It came into my church and turned everyone, especially the young people, into critics and holier-than-thou self-proclaimed overseers of truth. I'm sorry if division happened in your church. You are right that the body of Christ needs to stick together, but it bears emphasising, the actual, true body of Christ needs to stick together. We need to parse out the hirelings and wolves in sheep's clothing, which scripture warns us will become so prevalent in the end times we are living in (and we are), that "if it were possible, even the very elect would be deceived". When the disciples came to Jesus asking what are the signs of the end, Jesus said, and this is interesting....beware of false Christs (false prophets, false teachers, false religionists....false worship). Groups like Bethel and Hillsong are extremely popular in Christian cultures, but much of their lyrics romanticise Christ. The popular Hillsong song, "oceans"....not biblical. Another popular song emotes "heaven meets earth like an unforeseen kiss". Compare that to biblically rich lyrics such as those by CityAlight. Again, this is not to vaunt oneself, but speaking truth about how hard it is to find truly biblical, God-honouring, God-worshiping artists as the world, and the "church", embraces feel good emotionalism in "worship", rather than strong biblical lyrics.

But reformed theology helps me to realize that if sin removes me from God’s Hand, sin is more powerful than God. At the same time, the Holy Spirit’s conviction and other people helps me to desire holiness.

No theological system is perfect. The Bible does not waste one word in encouraging us to jump into a theological camp (which we are so prone to do). As long as you're right on Salvation, I dont worry about the rest of your Theology. Most "Christian" churches however are wrong on Salvation. It is by Grace through faith plus or minus nothing!

I wish I had discovered this Christian band group long before because I have been listening to some rough and noisy so called Christian gospel songs. God predestined me to salvation based on foreknowledge that I would love him. Romans 8.28 sais so. Praise God that he never twisted my arm to accept christ. Otherwise regeneration would of be based on compulsion. Everyone has the ability to accept or reject Christ. Sadly many people reject him like in the case of John 3.19
