Sends a shiver up the spine at 2.55 when The City run out onto the park. Living the other side of the world I dont get to the king Power as often as i would like but the Gallop rings out here every time The City play.
That is not a Kornett( or even a cornet). It is a post horn which was used in the 1800's in England to warn travellers that an express coach (and horses) was bringing the mail into town-not an easy instrument to play on a fast travelling coach. Excellent playing as it is certainly no mean feat to do properly.
Nah! He took the slurs out of the theme (mm.3-4) making it easier to play. The tonging and pitch is cool and everything, but you can't play the theme without the slurs. That's the challenge 😉
It’s a glorified hosepipe with funnel and it sounds so sweet and musical- not an easy thing to do.
Normally the post horn is a coiled instrument. Excellent tripple tonguing.
this song brings back so many memories of being a couple goals down at half time hahahaha
