Paul sounds good on this video, and a very good video. I saw Paul sing many times with Willie Neal and he sounds as good as he did then. (Sang Paul!!!)
I'm a Louisiana girl that love quartet singing and I just happen to be on You tube and looked at theses guys singing and I have to look at this piece of video footage every day. Willie Neal Johnson, Don't let the Hearse take you to Church,& Paul Beasley. These are two great singers.if people don't stop worrying about who sang and who act like who the Hearse will take them to church.enjoy what God has allowed someone to record for us to hear and enjoy we have something to elevate our Christian
@ponchieboy68 Willie Neal's legacy is what it is; no one can take away from that. But, many people want to hear the Keynotes as the Keynotes have always sounded ... and getting a lead singer who retains some of that sound delivers that. I'm not offended; I would just love to see people stop obsessing about who is sounding like who and enjoy the music. :)
He use to sing with Mr. Willie though, BUT I will say that "Little Willie" sounds JUST LIKE Mr. Willie, yall gotta hear him. Big ups to my neighboring town, Andrews!
Mam I am not trying to be mean to you, but please do not place erroneous information about someone passing away without getting the facts first. Mr. Robert Williams that sung with the late Mr. Willie Neal Johnson did not die in this supposedly car accident as you stated. The gentleman in the video that you are talking about died back in 1972. This was way before Robert Williams joined the Gospel Keynotes and it is NOT the same Robert Williams. The Robert Williams that sung with Mr. Willie Neal has a group out name Robert Williams and the Nu Keynotes. They have videos posted on you tube. One dated Jan 2016. I hope this brought a little clarity because there are still some faithful fans of the Gospel Keynotes. Its wrong to say someone is dead when common sense tells you that is not the correct person.
Thank you for clarifying that, I apologize for posting incorrect information. You are right, I got it m mixed up and Robert Williams is still very much alive and still singing. There are current RUclips videos of him singing with his own group and singing with Jeffery. Truly I messed that up!
It's not about who is singing or who is acting like someone, it's about the Love of Jesus. When Jesus is in a song or a person is singing a song that someone else may have song you are looking for the blessing of that song and not man. God wants a cheerful giver not someone who is judging everything.no 2 people will sing or act alike. Everybody is different in some type of way or degree.
@ponchieboy68 I understand what YOU are saying. But, just as there are people who think like you, there are people who feel that what Randy is doing retains the sound of the Keynotes ... and the way those songs sound. I think we need to stop criticizing and accept the gospel in whatever way a person chooses to present it.
@Violinaire1 I understand what you're saying and randy is very good at what he does, but the first thing he says is he's not willie and the next thing he does is start TRYING to imitate willie.Randy should just do Randy and let Paul continue to represent what the Keynotes use to be.
@Violinaire1 Please dont be offended,my reply was not intended to be so,and I was not critical of Randy. And please dont be offended because everyone may not see it the way you see it.Also,I found that sometimes the best way to preserve a legacy is to leave it like it is and remember it for what it was.
I loved Willie Neal, too. But, since Willie is passed, you, in your 'infinite' wisdom, would have NO lead singer out front? Some people amaze me! Some people are just haters no matter what. :-// For yoru information, Randy rocked that house, and he did an excellent job. The people LOVED him! Just because you want to spit vitriol does not make what you say true. You need Jesus.
