Considering all the recent updates, I am nothing but a newbie now basically.
expanding eastward mid war might be an option, and you will be getting all those juicy manpower and square cities which can solve quite some problem
Ukraine had all of them puppeted so I decided against it since it would be a hassle
well taking just ukraine could have worked too, they got enough square cities

I already tried rushing Paris in the beginning but their tank production and artillery was able to hold its own.

I formed EU as Sweden and I can confirm it’s the most draining miserable experience I’ve ever had in ron and I do not recommend it (unless you go to a dead server)

So you'll want to take microstates nearby first like Andorra so you can steal their money for much faster factory creation which allows you to outsell other nations then you can invade others more easily. You can also try going fascism or communism ideologies for faster justification time.

It gives the opponent attrition when travelling in the land and also makes cities harder to capture and also produce no tax income or manpower.
