inspiration again Denise! 😊
So glad you enjoyed this one! Thank you! ☺️
I ordered a full case of watercolor paper from Jerry's and it was in good shape, well packaged. One time when I ordered a different case of it, it came in dented but they just sent me a new case which arrived perfect and I got to keep all the other case and just cut it up. Love the colors on this one, beautiful!
Oh cool! Thank you. I love that two rivers paper. Would be totally worth trying to order that! 😊
My one thing to have ALL of was Copic markers. It was a dream that came true when hubby got a bonus this year! I’m a lucky girl. Edited to add - I would LOVE to see some of your collage work!
Awesome!! 😊
Been binging and loving your videos! Luckily I also have Skillshare and have been watching those. I’m curious, would you ever consider going live?! That way we can help vote when you cut things up 😅
So glad you are enjoying the videos! As for going live.. this channel is new... and I haven't figured out how to do that yet... so we'll get there! 😊
Ive ordered some really large watercolor paper from Jerrys Artarama and it came in perfect condition.
I like Jerrys Artarama... because I like Charvin paints and that is the only place that seems to carry them... but the last box I ordered - came UPS and was delivered empty... like the paints I ordered busted out of the box... and who knows where they ended up. I was a little annoyed they would pack that in a way that the paints could roll around and do that. I was bummed. I haven't been on an acrylic paint or oil paint kick lately.. so I haven't tried to order again. 😊
Art supplies are sooo expensive here in Canada 🇨🇦!! I can't afford the really pricey stuff yet but soon cuz I'm saving my money! I discovered you last month and LOVE your attitude towards making art! You do it with such JOY and HAPPINESS! I'm making my art that way since finding you Denise. I have 2 RUclips channels and do you have any helpful tips on having a channel devoted to art? Thank you dear and take care!❤😊
Thank you!! 🥰
Definitely use what you have! Better to start practicing and improving as you add supplies you love slowly! 😊
Do I have advise on an art RUclips? Not really. This is a new channel for art so I’m still figuring things out myself! 😊
I love that you are a video making fool 🤩! Thank you for all the fun content. I am a perfectionist and your videos have helped me let loose and that feels great!!! BTW how do you clean acrylic paint from your nails? I ruin my nails all the time…
Thank you!! 🥰🥰🥰
I don’t worry about the paint on my nails.., I just go with it 🤪
@@2lilowlsstudio❤
So fun! I was trying to find the liquid graphite with the pointy tip that you used, but didn’t see it listed. Just curious (I really do not need any more supplies 😂).
That one is in the sketchbox site. It is fantastic: shopsketch.com/collections/sketchbox-exclusives/products/sketchbox-signature-liquid-graphite
Sitting by a glacier fed lake in the Kootenays in BC Canada. Love this so much. Question: Can you sell art where you’ve used stencils? A comment you made makes me think you don’t think so.
Oh. Now I need to know 😮
I don’t know any specifics preventing you from selling your work. My aim isn’t to sell work so I’ve never researched it. 😊
I googled that question and this is what comes up: Yes, it is legal to use a stencil for your artwork and sell this artwork. The use of a stencil is a common way to create artwork, and there are no laws that prohibit it.
@@2lilowlsstudio yay! Because I am loving using them! Thank you for looking it up. You are the best!!
A little dot of paint on the black lids would make it easier for you to find your colors
I saw another artist have her paints with the dots on the lids recently. It is very clever. 😊
So beautiful! Denise, what do you use for a fixative on mixed media to protect all of it without ruining part of it? Thanks in advance!
Really depends on what I use on the paper as to if I finish it with spray. If it has soft pastels or oil pastels - then I use the Sennelier fixative for pastels. Otherwise, you have issues with the pastels. If I don't use anything like that - I don't usually use a finish spray. I store them in clear art sleeves or frame them. You can use the Krylon artist sprays if you want a good one. Gamvar is good for oil paintings. I'll do a finish video soon showing the options I use.
@@2lilowlsstudio THANK YOU!😊
HAHAHA One of your preferred stencils is called corrugated cardboard! I told my husband about this and he said "We have a different variety 'cos it is Canadian," LOL - funny guy.
Haha! Too funny! 😂😂😂
D great videos. Fun! But did not see the graphite blocks/sticks - saw in another video and looked to be different colors. Also did not see the liquid graphite but will look again.
Thank you!! 🥰
The liquid graphite is from sketchbox. The other is: Derwent charcoal blocks - amzn.to/3OiOzle
@@2lilowlsstudio Thanks. Also got that Kuretake set….like I needed more 😳 Love your energy….appreciate the response.
I am learning and trying new techniques because of you, Denise (2lilowls). I am curious what the difference is between the Sketchbox liquid graphite vs using Kuretake fluid graphite. Thank you.
So glad you are trying new things! I think the fluid graphite is a tiny bit thicker, and you have to use a brush or palette knife. The sketch is one has that nice tip you can use to draw with. 😊
Trying to find th "links". Having fun learning from you.🎉
They are right below the video in the description!
heh heh heh heh, I been eyeballing the Kuratake water color paints for some time now. I told myself, if Denise uses the Kuratake wc then I'm gonna buy them. Pausing while I press pay on them as they been in the cart for 3 weeks now. tee hee.
Haha! You need them!! They are some of my favorite! 😁
What exactly was the paper you used? I love the thicker papers. Love this palette!
I tell you the paper in the beginning of that video! 😊
@@2lilowlsstudio I’ll have to watch again, darn. I missed it.
Hi Denise, I love your abstract work.!!! Do you buy your water color paint directly from the manufacturers or art shops. I find art supplies very expensive here where I live. I am watching from Swakopmund, Namibia😊
Thank you!! I buy from local art stores, I order online from art stores and from Amazon. Just depends. I live over an hour from a nice art store - so I have to plan that day out if I am going to drive out to it. 😊
I would love to see your working space
I have some studio tours on my RUclips page under the “inside my studio” playlist! 😊
Can you please tell me the name of the graphite in the little bottle with the fine nib?...the one you could write with. I took a look on Amazon but didn't find it. Thanks ❤
I linked it in the description below the video. It is from sketchbox 😊
Hi Denise. Thank you so much for your videos! While I am more of a cool-side-of-the-color-wheel gal, I really like these pieces today. The contrast in the markings helped me to appreciate the warm colors. I have only dabbled in acrylics as of late and you have sparked my interest in watercolors. As a beginner in this medium, can you offer any suggestions for a "starter kit"? I am addicted to buying art supplies, so a starting list may help me tone it down some. At least for now. 🤣
Those Kuretake watercolors are my favorite currently. The 48 set and the art nouveau set gives you most of the colors. Other than that - I love all my Daniel Smith colors! 😊
I wanna make my own pre-cut frame. What sizes is the inside “the hole/motif size” so I could use it in frames that are out there.
Some standards I use are 3 1/2” x 5”, 5” x 7”, 6”x9” - those are the mat sizes I use most. You can do bigger 8”x10” is a nice size too. All those for std frames you can get in stock at your craft stores, michaels, and target. 😊
@@2lilowlsstudio I have heavier cardstock since I was scrapper so they will be real good now!
Thanks btw
I ordered a large sheet from Dick Blick and got it in a roll in a tube.
Good to know! Thank you! ☺️
So essentially your blouse was your color palette? 😆
Haha! And I didn’t even do that on purpose 😂
Hahaha at one point you said " just get the colours you like, you don't need to get all of them" 😂😂😂😂😂😂In what world is that?
Haha! Apparently not my world! 😂😂😂
♥️🩷♥️
Thank you! ☺️
