VoB's introduction to rock and metal seems to have been all-encompassing which is why they range over so many sub-genres which they can encompass within the space of one song.. Their early career was playing covers, anything from Anthrax, Metallica RATM, SOAD, Beastie Boys, Sepultura, RHCP, etc, coupled with traditional Indonesian (Sundanese) folk songs, which last accounts for some of modal and non-European scales/harmonies they use. Around 2021-22 they had tuition from senior members of the previous generation of Indonesian metal from bands like Dead Squad and Burgerkill to hone their already substantial musical skills. Your analysis shows this clearly by separating out the various tracks. Where other reactors/analysts have tended to front up Widi's sensational bass it only has virtue because it sits with the rest of the band. Marsya's guitar and vocal work is remarkable. I challenge anyone to sing those non-Western-scanned vocal lines or raps on top of those intricate riffs. She's not a flashy guitarist but has great flat-pick technique and those solos are melodic, engaging and entirely on point. Sitti's drumming integrates and accentuates either the vocal, guitar or bass line, it rarely just keeps time. Her fills fit precisely in content and compass. I've followed VoB via RUclips since 2019 and seen and heard them grow. I've always thought of them as Marsya, head, Sitti, heart and Widi as soul of the band; you can't separate them, they're all equal. I haven't even mentioned their message! Hearing Marsya's vocals and Sitti's drumwork isolated really allows for a better appreciation of where they are at as musicians (I think most people already know about Widi's (bass) level!)! They all ended up in the Indonesian equivalent of "detention" for "problem" kids at their school. There they came under the influence of an amazing counselor, who channeled their rebelliousness into music (pop at first, but they soon found SOAD, RATM, RHCP, etc on this counselor's laptop and their lives were changed forever)! They've now toured Europe, UK, USA, and Australia!

the first retas album came from music industry environment with music industry standard taste which complete with musical video packaging.. and this mighty album was an indie music style which seem 'a self produce musical genre' although from the perspective of oudio engineer it doesn't make any different..for sure..❤

My favorite soloist is Ayu Gusfanz since the age of 7 to now 18 she has been doing some covers mostly writing and producing her own compositions.
